That is a terrible fight unless Maddalone has improved hugely in the last five years he is truly awful. Believe it was Vinny who Teddy Atlas once said he fights as if moving your head has been banned. Fury is in danger of becoming a laughing stock, you cannot blow out Price saying you are moving on to bigger and better things and deliver Rogan and Maddalone

Theyre describing this Vinny guy as a real Rocky type character, sadly I think theyre talking about Adriene...

Might just be a filler for the winner of the Haye/Chisora is my most optimistic approach.

He has not improved Rowley. He is still terrible. What on earth is Fury doing allowing Hennesey to make a ridiculous fight like this?

Maddalone is very poor and is not even worth fighting, he gains nothing from this

He went from Zack Page to Nascimento to an unbeaten Chisora when everyone picked him to get trampled on... You never know... Hes done the official calling you out video in his trunks on the beach (The right way of course) I think he might want Chisora for a second time if Dereck loses possibly.

Yeah gotta be honest its undefendable... Could be a fun KO...? Trying to be as optimistic as can be when it comes to Furys decision making but my God hes making a near impossible task.

Why not? He's not going to be world champion anytime soon. He's 22/23 let him take his time and do the bum of the month thing for a year and then slowly step it up. Wlad and Vitali have fought what 40-50 guys each?

Whats the rush. lets just be patient let a few talented youngsters get fights under their belts and then leading them into a title fight instead of the Klits rushing them in for an easy win/money

Thanks what can I say.. I try. I read so many posts i disagree with. We really are setting our sports stars up to fail with our expectations at times.

Hennesey is no fool, i am pretty sure he knows Fury is not much of a fighter and will get battered by anyone decent he fights (unless they turn up totally out of shape like Chisora). My money is on the fact they will take no chances and keep him fighting no hopers until the Klitschkos run out of credible opponents and eventually he gets a shot and the big payday.

I think Hennesey is a fool that cn't get enough fights for Fury. He promises dates and oppents that never happen. i think Fury should switch to Hearn who seems to have the touch at the moment. Anyone than corrupt unethical scum bag Frank Warren. Either way he needs to be kept busy and focused. Travellers have come close to being great boxers before now but havn't made it due to lack of focus and lifestyle.

18 fights its really too early to tell with Fury. IF he goes against upbringing, knuckles down and gets quality coaching who knows. Its really too early to say either way.

I don't think that's the point mate, fury was going in the right direction fight mcdermott then chisora but this fight cannot be excused. Its so far down the wrong path its unreal.

The guy is ranked worldwide at 102nd. And that's in possibly one of the worst heavyweight divisions that there has been.

The fact fury gave up his british title stating it was to move on to bigger and better things speaks volumes of hennessy and furys confidence in facing price.

I know what you mean the excitment was there hen he started off he thought better fighters than Audley, price and any other british heavyweight starting off. Price is a good comparrison Fury's oppoents and rounds have been better by a long way.
I do feel that Fury took those fights but left questions about his defence. I feel he needs to go rounds with solid durable b level fighters that he can fight every 1-3 months. He needs to learn his trade again at a slightly higher level before he can move on.

fury only vacated for so he could keep with channel 5. not a great opponent, but not worse than anybody else domestically. i feel fury will need building up in this way if he wants to become champ, price with his skills can jump a few steps but fury hasnt that luxury

So Fury signed to fight Chisora knowing Chisora would come in overweight and apparently disinterested. Whenever Fury's name is mentioned, Price's name crops up also. But who has Price fought that is ranked in the top 1000?

Frankly I hope a boring richard head like Price gets knocked out. He is simply a K2 clone without their intelligence. Plus he's a scouse.

It's not his fault that Chisora is lazy and can't be bothered getting in shape. He still can't ffs!

i bet this will be a exciting bout while it lasts as well. fury is never boring, thats his appeal. you never know when he's guna decide to fight southpaw for the entire fight or turn up with midget sercurity guards

So one of only 3 fighters getting terrestrial TV coverage should go and hide away on Sky? That's madness.

All this love for the Hearns is a bit much for me. Barry sent Herol Graham to box in Spain when the BBBoC wouldn't give him a licence because he had eye issues and Eddie played the biggest role in making Haye v Harrison. So it's not only Warren who has no morals and makes rotten fights.

Good point about the Hearns. Hennessy is ok but just too inactive. I guess because of his small stable of fighters. Maybe the smaller promoters should work together. Anything to get rid of Frank "anyone that leaves me gets a crap write up in the su" Warren.

The Hearns are Sky through and through. They have played a bigger part in marginalising the sport than any other promoter in this country especially Barry. The sport was on it's knees before Boxntaion.

Hennessey can only put on the shows channel 5 let him and they are only putting up enough money for about 6 shows a year.

most promoters are limited by tv slots, maybe they need to put on smaller cards that arent televised to push the talent through

Dave Coldwells been doing that and losing money that's why promoters like Warren, Hearn and Hennessey won't do it.

in the long run when the fighters have the records to challenge for titles the big moey fights will come.

Then they leave you to promote themselves or for a big American promoter and you end up out of pocket.

This fight sucks but Fury is young. But this fight sucks.

Wasnt Fury supposed to fight Chagaev? Doesnt surprise me that he isnt as I actually think Chagaev (even the current shopworn version) could exploit Fury's technical flaws and beat him.
I saw Vinny Maddaone fight Adamek some time back. He was getting bounced up and down constantly by a guy who lacks HW punching power.
Can't see lasting over 3-4 rounds against Fury.

Extremely disappointing, really. The only difference between Tyson and Clev is that Tyson isn't claiming to be a world title holder, but there is no defence. Fine. Fight bum of the month, but don't try to make it sound as if it's a warm up to a huge fight that will not happen. He should have gone for Chagaev!!
