Benn.
I think by you saying, "Lacy Pre Calazaghe", tells us you think that Lacy was ruined by Calazaghe rather than Lacy was found out by Calazaghe?

A pre Calzaghe Lacey would have beaten Hagler surely.

All men pre Calzaghe were indestructable. For proof, look no further than Manfredo junior

I'd like the fantasy match up of calzaghe v Toney.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Super Middleweight
If Lacey beat Hagler it would be only on size. Its not like he could knock Marv out and I don't think he has the class to outbox or out last him.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Super Middleweight
I can think of more juicier fantasy fights than this..
I'd stick Benn in with Hearns or something...or Benn v Hagler would have been something..
Give Benn credit.. for a quitter.. he never stunk..
As for Lacey...I think he weathers an early storm a la Eubank and takes advantage of Benn's tank problems later in the fight...
Lacey ko 11...................

Pre calzaghe lacy had a fair wallop and sound everything else.
post calzaghe he even lost that. I dont think it makes too much differfence, he was shellshocked at the rate calzaghe came at him and there are few fighters as intense as benn. Benn by Tko around round 5

'I can think of more juicier fights than this'
I would agree with that Truss. The term 'fantasy' in this instance, doesn't in any way imply 'ultimate.' Just merely 'hypothetical.'

Re: Fantasy Fight- Super Middleweight
Well I would offer Lacey vs Toney but I think 'Lights Out' would have done a similar job on Jeff. Also think Benn would have outpointed Lacey by using a bit of the back foot boxing he used against Wharton.
Jones vs Ward (Jones UD), Toney vs Ward (Ward SD) and Hearns vs Froch

Jones v Ward would be a superb fight to watch I would still take jones to win via UD but nevertheless still a fight worth paying for.
