Re: Fantasy European League™ Season 2 - Round 8
mancity 2-1 spurs
nasri, rooney
navas
mancity is an overall much stronger team than spurs. city's midfield 3 dominated the spurs midfield and nasri got the better of the brazilian maicon throughout the whole game. the frenchman got the first goal of the game after he bamboozled maicon and got his shot in the top corner of the net. rooney found space in behind the spurs defence when he was found by a thru ball by modric and late in the 2nd half navas got a consolation for the away side.
dortmund 1-2 barca
kagawa
iniesta, rvp
barca give another master-class performance against dortmund. this dortmund side is not bad going forward and they also got the first goal of the game through the kagawa whose shot crept past the diving barca goalie. barca got into their stride after that early shock and started keeping possession and finding holes in the dortmund defence. in the end it was xavi's 2 sublime passes for iniesta and rvp which gave barca a one goal lead over dortmund which they held manage to hold on to till the end.
real 2-1 united
fab, pirlo
benz
real just managed to beat united in this fixture. the home side got the lead early on thru fabregas as he exploited scholes' lack of pace and drove in the box to finish. united responded by getting the ball out to their wings and trying to take the real fullbacks on. in the second half united got the equaliser thru benz when he was on hand to tap in the ball from close range after a spill by the real goalie. the home side got in their stride and pushed united back for the entire 2nd half and got the winner near the end thru pirlo's fk.
arsenal 1-1 bayern
mata
ibra
two strong teams had to settle for a point at the Emirates this week. the away side dominated the early proceedings but couldnt capitalize on the gunners weak start. it was the home side who against the run of play got a goal from a swift counter. valencia and mata broke with pace and the winger laid the ball on a plate for mata for a simple tap in. the away side started to push and probe arsenal and on the stroke of half time managed to find an equalizer thru new signing ibra.

Re: Fantasy European League™ Season 2 - Round 8
Manchester City 2 - 2 Tottenham Hotspur
Alonso ---------------- Messi 2
Rooney
Spurs have a nice attack but their midfield and defence are weaker than their opponents. City had the edge overall but Spurs have Messi and he can win matches on his own. Today it wasn't a win but he definitely earned Spurs a point.
Chelsea 0 - 0 Inter Milan
Two good sides who are both well organised and make life hard for their opponents. Such was the case today as both sides struggled to create many clear cut openings and when they did, a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept the scoresheet blank. A draw is about right.
Borussia Dortmund 1-3 Barcelona
Lewandowski ----------- Ronaldo 2, RvP
A plucky enough performance from the German champions but Barcelona were simply too good on the day. Not much wrong with their side. The centre of their defence is getting on in years but has masses of experience. Nonetheless, Dortmund caused them some problems but were unable to make their openings count. Evetually Barca will carve out a decent chance and sure enough they did. Once Ronaldo put them ahead, RvP quickly doubled the lead and that was that. Ronaldo duly added a third before Lewandowski grabbed a deserved consolation for the home side.
Real Madrid 1 - 0 Manchester United
Aguero
A much changed Utd side with new manager captainunited making his mark. I like the new look side although some further strengthening may be required if they are to challenge the likes of the Spanish giants. Today they put in a solid performance but were always slightly second best to their hosts and eventually Aguero nabbed the vital breakthrough. Only one goal but enough for the points.

Re: Fantasy European League™ Season 2 - Round 8
Man City 1-0 Tottenham
Ribery
City weakness: Maybe a more natural CB, better DM.
Spurs weakness: Not sure Rio-Mexes is the most solid partnership and Essien on the wane.
===
Chelsea 1-1 Inter Milan
Ozil
Sneijder
Chelsea weakness: Dzagoev and Marin tar otherwise brilliant attack. Inexperienced defence (Alaba?)
Inter weakness: Don't particularly rate Gaitan. Bonucci also uncertain.
===
Real Madrid 2-1 Man Utd
Bale, Aguero
Cambiasso
Madrid weakness: Luiz stands out at the back, otherwise strong side.
MU weakness: Srna is the obvious weakness. Scholes too depending on ratings.
===
Arsenal 0-1 Bayern Munich
Silva
Arsenal weakness: Parker, Malafeev and Santos all standout, particularly last two.
Bayern weakness: Pereira most glaring. Moutinho given the quality of the midfield but that's encouraging.

Re: Fantasy European League™ Season 2 - Round 8
Man City 2 - 1 Tottenham
Modric ---------- Higuain
Nasri
City with no manager fought like tigers against a wonderful Spurs side. However it was the visitors that took the lead when Higuain was 1v1 and rounded the keeper to score. City bombed forward and instantly replied with Modric's sweet curler and that was followed up by Nasri who flew past a few players and checked back to bend low for the winner.
-----
Chelsea 1 - 2 Inter Milan
Gomez ---------- Sneijder (2)
2 wonderful long range strikes from Sneijder gave Milan a brilliant victory in this fascinating open game. The game was end to end with both teams looking only for a win. Gomez scored the opener with a well placed header. However, Chelsea backed off and let Milan come towards them which gave Sneijder more time and space and he let fly from 30 yards which the keeper had no chance. Again Sneijder was given space and again he scored from 30 yards.
----
Borussia Dortmund 1 - 3 Barcelona
Kagawa -------------------- Ronaldo, Iniesta, Van Persie
Barcelona were in great form in this game as the passing was crisp and everybody was on the same wavelength. Iniesta assisted 2 and got the goalsheet too but overall, Barcelona dominated and gave very little away. Dortmund were chasing most of the game but Kagawa did pull a goal back when Hazard played him through.
---
Real Madrid 1 - 0 Man Utd
Tevez
Tevez got off the bench and smashed in the winner as this game was tight from start to finish. Earlier Bale hit the post and Robben should have had a penalty but his fall was over exaggerated which didnt help him. It was Tevez that picked the ball up and exchanged passes with Fabregas and Aguero and he blasted it past the keeper.

Re: Fantasy European League™ Season 2 - Round 8
City 1 - Spurs 0
Nasri
Nasri tormented the spurs full back throughout and won the game for city late on. Both side had chances but Spurs might have lost a bit too much by getting Messi in.
Dortmund 2 - Barce 4
Hazard, Kagawa - Ronaldo x3, RVP
A fast paced attacking game with both sides better going forward. Dortmund are still week at full backs and this allowed Ronaldo to steal the show scoring a hattrick and setting up RVP. Dortmund kept going and twice got back into it but it wasn't to be.
Madrid 2 - United 0
Pirlo, Aguero
This Madrid side is just awesome now and a controlled performance bought the victory. Losing Ronaldo/Messi has actually aided Madrid as they strengthened in every other position. United didn't play badly but everyone will struggle against this Madrid side.
Arsenal 0 - Bayern 2
Silva, Sanchez
Yet another match where the wingers dominated the fullbacks. Kam needs a new left back so badly and both Silva and Sanchez both skinned their marker before spotting home. Other than those two moments the game was very close and Arsenal had chances but it wasn't their day.

Yet another match where the wingers dominated the fullbacks. Kam needs a new left back so badly and both Silva and Sanchez both skinned their marker before spotting home. Other than those two moments the game was very close and Arsenal had chances but it wasn't their day.

Size isn't everything Kam.
At least that is what my wife used to tell me, although now she just laughs.

You should get a full bonus since you did descriptions. I imagine Pull just put you in the wrong list. Add £3m. I don't see anyone querying it.

Take the average score and then add a goal if you have four more winning predictions than your opponant.
