I have an AM/CF partnership worth nearly £100m Shocked

Iniesta (£61.5m) behind Van Persie (£38m), I await injury ruling them both out next week Laugh

Iniesta was the plan I referred to. Signed Carl Jenkinson for £875k to replace Pereira who was released for £13m, released Kagawa and Huntelaar, Iniesta replaces Kagawa, so in theory i'm only down a backup striker!

Well, there's no point signing megastars if you don't have a decent balance in the team.

Benitez and Redknapp linked as interim manager.

Benitez would at least get form out of Torres.

Then he can sure up Chelsea's defence and bolster their attack, by bringing in Ryan Nelson and Peter Crouch. Maybe add Danny Murphy to the midfield.

Alright guys. How's tricks?

I'm feeling well hacked off today. Fed up with my club ****ing over managers. RDM will have known the score but having won the CL and FAC last season he deserved better. At least give him the rest of the season. I fail to see what someone like Benitez can do what RDM could not. Get the best out of Torres is the only thing I can think of. I guess we do need that since Falcao will not leave AM until the summer and we need Torres to regain some of his value before offloading him, which seems inevitable now.

Even Guardiola worries me. What does Abramovich think he is going to do? Play like Barca from day 1 ? It ain't going to happen. Guardiola did very well of course but he took over a top young side. We showed some glimpses last night of how good Oscar, Mata and Hazard could be but it was all too fleeting and not enough support elsewhere.

Two tiny bits of consolation for me. 1. We may well become the first holders to exit the CL in the group phase the following season but you have to actually win the thing in the first place to be able to achieve that ignamony. At least we have done that. 2. We have never won the Europa League / UEFA Cup. Why not add that to the cabinet whilst we have the chance.

Good point with the UEFA cup target if it comes to that

Roman's timing is crazy. Chelsea play City next week and this is bad preperation for it

Oscar is brilliant and becoming so influential every game I see him play.

Roman empire is crumbling because of quick draw Roman

Terrible management for Abramovich.

RdM gave him the one thing he wanted, and the FA Cup to boot.
A month ago Chelsea were sensational, now he's sacked?

Can't see Guardiola changing anything overnight. Benitez? Lol. Hope so, from a spurs point of view.
Actually think Arry could do a job there.

Personally I think Arry would crack under pressure managing a team expecting silverware every season.

Benitez would purely be appointed to help Torres score more goals even though is joint top with Mata (4)

Chelsea are not in crisis whatsoever either

Guardiola is not the answer certainly, he for the most inherited the squad that won him the title with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc.

Look at some of his transfer dealings though at Barca:

Dmytro Chygrynskiy 22m
Keirrison 12.3m
Zlatan Ibrahimovic 61.1m
Aleksandr Hleb 15m
Martin Caceres 14.5m
Seydou Keita 12.3m
Henrique 7m
Adriano 8.4m

Yes he brought Pique back at a snip, and brought in the likes of Sanchez, Fabregas, Mascherano etc but transfer wise he's had more than a fair share of stinkers.

It is a panic move.

Two areas we need to strengthen but weakened in the summer, CM and striker. We sold Meireles and loaned out Essien. We could do with one of them now really. The double pivot is not working well and is exposing the CBs too much. Hence they get drawn out of position.

I do wonder whether Luiz could be used as one of the pivot and leave the defending to Cahill, JT and Ivanovic. Luiz is a very talented player but some of his decision making as a CB is poor to put it mildly. At DCM he may be more effective. He can certainly pass the ball well.

Nope: http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2012/06/30/3211001/guardiola-jordi-alba-is-a-great-signing-for-barcelona

It was certainly heavily hinted at prior to him leaving and I imagine he was involved in early discussions.

My gut feeling is that Mourinho will come back to Chelsea next season as Calderon gave an interbiew and admitted that Jose could be leaving at the end of the season.

Meaning it could pave the way for Pep to join City.

Must be difficult to work in Chelsea as they don't get complete control.
Can't see Pep agreeing to Roman meddling in his affairs

I don't see Jose coming back to Chelsea. More him going to City and Guardiola to Chelsea. £15m per year salary mooted. Nice work if you can get it even if it is only for 12 months.

Enquiry on your page as well Kam.
