Dolph Ziggler is the most exciting prospect in pro wrestling. I really enjoy watching him at the moment, probably only 2nd most to CM Punk.

Has to be Dolph Ziggler, even though I think he's cooled off in the last few months and needs to define himself as something more than just good at selling.

Easy one for me, Dolph Ziggler.
I think Dolph is ready for main eventing now. I say he cashes his briefcase and messes it up not winning the title. This leads to him breaking away from Vickie. Then get him involved with Punk for a face turn and Bob's your Uncle.

Forgot to mention for those of you that didn't see last year’s WWC the top two from each group in round 1 will progress into round 2.
This is an interesting one as I’m sure a lot of WWE only fans won’t be aware of the 3rd to 6th seeds work over the last 12 months, so I fully expect Dolph to walk this one and maybe rightly so after a lengthy US champ run and a MITB win. The battle for second is likely to be more interesting in this group

Easy win for Mr Ziggles. One of my favourite wrestlers and even made his show off gimmick work. Tight for 2nd as I don't really think any of the rest have done much of note in the last 12 months, albeit not necessarily their own fault.

I've always been a fan of Anderson, and while he hasn't done much recently I still think he is the top of this group. I like Ziggler a lot but like Crimey says, I think he has cooled off since winning MITB.

Do you not think Dolph is slightly overated? sure he's got the look, ability and can sell like his life depends on it but i do think he's lacking that x factor, what the French may call a certain je ne sais quoi!

I think he's overrated these days, like so many others, he went from being underrated to overrated quite quickly when people started noticing him. He still hasn't really had the chance on his own, and I'm not sure he'll be charismatic enough on the mic to stay in the main event. I don't think he'll ever be a big star, he's the new Chris Jericho and I think he'll only ever hit the heights that Jericho hit.

No I don't MtotheC. I think he looks like a star, he sounds like a star, and he's got star quality. Contrary to popular belief, I think he and Vickie are the perfect match, and I can see him as a credible champion on Smackdown. He's flamboyant, he's got a bit of character about him, he's energetic, and I think he could make any angle work - as someone mentioned above, he made the "Show Off" work, which was derided as crap when he started using it. AND he makes other people look awesome. Dolph Ziggler is a unique package in WWE, an unselfish talent, and should be applauded for not just breaking the mould, but hopefully creating a whole new mould in which future WWE stars should be cast.

A credible champion on Smackdown he could be but the future of the company i doubt, i just don't see him hitting those heights, like in all walks of life he will need a lot of luck to hit the big time, prehaps injuries to ther top stars or walk outs, let say cena leaves for hollywood and punks career is cut short due to injury a bit like rock and Austin in the past then mabye he could fill the void. In his current guise i personally dont think he can draw which ultimately will be the measuring stick of his success once he cashes in the briefcase.

I didn't say he was the future of the company. I said he was better than his 4 opponents here today, and that he would make a great World Heavyweight Champion, who I look forward to seeing every week.
He will be held back by his ability to sell. He is the new Jericho. He'll have his title runs and they will be entertaining, but they will always be there to put over the next champ and make them look good.

Agreed, i have no doubt that like Jericho he will get a push and will hold the strap but i dont ever see him being the 'man'

This round has to go to the showoff, great techinically and he is so good at selling that he could probably sell TNA tickets to Vince Mcmahon. Just needs to have a bit more of an edge with his mic skills

Re: V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 1
I think its far too early to say he won't make it. But I guess you could also say its the same for saying he will make it.
Basically we won't know until he goes it alone and has a decent run with the title.
But out of all the wrestlers sitting just under main event level status in WWE I think he is the one with most of the tools to make it to the top.

Has to be DZ. Again as mentioned above his workrate and ability reminds me much of an early Y2J, even putting on 2 matches at numerous PPVs at the start of the year.

Looking at this list here, Ziggler has to take it. I'm backing Seth to do well when next seasons WWC comes around

These should really be multiple votes if it's top 2 going through tbh

This was something that was brought up last year but do you think that this would dilute the value of a vote if you can pick more than one? on multi vote system how many times can you vote?

One vote per poster, having two picks definitely devalues it
I've went for Seth Rollins, I like many believe Ziggler is the clear winner here and I'm voting tactically, Rollins is tremdous, reminds me of a younger version on CM Punk

I think maybe in the early rounds 2 votes might bethe way to go, like you say Ziggler is pretty much going to walk this, but it would be interesting were peoples second vote would lie and then go to one vote in the next round
But not trying to find fault in what your doing, appreciate you putting the effort in again to bring it back

That's why I feel one vote is more than enough, there is usually an outstanding favourite so then it leaves it up to you to go with the favourite or use your vote for your favourite underdog, giving us two votes would make it more likely to see to run away winners than just the one

Thanks mate to be honest i really enjoying doing it, so the work is not an issue and i think its one of the best ways to get discussion going and talk about wrestlers that wouldn't normally draw many forum inches.
I still don't know about the multi votes option i just think that the whole point is to pick the best guy in your opinion out of the options provided so two votes imo would devalue it.

It would be good if the board had a system in which you could rank them, so 1st gets 1 point or 2 points, and 2nd gets half a point or 1 point, but as it is, your second vote would get the same as your first and as such would devalue it.

Re: V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 1
I voted Rollins.
Still not sold on Ziggler. He's a great performer and could sell sand to the arabs but theres still something missing for me. The WHC scene should be involving Sheamus, Orton and Barrett in the near future. All of whom id take as champion over Ziggler.
I said it a while back and i still believe that Ziggler would be a super over face.

Ziggler is infinitely better than Barrett, although I agree both should be involved in the WHC scene, as should Daniel Bryan

I agree that Ziggler is 'better' than Barrett but i'd take Barrett as champion over Ziggler as he'd be more believable and suited to it given his current dominance.

Re: V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 1
I was going to use my vote tactically...but then I thought 'Heck I can't not vote for Ziggler.
I have been so high on this guy that it would be wrong not to back it up with the vote. I actually think he is much better on the mic than people give him credit for...the problem is that Vickie is there and it kind of limits his opportunities to get over on the mic. Also when he has had time in the spotlight on the mic he is more often than not interrupted by someone...such as CM Punk etc who he then basically makes way for in the ring.
I can see why people think he is the new Jericho...and more than likely that will be the case. But I really hope now..I hope the WWE push him through the ceiling and get right behind him because I think he can be a genuine star in the industry.
