Wrestlemania 27 card - not looking good.

Last night, the top end of this years Mania card was made to look pretty obvious if i'm honest.
Here are the results from last nights PPV:

Edge beat Dolph Ziggler.
Vickie and the ref were both down, Edge hit Dolph with a Spear.
He then pretended to be hurt when the ref got back up, then he hit Dolph with The Killswitch for the win, which was quite cool.

The Miz beat Randy Orton.
Orton was in control, Nexus came down to the ring without Punk, Orton threw Riley into the Nexus, and their was a ref bump.
Orton hit Miz with an RKO, Punk then entered the ring and hit the GTS on Orton, then dragged Miz's arm over to cover Orton for Miz to retain.

Eve beat Lay-Cool and Natayla in a Fatal Four Way for the Divas Title. Don't know what they were thinking here, Natayla was doing well as champ.

Royal Rumble Match -
I won't go into much detail here as there is a review already on this page, but i'll pick out the main points:

Big Zeke eliminated Big Show all by himself.
Riley entered the Rumble, and Miz joined commentary, Riley was quickly eliminated. Shortly after he came back out distracting Cena, for Miz to come off commentary and eliminate Cena.
Del Rio won the Rumble last eliminating Orton, Barrett was also in the final 3. At least thats what we thought, Santino rolled back in the ring and hit successfully the Cobra on Del Rio, he then celebrated and went to throw Del Rio but Del Rio countered and officially won the Rumble.

So, after last nights events, Mania seems to be shaping up like this:

The Miz(C) vs John Cena - WWE Title match. (If this match has to happen, i really do hope they add some sort of stipulation to it, another singles match between these two would be an absolute snoozefest.)

Randy Orton vs CM Punk. I was hoping for Punk to win the Rumble so this match would be for the title, but i don't think it will be. Due to the fact Miz is still champ, and Cena is always in the title match. Should still be a good match though, i'm expecting Punk to explain his actions on tonights Raw, and say how Orton cost him his WHC at Unforgiven 08 by punting him in the skull, and he never got revenge; until now.

Edge(C) vs Alberto Del Rio - WHC match.
Very simple, Edge retains at EC, Del Rio chooses to face Edge at Mania. Won't be a bad match, just seems a bit stale for Wrestlemania; for me.

Wade Barrett vs The Undertaker.

Big Show vs Ezekiel Jackson.

Triple H vs Sheamus - Last Man Standing Match?

Now i'm hoping Cena vs Miz doesn't happen, especially not for the WWE Title, i mean whats the point in it? Cena will obviously win, and Miz doesn't deserve to main event Mania, yet.

Barrett vs Taker looks nailed on happen, doesn't do anything for me, although i guess it is a lot better than Kane again; which seems to be Takers only other realistic opponent at the moment.

Triple H vs Sheamus seems pretty certain aswell, although i'm not sure when Trips is going to return. Hopefully will be a Last Man Standing match, or something along those lines.

I'm hoping both titles will change hands at EC and there will be a few twists like last year, but i don't think that will be the case this year. As many of us have read, this years Rumble was meant to indicate a lot of what will happen at Mania, and so it has. With the above matches we have MITB (hopefully) still to add, plus one of the IC, US or Tag Titles to surely be defended.

All i can say is, its not looking good folks.

I think that given the right booking this could be very good, shows how far Miz has come so far.

WHC Title
Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio

Finish off this feud in style, Rey to win at Elimination Chamber and then put ADR over clean

MITB Ladder Match

Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston vs Ted DiBiase Jnr vs. Cody Rhodes vs Tyson Kidd vs Jack Swagger vs Drew McIntyre vs John Morrison

Streak Match

Taker vs Kane vs Wade Barrett

Bourne in MITB possibly to make it 10 along with Justin Gabriel

I see that card at Mania looking like this,and hopefully it will be a good show.

WWE Title
The Miz vs John Cena vs CM Punk vs Randy Orton.

I know they have done the fatal fourway thing before and maybe Wrestlemania should be reserved for singles matches but I think this one does work as there is a spark between all four men and will keep the audience interested. This will be probably end up being the main event of Extreme Rules or Fatal Fourway instead.

World Heavyweight Title
Edge vs Alberto Del Rio

We could see Christian thrown in for good measure,depending on fitness but I doubt it.Straight up singles match and Del Rio to walk out as champ.Christian then comes back and all three men can have a TLC match hopefully the following month.

Wade Barrett vs The Undertaker

I think its obvious Taker will make his little one off appearance and it will be in this match.I dont like it as I think Barrett is a good work and unless he takes the Streak (very unlikely) then it makes him look stupid by jobbing to the guy who cant even walk properly anymore. If Taker isnt fully fit then I can see somehow the Brothers of Destruction re-uniting for one night only and taking on Corre in some sort of tag team affair.

Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes

Apparently Rey has hand-picked Rhodes to be the man he works with in this feud so hopefully Cody gets good airtime because he is mustard. But no doubt this will go ahead and Mysterio will bury Rhodes like he did Punk last year in a poor showing.

Big Show vs Kevin Nash

After the square-off at the Rumble I can see this being a filler on the card as they have history,fully dont expect Nash to be able to replicate the Jackknife he did all those years ago on The Giant,unless they are replacing his knee caps with cinder blocks.Will be ok but nothing special,probably get a snack during this.

Triple H vs Sheamus

Its gonna happen and to be honest I dont mind one bit,HHH is a good character and Sheamus is brilliant in my opinion.Hopefully The Game doesnt bury Sheamus but I do not see a stipulation for this one, as stips are usually left out of Mania and saved for the following month but I could be wrong on this count.Should be a decent dust up anyhows.

There will be probably be a Nexus vs Corre tag team match.If Barrett and Punk are engaged elsewhere then I can see Gabriel,Slater,Jackson plus a new member(probably Tarver or Sheffield but could be someone from NXT 4 like Clay) vs Harris,Otunga,McGillicutty,Ryan and hopefully some of these guys will get a chance to shine.Harris,McGillicutty and Jackson and maybe Ryan are the stand out stars of each group and the rest havent got too much to write home about in my opinion.

MITB(if it happens,I like this concept at Mania instead of a PPV because it gets guys on the card that deserve to showcase without needing them to be in a feud) or if not then hopefully a unification for the US/Intercontinental Titles in a huge ladder match

Morrison vs Ziggler vs Bryan vs Kingston vs McIntyre vs Swagger

I would leave it at this six but expect either Kane or Mark Henry to be involved as the token big guy,which is usually stupid in my opinion as it doesnt work most of the time.If there are eight participants then Dibiase or Even Bourne will be in it aswell I think to make up numbers.If its MITB then I fully expect Ziggler to win and think he will do awesome with the case.If its title unification then I expect Daniel Bryan or Swagger to win to go with a wrestling angle but im just a fan and dont know too much.

Booker T is gonna be involved somewhere but not sure where,apparently he was signed to be someone's manager but after last night they are considering having him feud with main eventers(wrong choice for me as he should helping new talent come through) so he will slide in somewhere.

Some Divas Poopie where hopefully Kong decimates them all or they at least fulfill my needs and have a huge lesbian gangbang in the ring. I have a girlfriend and I also have access to porn if I want it,I dont want to watch women doing literally nothing in the ring and wasting Mania time.Maybe that is just me but it would be cool if they could actually wrestle aswell as look hot.

Also expect Stone Cold to be on hand as he has been announced as Tough Enough coach.Would be awesome to seem him in a match but expect him to come out and stunner someone for old times sake,dunno who but hopefully some idiot like Michael Cole.

The dark match will be Santino/Koslov vs Usos.Dunno what the fascination with Santino is,he is as annoying as Hornswoggle,I know the guy can really wrestle thanks to Youtube but the gimmick is shat and really cringeworthy.I was hoping Sheamus would end his career when they had that mini-feud but alas he made Sheamus look stupid and ultimately made the WWE seem very poor.

Mania is usually a 10+ match card and I doubt this one will be much different.My predictions maybe way off,I am usually rubbish at this sort of thing but thought I would throw my two penneth in.
