2012-13 Southern, Nothern, Isthmian leagues season thread
So, we're now two months into the season where can you're club be found in the table and how often have you been to see them?
Bedford sit in the heady heights of 6th in the Southern Premier Division, two points off a playoff place after a promising start to the season. Although I have a real genuine fear and am very much afraid that if they climb any higher the players may start suffering from nose bleeds.
I've been to five home games vs Leamington (draw), Redditch (win), Bideford (win), Kettering (draw) and Stourbridge (win). Peacock has been on great form scoring 8 goals in 12 games, plus Beasant and Ivy have scored 6 and 5 goals in the same time. Things seem to be looking on the up at The New Eyrie after last seasons late surge from 19th to finish 10th.

In the Ryman premier division
You have Hampton & Richmond leading the way following there relegation from the blue square south last season. On paper they probably have the best side in the league IMO. Including a very good player in Gary Holloway.
Kingstonian, Whitehawk, Wealdstone and Margate make up the play off spots atm.
Struggling at the bottom. In the bottom 4 you have Thurrock, Hendon, Leiston and Carshalton. Thurrock is a suprise considering they have a very good manager in Mark Stimson who enjoyed great success at Stevenage also proved himself with Gillingham in the football league. Hendon have been on a fantastic fa cup run and find themself 1 win away from getting to the first round.

I have fond memories of the Ryman Premier. Bedford were in that division up until 2004 when all the restructuring happened.
Non-League Restructuring
2003-04 Southern Premier
2003-04 Ryman Premier
2003-04 Northern Premier
Bedford made it to one of the two Ryman league playoff finals against St Albans City at home and lost 5-4 in extra time. Then we got moved from the Ryman to the Southern league.

Whitby are currently sitting in the bottom four of the evostik premier division but have reason to be positive. Not one game so far have they been badly beaten. There have been no games against the bottom half of the table teams. The football has been entertaining and they have picked up a couple of wins in the last couple of months. Two decent cup runs have also brought in some much needed cash. So all in all a little bit of a misleading table position.

Quick update. Whitby are out of the relegation positions now and have picked up some good results in recent weeks. It's still proper football as well. Along the floor, neat passing no hit and hope. Another win in the fa trophy as well. So some much needed cash coming into the club. Tough game in the next round though as guisley are in the league above. Lots of positives though

Update in the Ryman league
My local side Lewes lie in 15th place and i don't see any signs of going up, however no signs of going down mid table season for us. Out of the FA Cup, FA Trophy and Ryman league cup. There's always the Sussex Senior cup where the final is held at the fantastic AMEX Stadium.
Whitehawk are leading the way. Which is as you would expect given the size of there budget, despite having the best budget they are bottom of the average attendances list!
Making up the play offs you have Hampton & Richmond, Margate, Wealdstone and Bury Town. In the bottom 4 you have Thurrock, Hendon, Leiston and big spenders who have recently changed manager Carshalton.

Well I wasn't expecting the cup game being quite so difficult. Seven nil defeat! Back to the drawing board. The really humiliating thing for the manager was the headline on the back page of the local paper the day before hand was a quote from him saying all the pressure was on guisley! Oh well as big a blip as it was hopefully that's all it was. Now back to the serious stuff of climbing the league. It's best forgetting that game and not let all the recent good work be undone

Things are looking up at Whitby of late. A 5-2 away win at Marine (who were 3rd in the table at the time) at the weekend moves Whitby up to 16th and closer to the playoffs points wise than relegation. Heady times indeed.

Update on Ryman league
Huge spenders Whitehawk remain top of the table, and look well on there way to back to back promotions. Latest signings include much traveled striker Jeff Louis from Newport. Wealdstone, Margate, Canvey Island and Concord Rangers make up the play off spots.
Making up the bottom 4. Carshalton, FA Cup heroics Hastings who have plenty of games in hand due to that amazing run. Thurrock and the side with the worst budget in the league Harrow.
My side Lewes are 13th, so mid table looks to be the certain outcome come May.

Update on the Ryman League
Whitehawk continuing to lead the way with there masses amount of money. They are well on there way to back to back promotions. Wealdstone, Concord Rangers, Lowestoft and Canvey Island make up the play off spots. Only 2 Ryman sides get relegated this year and the league is being extended to 24 teams. Carshalton and FA Cup heros Hastings make up those 2 slots. Saw Carshalton a few weeks ago and they looked terrible.
My club Lewes are in 19th spot and in the relegation dog fight. Big game tomorrow away at Cray, depending on the weather!

Ryman Premier round up!
My side Lewes stayed up on goal diffrence and ended 20th and have today sacked manager former Tottenham and Crawley player Simon Wormull. Nice bloke and a decent player but his managerial skills haven't been impressive.
Whitehawk won the league and have won back to back promotions from Ryman South to Conference South. Huge amount of money behind them and they have now targeted a football league plan. They have also changed there name to Brighton City FC.
Making up the play offs are Lowestoft, Wealdstone, Concord Rangers and East Thurrock. I would like to see Lowestoft go up because of there superb fan base.
Relegated from the league is Carshalton who amazingly have one of the best budgets in the league! They will go down with Hastings who had a superb fa cup run which lead to them playing Middlesbrough. Sadly that seemed to wreck there league form and they have been relegated.

Thurrock have today been relegated from the Ryman Prem instead of Carshalton. They got a 3 points deduction, Due to fielding an illegible player back in August, funny enough against my team Lewes!

Re: 2012-13 Southern, Nothern, Isthmian leagues season thread
I saw Hornchurch play Lewes last month Tooze, and apart from run away leaders Wealdstone, Hornchurch were the strongest team i have seen in this level all season, and most Lewes fans agreed with me. They have 2 strikers who have scored 30 goals this season in Seffan Payne and George Purcill. So it will be a tough game for Lowestoft. I hope Lowestoft do go up, always feel for them having to travel long distance's all the time and there fans always seem a great bunch.

Re: 2012-13 Southern, Nothern, Isthmian leagues season thread
Shall be an interesting game that. They shall be going in the same league as Chesham/St Albans according to what the predicted leagues are. If they need a forward buy the guy from Cambridge City got 40 on his own. Chesham's from 3 got 81 between them. Fairly worried that we sold out winger to St Albans a couple of months ago and despite being injury prone usually scored 15+ a season.

In the end Chesham 1-3 St Albans Game turned in injury time in 1st half with a very debatable fk which put them 1-2 ahead into half time and we never really recovered from that. Had 2960 at the ground and had to close the gates on police advice.
