Punk's new DVD
Just wondering if anyone else has seen the documentary part of this? I haven't seen the matches that are on there, but I can say without question, the documentary is one of the best I've ever seen.
Punk comes across as a very honest guy, and I was really surprised at what they allowed him to say. His days in ROH and IWA-MS are covered too, which I also thought was a bit odd. The WWE do seem to be acknowldging the presence of other promotions recently though.
Anyways, if anybody's undecided about buying it when it comes out, I strongly recommend it. Like I say, I've only got hold of the documentary part, but I'd buy it just for that. The matches (and I'm guessing promos) are just a massive bonus.

Re: Punk's new DVD
Got this on Friday and the documentary portion of the DVD is probably the best one I've ever seen by WWE. Punk is a very engaging interviewee and the list of talking heads makes for a refreshing change (bar the usual suspects of course, at least there's no Steve Lombardi!!)
I find it kind of ironic that Michael Hayes and Triple H are involved with this, seeing as they are 2 of the guys who decreed that Punk "didn't know how to work" and had him shipped off to OVW. In hindsight it worked out for the best as he got to work with Paul Heyman, who eventually called him up to ECW.
Also found it odd that when discussing the 'pipebomb' promo, Triple H says he knew then it was the moment Punk had arrived, similar to the 'Austin 3:16' promo that signified Stone Cold's arrival (it didn't) because I read an interview with Triple H where he basically said that the promo wasn't anything special.
I love how in depth they go into Punk's rise through the indies, and I was genuinely amazed by how much they put Samoa Joe over. Punk stated that he was heavily involved in the making of this DVD, making sure it turned out exactly how he wanted and you can see his fingerprints all over the end product.
Highly recommended
