NFL Jerseys Empty NFL Jerseys

Post by Colan (niner) Fri 31 Aug 2012 - 15:41

Anyone know of any U.K based sites that are selling them. I want one of the new Nike jerseys, probably will get the limited one rather than pay crazy money for the elite. I know NFL shop is the obvious one but surely there has to be some better deals around. Although, at least I know I'm getting the real thing with NFL.

I don't know of any sites but I was surprised to see new Nike NFL jerseys for sale in a shop called The Locker Room at Lakeside shopping centre in Essex. They were £70 each and are thus far the only ones I've seen available off the rack.

There were limited ones there though; only Giants (Manning), Bears (Hester), Raiders (McFadden), and Patriots (Brady).

I guess this is more for anyone in close proximity to Essex!

I think sodhat means limited "game" jerseys.

Great American Sports and the new NFLUK shop are selling game jerseys for £65 and £70.

Football Fanatics can get a limited jersey to you in under 10 days for £100. Although I'm waiting a to see what extra game jerseys GAS get in.

I'm seeing a limited Willis jerey on the NFL site which would convert to around £100 including shipping. Don't want the game because it's screen printed but also don't want the elite.

With NFL.com you'll most likely have to pay an extra £20-30 on customs charges. Go with Football Fanatics, they check it as a gift and then you're exempt from the extra charge.

thanks, will most likely be buying that in the next week or two. I wanted a limited Aldon Smith jersey but can't find one. Plus, Willis is going to be around for ages so presents more value. Have you bought jerseys from them before, are they definitely the real deal as I'm hopeless at telling the difference?

I've had 3 orders from them in the last 12 months. Never been done for extra customs charges. Got Ahmad Bradshaw, Eli Manning and Mario Manningham premier jerseys, Tennessee Volunteers hoodie and t-shirts, and a Nashville Predators t-shirt. They're very legit. They're based in Jacksonville, although my Giants jerseys were flown out from JFK. Their customer service is also excellent.

Just ordered a Victor Cruz limited jersey that should get to me in the next 10 working days, right in time for the first NYGiantsUK meet up two weeks tomorrow, for $164.90 xe.com says it's £103.80ish but only £101.27 has left my account.

Any seen the new official NFL Europe Shop? It's terrible only one Browns jersey available and it's McCoy bet they've been flooded with orders for that one. They only have 62 jerseys in total for the whole league.

Did you get charged any "duties or taxes upon delivery" whenever your orders have arrived Mockingjay? Reading online and it says that you could be asked for fees when your order arrives.

No. I've never paid duty tax on any order from Football Fanatics. Only thing I've ever had to pay duty tax for was a The Black Keys hoodie from WB Shop.

Do you know if the jersey sizes are the same as reebok roughly. I have Mediums but even they are quite big so I'm thinking a small would allow for more use as long as the Nike sizes aren't completely different.

Apparently the Nike jerseys are a fair bit smaller than the Reeboks were, not tried myself but my mate was in Boston recently and stopped by the Pats' club shop, said that in most cases people should get their Nikes a size larger than their Reeboks were, but as your Reebok medium was quite big for you, you should probably stay with medium, but definitely don't look at getting a size smaller unless your rebook mediums are literally engulfing you.

Niner haven't seen any Nike jerseys myself but you could always try a youth XL, according to that link chest and waist are 42 1/2 and back is 29, plus they're about $30 cheaper for the game jerseys.

I found a reebok size chart from Dick's Sporting Goods and a nike one from FF and it says the nike jerseys are about 2 inches tighter.

Thanks guys. I have a youth XL Peterson jersey which is a little tight and quite a few mediums that are alright if wearing over jumpers etc but too big to walk around in. I think the small might still be best if it is only 2 inches. I'm 5'10" and the medium still seems really big so I might ask to see one of my friends small jerseys just to see the difference in person.

Post by CFCNick Sat 15 Sep 2012 - 10:22

Just received my Cruz limited jersey. Have to say I'm extremely pleased with it. As expected it's slimmer fitting than the reebok jerseys and the shoulders are a little restricting when putting both arms out forward. Football Fanatics says that the Nike limited and Reebok premiers both have sewn on tackle twill numbers and letters and then the team logo and nike/reebok logo are both screen printed although my limited jersey has the Giants logo and Nike swoosh both sewn on.

Wondering if Football Fanatics have put the wrong info up or if they've sent me an elite jersey by mistake.

EDIT

The Giants logo is at a slight slant but it's only noticeable if you stare at it.

I haven't but they're more expensive as they include customs and duty up front. It may work out the same or cheaper if you get stung for customs by DHL through Football Fanatics but with Fanatics it's 50/50 whether or not you get charged. I got charged £25 for my new jersey, so one out of six orders, got the letter and paid on Wednesday and it arrived today.

Also with Football Fanatics they have a free Rewards Club where you earn 10% on everything you buy and it goes towards your next order.

I just ordered a Willis limited jersey from NFL Shop. I was going to buy from football fanatics until one of my friends said a packers jersey he had got from had different stitching to the one he got from nfl shop. Some reviews are saying the jerseys are fake too. He and others will probably be wrong but it played on my mind so i played it safe

The jerseys are put together with very basic sewing machines. I'd bet my house on two from NFL.com having different looking stitching in various places.

EDIT

Apparently they are legit.

Friend of mine paid £20 for a Lawrence Taylor jersey from China or somewhere like that. It actually isn't that bad. I mean it's not a legit jersey at all (shocker) but at least they actually sent something...

I'm fully on the Nike bandwagon. So much more comfortable than Reebok. The Nike jerseys are actually jersey shape and don't come in small childs tent.

Great American Sports

Got a genuine Sean Taylor Pro Bowl jersey from them a few years ago. Good service and reasonable prices. They were honest when I was asking about authentic jerseys and said what they got was down to their US supplier (more people were asking for cheaper replicas back then). I went for the authentic as the previous replicas I had had started to lose their screen printing after about 20 washes.

NB Used to be based in Brum (originally owned by Frank Leadon who set up the Birmingham Bulls), but now in Devon.
