TNAs bad habits are back!
If we look back at TNA from about 2-3 years ago, what were the main gripes?
Ex WWE stars beating down the young developing stars
The authority figure of Dixie throwing herself into centre stage
Crazy storylines like Voodoo Kin Mafia slagging off the WWE
Xpac/ Hall burying the stars of tomorrow
Main event heel turns for the sake of shock value
Well it looks like those awful issues are prevalent again and I hope that they get slaughtered for it.
yes, WWE = TNA circa 2008/9
Ex WWE stars beating down the young developing stars
WWE Legends beating down Heath Slater each week. Has it really elevated him? He has played it well, has his stock risen or has he been buried.
Brock? Rock?
The authority figure of Dixie throwing herself into centre stage
Steph McMahon and Vince took up centre stage last night.
Crazy storylines like Voodoo Kin Mafia slagging off the WWE
Well the VKM turned up in the opening segment last night!
Xpac/ Hall burying the stars of tomorrow
Xpac was in the opening segment. Also Kane and Undie (who are past the twilight of their careers) buried 5(maybe more) young talents. Sandow was also buried for cheap pops.
Main event heel turns for the sake of shock value
CM Punks heel turn? Why exactly? Other than shock value?
Hopefully everyone of the IWC who criticised TNA for their folly will do exactly the same to the WWE.
Kind Regards
Adam

I really liked the Voodoo Kin Mafia storyline even though it went no where.
Other than that agree with you but thousands and millions wouldn't and most importantly the viewing public won't turn off WWE.

raw this week was just a one off for raw 1000 bringing back legends to make people tune in and watch it was more about the legends monday and celebrating raw than storylines etc. dont worry they will be back to their usual rubbish from next week onwards i promise

Adam, If you look at the majority of my posts I have been very critical of the 1000th show, just like I would be if it was TNA.

I don't really agree with any of this. Raw1000 was mainly a one off and quite rightly celebrated past wrestlers.
And if CM Punk comes out next week and says he did it because even as champ he has played second fiddle to Cena and Rock etc then the heel turn makes perfect sense.

Re: TNAs bad habits are back!
I have to disagree with this, Raw 1000 was a one off show so ex legends returning should have happened, Vince and Steph were a massive part of Raw at one point.
If the reason for Punk turning heel turns out to be a great idea, then no one will complain, it's the fact we haven't been told why yet which is annoying most people, which is the idea to make us tune in next week.
As for Damien Sandow, I thought it was fantastic he was put in with DX, it gave him some great exposure and I thought his interaction with them was great and actually quite funny. It didn't hurt him one bit, if anything it made him better.
Heath Slaters jobbing to the legends has given him TV time which let's face, he would never have had. Which has only helped him, seeing as anyone could have had this role.
Though Taker and Kanes squashing of several no bodies felt rushed I think it's the guys who wern't chosen for that segment who should be worried, if your behind Jinder Mahal in the squashing order you must be an awful wrestler.
I'm not saying Mondays Raw was great, but it wasn't bad either. It was a one off show celebrating a huge landmark for the company. Seeing as wrestling is generally looked down upon by most of the world, this is a massive achievement

sandow was superb in the dx segment, the fact he interupted them has clearly shown his stock in the wwe has increased. he held his own in there and it worked really well. love him to take the us title of santino.

The structure of the show was exactly the same as every week, the only difference was the jobbers were jobbing to ex "legend" talent instead of main event active talent.

I disagree with people who say it was a one off because it was special show, because it seems all too frequent these trips down memory lane.
For starters you could of had the active full time guys play a more prominent role in the show instead of being cast aside, this was a chance to really get the new guys mixing with the older guys and really help them get over because the way its going, come episode 2000 they will have to wheel the same old guys out because the younger guys haven't had the same chance to get over.
Maybe have another segment between Y2J and Ziggler, but this time instead of wasting about 100 "legend" talent appearances on just one segment for Heath Slater, Have a couple come out and do a promo with Ziggler or any other guys for that matter. I only have to assume Rhodes is injured or something because to be passed by for the show is imo Criminal.

The show was a special celebration of 1000 episodes of Raw it had to have past wrestlers in it. It certainly was a one off.
I get what you're saying the legends could have put over the current talent better. But that didn't ditract from the entertainment of the show. I don't sit and watch wrestling with a business head on thinking, they'll pay for that down the line cause they're not pushing the young guys. I watch it to be entertained and I was. It was great seeing some old faces and not the ones that are always wheeled out.
Yeah they could have done something like that with Ziggler a little like when Piper came out to talk to Cena months back. But I think you'll find Jericho being involved with Ziggler is pretty much what you're talking about. A feud with Jericho is always going to help push Ziggler up another level.
And you can't rely on the legends to push the new talent anyway. Next week it will be all current talent and no legends and they'll have to make names for themselves until they get to a point when the legends come back they are big enough to go over them ala CM Punk.

Re: TNAs bad habits are back!
Jesus some of you take it all far too seriously dont you.
I gave up on wrestling a long time ago. Its years past its peak.
I've come to realise that bickering about the booking of pre-determined entertainment is on par with women having a good chin wag about Eastenders. Maybe some of you, who like me are reaching 30 and whose favourite era was the 88-95 years which will never be repeated and which i will always compare to, should have a reality check and just take it for what it is.
If theres some good bits, great.
If its poor, oh well.
Now tell me to leave the board and dont comment if i dont like it!

I can also reveal that Alfie Moon has entered the royal Rumble as a surprise entrant, as he revealed two weeks before the rumble.
Also Dot Cotton has been wished well on her future endeavours.
TNA > WWE.

If WWE is Eastenders, does that mean TNA is Coronation Street?
Impact has definitely been getting more "soapy" just lately with the AJ / Claire thing...not to mention Madison Rayne mysteriously having the hots for referee Earl Hebner (smooching him in the ring before a match)?

If WWE is Eastenders then TNA is The Bill (ex Eastender stars always ended up on it, and yes I know the Bill is no longer on before anyone says) and ROH is that soap shown in Wales as it's loved by those that can watch but most people have never really watched it.

Re: TNAs bad habits are back!
Eastenders are just pushing the same old faces to the top of the programme. I'm sick of it.
You've got a guy like Fatboy - who's ten times more talented than the Branning boys and the like - and he's stuck in meaningless storylines. I mean he's been made to look weak in the past like that time when he let Whitney run off with that Tyler Moon guy but he sucked it up, knuckled down, upped his workrate and developed his promo skills. Where did that get him? Nowhere that's where! He gets bit parts where his only line will be "Awlright bruv?" but it's still delivered with more panache and verve than anything Michael Moon has said in his ENTIRE Eastenders career! If I were Fatboy I'd ask to be released from my contract and try starting over in Hollyoaks. Only then can Fatboy rise to the top of the soaps and finally realise his full potential.
As for me, Eastenders have lost a loyal viewer as a result of their shenanigans. I was a complete Eastenders mark I can tell you, I bought the t-shirts, the posters and the pay per views. But there's been such a downturn in the quality of their product that I've become seriously disillusioned with it all. I'm gonna switch my allegiances to Doctors instead.

The Moons boys being a face faction, you have Tyler and Antony to be the tag team, Michael to be a mid carder with constant teases of turning heel and breaking away ( he is a tweener )and Alfie as the mouth piece of the group.
