The 'Leicester way'
Yes I'm biased being a fan and born-and-bred in the city.
So no. This is not a one-club-fan-glorification-masturbation-exercise. It's an open question.
How do others feel about the values expected by the club on its players?
They can appear to some modern eyes old-fashioned and draconian.
In a recent article http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/prettiest-high-scoring-s-intense-brutal-says/story-16745418-detail/story.html , George Chuter/Leicecester Mercury summed 'the Leicester way' pretty well.
Some clubs (Leinster and Munster spring most immediately to mind) have either by emulation or independently seem to share the ethos.
Some it might be claimed had it but lost it (Bath and Wasps for instance?)
If I was to give my opinion, I'd say it's not a 'Leicester' way at all - it's an amateur way that found itself into a professional era.
So what is it? An aspirational value set? An anachronism? A myth? A delusion?
But one thing that appears to be for sure is that the Tigers for some reason appear to do better when the Manager/Head Coach/DoR and his assistants all understand and buy into the concept (e.g. Pat Howard) than others who impose purely coaching inputs (e.g. Marcelo Loffreda and Heyneke Meyer) don't.

Its important for all the players to back each other. I reckon that by buying into the clubs ethos the players develop a group (team) mentality and thats better than having a group of individuals like many French teams.

Re: The 'Leicester way'
I find it surprising that you mention Leinster.
I can't recall them ever really having players going on to coach the team.
I would say that Leicester Tigers, Llanelli Scarlets, Munster and Stade Toulouse are the biggest examples that I can think of.

The 'Leicester way' would sound very familiar at Sandy Park

You've done that on purpose haven't you Stag?
Agree with you that there's only really a handful of clubs that have the whole players going on to coach thing going on.

Staggy,
However, I did point to three coaches from across the world to demonstrate the point. It's not just the players that have to buy in to the culture - it's everyone. So in that sense it's the unity of purpose and the dog that counts. Along with the self-discipline and the need for personal responsibility and the all the other intangibles that go with it.
Gibbo referred the other day what Cullen and Jennings brought back with them to assist the Leinster breakthrough. That's what I mean by including them.
So it's not really the 'Leicester' way as As rightly points out points out.
