Khan speaks the truth
Khan has recently hit back at Carl Froch's statement that he should retire. Khan has always annoyed me with his constant talk but this time he has hit the nail on the head.

Khan rightfully states that he is young, hungey and has a lot left in him. And regarding Froch he states that he has faced better opposition, resides in a STRONGER DIVISION and is a much bigger name then Froch.
Well done Amir

Re: Khan speaks the truth
He is right about talk of him retiring being silly, but to say he has face better opposition nonsense and there is noway LWW is a stronger division than SMW.
Although he is a bigger name than Carl.

Would disagree about the better opposition. Bute, Ward, Kessler, Taylor, Abraham, Dirrell, Pascal Vs Maidana and an old Judah?

Khan has faced better opposition and the LWW is by far tougher the super mid.
Carl must have forgot.

Re: Khan speaks the truth
The stronger opposition line is nonsense, and anyway didn't Froch only say that if he had suffered such a defeat he would retire?
Sounds like old Rubberlegs has got his knickers in a twist.

Re: Khan speaks the truth
I read this and cringed. Froch - while some people see him as a paper champion has faced some real quality opposition - like best of the best whereas although Khan has wanted to, he's not been able to for various reasons so thats a bit of a moot point.
Also SMW is probably the strongest division out there. Infact I'd go out as far to say as it has the biggest fights made too. Other divisions seem to have good boxers, but terrible fights for the most part.
Anyway, shush Amir.
He'd probably be better not responding AT ALL. Going off the radar then coming back in 6 months time.

C'mon Union
I give Froch Ward but Kessler, Bute, Abraham, Taylor, Pascal can never live up to Malignaggi, Barerra, Mcklosky, or Judah.

Re: Khan speaks the truth
Khan's record:
1. Maidana
2. Kotelnyk
3. Malinaggi
4. Judah
=5. TD's over MAB and McCloskey
Losses to Peterson and Garcia.
Froch's record:
1. Bute
2. Abraham
3. Pascal
4. Dirrell
5. Taylor
6. Johnson
Losses to Kessler and divisional #1 and top10 p4p Ward. No padding
Both strong divisions, I'd say about equal (as Bradley has moved up and PBF/Pac are both WW now), but I don't think there's a case for Khan having a better record as it lacks both the quality and depth of Froch's though they both score well for travelling.

Khan shouldnt retire and can still carve out a decent career but has to lower his goals, at least for the next few years.

I've come up with the phrase "ChicKhan Dance" but can't seem to work it in anywhere.

Re: Khan speaks the truth
No question that Froch has fought the better opposition.
But I don't blame khan for speaking out - he's just been publically humiliated, his dreams of a mega fight with pbf in tatters and his career back in the rebuilding phase - he's gonna be feeling bad enough, last thing he needs is Froch sticking the boot in. Proposterous to say a 25 year old should retire because of a 3rd career defeat. Froch stock is high after his Bute win, public spats with a fighter he can never meet in the ring are pointless and do no-one any favours, he should keep it shut.

I don't get it. Khan was at Froch's bout with Bute supporting him. I thought they made up.

I think the previously mentioned mis-reporting hasn't helped, Froch said that if he'd suffered the same on the bounce losses HE would have retired. He never actually said Khan should.
