Friday quiz question
Please don't look this up before answering folks (if you do, you will instantly realise why the question has a twist to it)
Roscoe Tanner and Vitas Gerulaitis both won Slams in 1977
Can you say which Slam was won by which player ....?

Re: Friday quiz question
Two AOs that year. John Lloyd lost to Gerulaitis in one of the finals.

Is that allowedcarrieg4 wrote:Two AOs that year. John Lloyd lost to Gerulaitis in one of the finals.
IMO they should have two French Open's every year from now on, if it's allowed.

Re: Friday quiz question
Well done carrieg
There was a schedule change, resulting in one AO being held January and another in December.
Cracked in 28 mins. I'll have to try harder next time
JHM re '86 - Would that be nobody ....??

Re: Friday quiz question
January: French Open
May: French Open
July: French Open
September: French Open
Looks like a fantastic schedule to me.
*If Nadal returns from injury that is. If not, we may as well have all tournaments on low quality Astro Turf. Would be fun to watch Federer try and return a serve which bounce twice before it crosses the service line.

Re: Friday quiz question
Why not 1 French Open a month, and then every 2 months they visit Monte Carlo?

We should both take over the ATP, they are all useless anyway.

Re: Friday quiz question
Nice idea but I think I can safely say you're pretty much on your own with that one IMBL.
There's a particular player who might find it appealing, although I doubt the tv broadcasters would be inundated with requests for transmission rights when FO editions 2, 3 & 4 come around all in the same year .......

Re: Friday quiz question
The answer was a Rain Delay, which in itself isn't uncommon, except the tournament was played indoors.
