Super Rugby to stick with only one prop on the bench next season
SANZAR has opted not to adopt the 8 man bench currently used in the Northern Hemisphere, which is to come into all international rugby soon.
Broadly, they've decided that as golden oldies scrums are rare in Super Rugby (even when Australian teams are playing ) and extra props are expensive to add to squads they're sticking with the tried and true http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/7734315/Sanzar-rules-out-extra-prop-in-Super-Rugby

Seems stupid Pete. One of the biggest things about this new version of SuperRugby has been the high rate of injuries. Surely another prop to swap out would help lower that injury count.

Could be Yappy, but I think the real problem with the injuries is the schedule, from the first round of Super rugby the players effectively have no rest up to the end of November. I am talking specifically about the international players, there is only a bye week here and there for travelling.
