Who gets the WWE title shot at HiaC now? And how will they write Cena out?

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
This absolutely sucks, looks like Punk still won't get the rub from the Cena association, poor timing, so he'll be out of the next PPV and possibly another? That actually is good news, both for other guys and for Cena himself but the timing does nothing for Punk, hopefully Orton is catapulted into that role

Where has this come from? Out of nowhere! Gives him chance for his ankle to recover too. Looked really bad after NoC. Punk - Cena in HiaC would have been great. Now what?!

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
You'd think if he'd had surgery today then they'd have known about it, surely an angle could have been worked last night or on the SD taping today to give Punk the rub, I'd have had Cena 'pass out' in the Anaconda Vice and use that as a reason for Cena to be out
He can take 6 weeks off now and come back with the whole boyhood dream sctick and set his sights in the Rumble

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
Orton now surely. Or, dare I say the worst choice ever, Del Rio
It has to be Orton though or even maybe Ziggler, helping him turn face. He's generating more and more support from the crowd and the IWC love him (I know I do) and it could be a great opportunity for him. Having the MIB doesn't help him a great deal. Personally, I'd go with Orton. Had a great match week before last and didn't Orton win? or Punk walk out or something I can't remember. Could use that as Orton maybe earning a title shot, he has won allot since returning.

If the WWE are stuck they might throw Rey Mysterio in the mix, both work excellently together and Rey is a draw, might not be the worst idea for a filler feud that for me can only help Punk build heat

WWE.Com Saying 2-3 weeks
WWE.com has learned John Cena had surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow today. Dr. Andrews removed several pieces of bone cartilage from Cena's elbow through a scope. Cena will go home today and immediately begin his rehab in Tampa, Fla.
Cena is expected to recover in two to three weeks. An update on his recovery time is expected Thursday when he is reevaluated.
As more information comes available, WWE.com will inform the WWE Universe.

They will try and work on hell in the cell IMO but if worse comes to worse they could just make a last minute swerve and call up someone at last minute.

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
Does this mean Cena's gonna come back in 3 weeks wearing a t-shirt with 'Rise Above Surgery' on it?
And why is it that every time Cena gets injured he always comes back way sooner than the original prognosis?

It does make me wonder how he'd cope with AIDDS (the extra 'D' is for death).

From wwe.com -
"John Cena has today been diagnosed with AIDDS. Initial reports suggest that he will die".
Update from wwe.com -
"Following on from earlier reports, doctors are now confident that John Cena will be able to return from AIDDS in 2 weeks".

He died in the STF position, and as rigamortis set in the hold became unbreakable.

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
Some #jackwagon from @wwe dotcom apparently posted me recovering in 14 days. I spoke in depth with my surgeon Dr James Andrews...And he specifically told me due to the amount of fragmentation, SIX WEEKS is a safer time table for recovery. I apologize on behalf of a Website whos credibility is now equal to #theonion please @wwe web guys, get your monkey frankin facts straight! You folks have my word i will try my best to get healthy as quick as i can, and im sure i wont stay away from #raw but as of now...I am supposed to lay low for SIX WEEKS. I will send surgery photos and video to @wwe so they can see how bad it really was..I am also sure that if @wwe took a second to reach out to the actual surgeon, that Dr Andrews would gladly comment. #internalmalpractice

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
I reckon that they were going to have Cena fight to recover in time and make it, so they need it to say 6 weeks so that Cena can make a remarkable recovery.

Love the fact that Cena's saying he won't stay away from RAW.
You'd have to fire Jumpin' John to get him off RAW. Oh wait.....

Even when RAW gets cancelled Jumpin John will still turn up at arenas weekly.

What are the odds they now keep King off commentry for another 6 weeks and have Cena replace him. Just to keep up TV appearances.

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
Well, last time he injured his arm it was supposed to be a 6-8 month deal and he was back in 3 for the Rumble. Could go either way.

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
Maybe it's a clever WWE tactic
Flood the market with loads of different leaks so no-one knows the truth... He'll be back in the ring in a couple of weeks. No one stops Cena.

Re: Cena undergoes arm surgery
I think that the idea was for the website to say that he'll back in 6 weeks so he can return earlier amazingly to fight Punk. Then they put up 4, so Cena had to make out like they had made a big mistake.
