George North
First topic message reminder :
My original post is still below. Just editing to admit I misunderstood, and am glad I was wrong in believing posters felt North had been out of form for Wales and Scarlets recently.
I blame my age and the number of miles i am driving atm.

Reading posts both on International and Club section indicates that North is not in very good form, with mutterings about him being "undroppable". Whenever asked to name Lions sides he has been one of the first names on my team sheet on the back of 2011/12 form.
So some genuine questions as having not seen the Scarlets play this season and only limited fragments of the Welsh tour of Australia i do not know:
Is his current form poor?
If so why? Is he carrying an injury? Had too much rugby? Suffering 2nd season syndrome? Something else?
Are there players you feel should be playing for Scarlets/Wales ahead of him?
I miss the George North is tougher than Chuck Norris jokes.

Re: George North
The North to center case is slight difference to Ashton to center.
In the Ashton case it would be to bring his rugby vision in to another area where England lack resources! since there are plenty of good finishers around and a plethora of full backs, so utilities like Foden and Brown can be used on the wings.
North might be considered into the center (13, rather than 12) simply because he doesn't track play from the sidelines, and stays out on his wing. So when the pack and inside backs don't get the ball out his way he is under-utilised. Having said that Roberts fills this roll already of a big jugernaught ball crash style player so it's not so worth while.

Re: George North
There is valid reason to consider North in the centre role, though it's not for the reason AWOP states. Many of North's tries have been as a result of him sticking to his wing and simply powering through the opposition, including his second debut try vs SA, his try vs Ireland this year and his three tries for the Scarlets this season.
He has been known to pop up in the centre position and power over too. His size and strength has been pinpointed as the reason some people would like to see him switch permanently. Personally I say don't fix what's not broken, not every big winger needs to dogmatically be considered a future centre and there's no reason why North can't continue to pop up in midfield when it'd be more effective of him to do so.

Re: George North
His offloading ability is the main reason that he is talked about as a possible outside centre. He is fantastic at setting up tries for other backs.

Re: George North
I say leave him out wide, I like the way 1/2p comes into the line outside of north, and allows him to go infield.
I don't get it either, why are we looking to move anyone to 13 when Davies is by far our best back, best attacking option and THE reason the wings are going so well.

Re: George North
No more than I do mate, I still have visions of his performances of last years world cup, his offloads, his energy, work rate and absolute never say die attitude.
But he will be back, he is earmarked to be Meyers long term captain, so patience is the key.
Not sure if you have heard this before.
When Schalk was a young boy, he entered into a cross country race. He was leading the race when his chain snapped and he went down. His father tells the story, he says Schalk simply got up, picked up his bike and started running.
He ended third.

I like em, good idea in my opinion.
Wish the Dragons advertised more around the City, Lydiate or Faletau on the odd bill board wouldn't break the bank. You go to somewhere like Leinster and there are flags and posters everywhere, even in the airport

They scored more over the summer than Wales did, and more against the Barbarians, and that was without the second best English winger in the world playing for them.
