10001st post on wrestling on 606v2
As this is a special landmark I thought I would ask a question which may cause a debate. Who was/is your favourite wwf/wwe wrestler of all time?

Can I also point out that when you changed it to 10,001 you should have changed it to st rather than th.
10,001st! I wasn't going to say anything, but seeing it so many times on one page with the headings of the replies forced me to say it.
In no particular order Kurt Angle, Razor Ramon, Bret Hart and The Rock.

Razor Ramon will always be my favourite!
But 2nd to that has to be as Mike Tyson put it - Cold Stone Steve Austin

its hard to imagine how anyone can choose Cena and Austin, I can understand liking one or the other but anyone who liked Austin for me just couldn't like CenaHolymiky wrote:Cena, Rock or Austin for me.

Jeez, Gaffer. Could you imagine the emotional torture you would put Miky through if you made him choose. It's like Sophies Choice.

Course you don't have to just like one type, I just can't imagine anyone who was genuinely entertained with Austin being genuinely entertained with Cena, if it waas Hogan and Cena I'd get it or Bad News Brown and Austin, obviously there is people out there, I just can't fathom it thats all

Yeah i like Stone Cold Steve Austin and CM punk, the complete opposite characters so to speak. Does not mean i can't like either of them, i just think your comment was a little bit drastic and seemed like you were assuming that people wouldn't like Cena cos they like Austin.

I don't think Punk and Austin are different, they are in terms of character but both of them make you buy into what they are selling and they way they deliver it while Cena is absolutely hopeless at those aspects, Austin is a badass and Cena is just plain cheesy thats why I couldn't see why someone could like someone who did his job so well in Austin in terms of Ring Psychology while liking Cena who is useless at that part, no biggie

Remember Miky is a young'un. He might not have watched as much of Austin as some of us.
Re: 10001st post on wrestling on 606v2
I can see what your saying DT but i have seen ALOT of Austin from Youtube etc and although i may not of watched weekly i still managed to buy into his character.

Yeah that probably has more to do with it, I'd have the same opinion if someone said their favourites where Andre the Giant and Khali
Andre had so much more ring pressence and Psychology, both of them are sold as Giants but only one told a story, same with Cena/Austin, it wasn't an anti Cena rant

Watching things on YouTube isn't quite the same though Miky. You get the matches, you get the odd promo...but the times we are living in are different...the beliefs of society are different....so the reaction to them is different. You can still buy in to his character...but you can't relate to it as much as if you were growing up at the time the character was huge.
Not trying to say anything negative....just that it is more difficult to pick up on the feeling that was surrounding the industry at the time.
Re: 10001st post on wrestling on 606v2
Totally agree David, nothing beats seeing it as it happens when it happens, like you say, its not just what you see on TV, you have to take the time it happened into thinking, take in the society, how things where percieved, totally agree, I've always said that
