Semi weekend 19/08/12

Anyone watching/listening to the hurling semi final? Sounds awesome. Baby Tipp have already seen off Galway 2-16 to 1-14 in the minors. Can they do the double?

0-07 Kilkenny 0-06 to Tipp so far. Lots of drama by the sounds...I couldn't find a stream.

Sounds like the goalies have made some brilliant saves. I wish I could see this!

Only 2 points between them now after 25 minutes.

1-09 to 0-07 after a goal from TJ for Kilkenny....now they're turning the screws...here comes King Henry...

1-09 to 1-07 after a Tipp comeback goal. GAME ON!!! Sounds like Lar Corbett suffered a nasty collision, but he's all right and staying on.

There's been a lot of off-the-ball shennanigans. TSG highlights could be interesting.

Tipp lead by one point at HT. 1-09 1-10.

Bit of a strange start to the second half. teams come out and Lar Corbett is missing...no one knows what's going on....someone goes to the dressing room and gets Corbett out after some delay....no one has said what was up with him. Hope he's not concussed or something. Anyway, he's on now, and it's 1-11 a piece, but Shefflin's taking a free and he's scored it taking KK ahead by one.

Fogarty makes it 2-14 to 1-13. Kilkenny looking likely to confirm their favourites tag. Tipperary not giving up though. Power's lost his helmet...sounds like a right ding dong of a match this.

2-15 to 1-13 after 49 minutes.

Kilkenny put the nail in the coffin with another goal.

3-16 to 1-13. Tipp badly need some goals.

Tipp need a bloody miracle by the sounds...

Kilkenny get another goal.

4-17 to 1-13.

Kilkenny have been outstanding it seems.

4-18 to 1-13 now.

4-20 to 1-13 and now the Tipp discipline is gone...they're emptying their bench too, but they've had it if they carry on like this.

4-21 to 1-14 in the 70th minute. Looks like it'll be a Kilkenny/Galway final then. At the least the Tipp minors faired better. They'll play Dublin in their final.

4-22 to 1-14. A 10th point for King Henry. This is some drubbing for Tipp.

Point no.11 for Henry...and it's over. 4-24 to 1-15. FT.

Come the final on 09.09.12 it's Kilkenny v Galway. I'll plump for Galway cause I'd love to see them get it.

Was a good game until around 50 odd ,minutes, KK just lifted it, Tipp made some dumb decisions, stupid play, (I had no problem with the Corbett thing, was just annoying Walsh.Tyrell, Walsh should have been gone by that stage in my view) KK dominated midfield and half forwards from the start, Tipp needed ball into the half forwards which they weren't getting, the key to beating KK is running at their half forward line, they have a slow enough defence, not many teams can get the ball to do it, Galway could.

Good game, disappointed in a lot of ways but sure it happens.

Obviously they were keen to make up for being bullied out of it last year, but Padraic Maher committed at least 2 red card offences one of which put Rice in hospital...............i never thought this Tipp team were dirty, but they were filthy today........................The Lar Corbett thing was just embarrassing........Lar is a super instinctive hurler, he doesn't thave the intelligence to be able to do what he was trying to do(not sure what he was trying to do to be fair).......................

I didn't think the first was a red, he pulled on it, didn't seem to deliberately target Rice, reckless and idiotic but not a red. He should have gone for the second, didn't connect properly on it but had to go.

Seriously, you don't think there was something up with Corbett do you? From what I heard on the radio, he'd taken a big hit in the first half. I wondered if that's why he was delayed coming back? Or was he in the jacks?
