It a good thing it is on Sky now, because seems like there is zero chance of getting a ticket now. Already sold out with 3 weeks to go.
The MGM holds about 16,500 people, hardly like selling Knebworth out 3 nights on the trot. The fact it's on Sky is irrelevant, I doubt there would have been a British invasion to Vegas to watch it had Sky not put it on...

Just realised I don't even know when the fight is? Start of June? When are the other 360 episodes?

That just isn't true I have been to both the MEN and MGM for big fights and if anything Vegas is cheaper as the casinos can subsidise ticket revenue with increased take at the gambling tables, the MEN does not have this option so there tickets do not tend to be any cheaper than Vegas casinos

I don't know Windy, went to the Wolves game the other week, sitting through Gary Barlow suddenly did not seem such a bad option.

I thought start of May, but didn't think that was so early. I'll admit in America it's still quite impressive, they really struggle to sell boxing events atm. Last weekends card started at $25 and couldn't sell out, this starts at $150.
Why would you need a week off work? Are you going?

When I was looking into ringside seats for Hatton vs Pacquiao, some of the prices were $20,000, think the cheapest tickets were around $250.
I been to watch Calzaghe fight over here and just a about 8 rows back got tickets for £80.

Bigger stadium.
Why not stage this in a bigger venue if it's a bigger opponent?

To be fair, D4, it has little to do with the anticipated quality of the fight. Manny would sell tickets if I fought him. He's a superstar, and it matters little whom he's fighting. Ali v Richard Dunn, anyone ?

I normally don't like to verbally abuse anyone, but I will make a special exception in Mayweather's case.
I might do that Ali thing, where he found out where Frazier was staying go round in the early morning with a megaphone and give him some abuse.

Gets no bigger.
D4 will be taking the week off work as he'll need time for his groinal friction burns to heal properly and if anyone thinks Manny is going to stand in front of Mosley long enough for Shane to throw one of these fabled "monster" shots then we need to invent a new word to accurately describe how delusional you are.
There's no way on God's green Earth that Roach's tactic will be "stand in front of him" unless it's preceded by the words, "On no account should you"
Why doesn't Manny fight Andre Berto or someone with a pulse?

Re: Pacquiao VS Mosley Live On Sky Sports
Berto gets taken out in 4 rounds.
Roach's will not be to stand in front of Mosley but Pacquiao has gone off plan before, he is a great fighter and has an ego, if Mosley tags him Pacquiao is going want to fire back and prove he can out slug Mosley.

Dave current thinking is the sky is simply not big enough for Manny. Rumour has it all work has ended on the Hadron collider and the biggest and best brains the planet currently has at its disposal are working on ways to solve the problem of finding a format that is truly fitting of Manny's majesty. It is no coincidence that there has been little talk of space exploration since Manny exploded onto the public consciousness, NASA only have limited resources and they now the big issues when they are confronted by them.

Didn't they broadcast Manny's last fight on 3d TV, I think Sony or someone was promoting it in the lead up to the fight.

Much as I dont like the Mosley fight, it has to be said that Berto has done diddly squat to justify that fight, the guy is completely unproven at world level. About time he stepped up his level of opposition if he wants the big paydays.

Berto is untested at the highest level, and looked vulnerable in some of his fights. He would have to do a hell of a lot to change my opinion on him.

Whilst I am far from convinced by Berto he has youth on his side and the key difference for me is until a guy is thrust into the lions den we don't know how he will perform and whilst I consider it unlikely Berto could step up when presented the opportunity.
This is not the case with Mosley we know exactly what he brings to the table and based on the Mayweather and Mora fight we can all be fairly certain it will not be anywhere near enough

Chances are Berto doesn't beat Manny but to suggest he isn't worthy of a shot...WHEN APPARENTLY SHANE MOSLEY IS...seems a strange comment to make.
D4, as for you claim re Berto being taken out in four rounds, outside of Hatton, who has Manny disposed of inside four rounds? Idiot boy.
If Clottey can get a fight with Manny then I don't see why Berto can't? As I recall, prior to the Haiti disaster, Mosey was lined up to face Berto so why is Berto unworthy of a shot?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Berto's the man to beat Pac but surely a young hungry fighter is better than and old starving/dehydrated one.

Re: Pacquiao VS Mosley Live On Sky Sports
Thing is though Scott outside of Mayweather there is pretty much nobody I give a chance of beating Manny at 147 or lower and the same is true of Floyd, so unless they fight each other there will always be criticism.
I genuinely believe at this stage Berto is the more live opponent and would have been far happier with him getting the gig rather than Dorian

Mosley's been fav for a lot of fights and look what's happened in them! I wouldn't put too much store in who people pick as favourites, least of all when your name is within 100 yards of it.
Maybe when Berto steps up and fight someone of any note then we could start making plans for that fight.

WE? What possible involvement will YOU have with it, you silly little man?
As stated by others, should that fight ever get made, no doubt you'll be on here waxing idiotic about how the monster Berto is likely to kill Manny when he lands and what's left of our spirits will curl up and die...something you'd be well advised to do!

Much as I dont like the Mosley fight, it has to be said that Berto has done diddly squat to justify that fight, the guy is completely unproven at world level. About time he stepped up his level of opposition if he wants the big paydays.
Chances are Berto doesn't beat Manny but to suggest he isn't worthy of a shot...WHEN APPARENTLY SHANE MOSLEY IS...seems a strange comment to make.
Come on DAVE you know better than that. He may be the WBC title holder but he won the vacant strap against Miguel Rodriguez and his most significant defense came against Carlos Quintana. His other biggest wins were unimpressive decisions over Urango and Collazo, a pair of over the hill fighters that Ricky Hatton beat years ago. Bert from Sesame Street probably has a better resume. I never made the comment that mostly WAS worthy of the shot, just that Berto isn't. Stick an unproven young fighter in with manny and there's the risk he gets blown away, which is not only detrimental to his career but also makes the event a farce. Add to the fact that Berto could be fighting for a world title in his own living room and there'd still be empty seats, do you really expect this fight to happen?

Mosley's been fav for a lot of fights and look what's happened in them! I wouldn't put too much store in who people pick as favourites, least of all when your name is within 100 yards of it.
Maybe when Berto steps up and fight someone of any note then we could start making plans for that fight.

WE? What possible involvement will YOU have with it, you silly little man?
As stated by others, should that fight ever get made, no doubt you'll be on here waxing idiotic about how the monster Berto is likely to kill Manny when he lands and what's left of our spirits will curl up and die...something you'd be well advised to do!
Don't you remember the clock I put on Mayweather to sign the contract.
You mean, the one you lifted from another website. The same website, in fact, which now reckons Martinez is breathing down Manny's neck for no.1 spot because Manny has fought weak opposition last three times out.

We paid about as much interest to it as Floyd did or as Manny does to your fawning love letters.
Get over yourself lad, you're nothing to anyone!
