Jon Lord Deep Purple

Just seen that Jon Lord one of the founding members of Deep Purple has died.
He formed Deep Purple along with Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Paice in 1968 writing some of rocks greatest songs Smoke on the Water and Black Night. Deep Purple reformed in 1984 with the Mk II line up which included Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, Jon Lord remained with Deep Purple until 2002.
He has was diagnosed with cancer last August.
Jon Lord was 71.
