Sad to hear the news of the death of one of Wales' greatest players. I wasn't born when he played but met him on a few occassions and he was a true modest gentleman. Have heard a lot about him from older people and would have loved to have seen his partnership with Belddyn Williams. A true great.

Jack and Bleddyn were one of the classic centre combinations of all time for both Wales and the Lions a combination of Bleddyn's silky skills and Jack's rock hardness being an ideal balance .

Going three rounds with Rocky Marciano in his service days at St Athans and earning a draw just about sums him , as Pyleboy65 says his modesty would not allow him to brag of this. He will be sadly missed.

Never saw him play but by all accounts he was a legend. Rest in peace.
