Going straight to the last page of a topic from the home page?

When on the home page and you have the sections listed - Football - Golf - Rugby Union etc, you can see which topic the last post was in. If you click on this topic and it has more than one page, it takes you to page 1.

If people have been following the thread but go elsewhere on the site and want to come back to it, it would be nice to be able to go straight to the last page of the thread.

Would it be possible to have some sort of Jump to Last Page option on the threads on the home page?

I realise it sounds like a trifling matter, only saving one click, but we're busy people and time is money.

If you click the little white "view latest post" icon to the right of the author's username on the topic the last post was in, it should (if you're logged in and have cookies enabled) take you to the newest post on a thread since you last closed your browser (or if you've already read on that thread in your current browser session it goes to the newest unread post)

How about on mobiles? If a thread is longer than 10 pages it takes about four years to click to the last page if using a phone.

You would need to switch to Classic View for that. It is one of the biggest problems I find with the mobile view and the reason I don't use it.
