Fantasy World Club 7's Comp?
Watching the JP Morgan 7's got me thinking, what would other tournaments clubs/regions teams look like in a similar comp, and just how good could some of them be?
Imagine that as a charity event each team from every top league globally (feel free to use either SupeRugby or the leagues below that for teams) was asked to field a 7's side in a one off tournament. What would your clubs team look like and do you think you'd stand a good chance of winning the thing?
Harlequins Euro 7's team
Forwards:
Marler
Fa'Asavalu
Wallace
Backs:
Care
Clegg
Hopper
Monye
Bench:
Gray, Buchanan, Guest, Dickson, Botica, Lindsay-Hague, Chisholm.
(7's teams are made up of 3 forwards and 4 backs, a bench of 7 is allowed but only 3 are allowed on each game.)
Looking at that i'm not sure how well we'd do, the forwards at least will give a good account of themselves but our backs probably aren't the deadliest in space compared to some teams. Plenty of physicality in there though and Care would be a big threat alongside Monye.

Falcons
1 Tui'fua
2 Fitzpatrick
3 Yorke
4 Hodgson
5 Catterick
6 Tuipolou
7 Shortland
Alternatively i could just hire a bunch of Pro 7's players with no connection to the club

Hmm at Tigers, probably:
Manu, T Youngs, de Carpienter (former England 7s)
B Youngs, Ford
Tait, Lewington
Bench: Mafi, Croft, Harrison, Benjamin, Goneva.
Hmm slight temptation to bring in another flyer from the academy as at the minute the team is a tad relient on brute force. Four former England 7s players in the starting line up isn't bad and with Mafi and Croft on the bench ye olde cross field kick is a definite goer as legs start to tire.

Edinburgh :
1. Denton
2. Rennie
3. Grant
4. Laidlaw
5. Scott
6. DeLuca
7. MacVisser
Bench - MacInally, Rees, Brown, Jones
I reckon Edinburgh would do well in a 7s club tournament.

Re: Fantasy World Club 7's Comp?
Bring him on for the second half Geordie, by then the power and pace of the front row will have done some serious carrying damage and both Mafi and Croft can be let loose on the tiring legs of the opposition. Balance out the reduction in bulk with one of Goneva or Benjamin coming on.
