New York Giants 2011 Schedule
I'm not sure how true this is but I googled 2011 nfl schedule and this was the top result from NJ.com.
________________________
The NFL will release the 2011 schedule at 7 p.m. today, but below is a sneak peek at how the Giants' schedule will line up, minus some details I've yet to fill in.
The season will begin with a fitting game in Landover, Md., against the Redskins. It's fitting because it will be played to commemorate 10 years since the 9/11 attacks and, unlike the Giants-Jets game everyone imagined, it will pay tribute to those who lost their lives at the Pentagon that day. The game will kick off at 4:15 p.m.
Now, a look at the schedule, including a Merry matchup between the Giants and Jets on Christmas Eve:
Sept. 11 at Redskins, 4:15 p.m.
Good move by NFL to do what others often don't: remember D.C.'s role in 9/11.
Sept. 19 RAMS (MNF)
Steve Spagnuolo returns.
Sept. 25 at Eagles
Kick it out of bounds!
Oct. 2 at Cardinals
We're taking any and all guesses who will start at QB for Arizona in this game.
Oct. 9 SEAHAWKS
Seattle can only hope this one turns out better than last year's game.
Oct. 16 BILLS
The Giants wanted C.J. Spiller. Now they'll have to stop him.
Oct. 23 BYE
Tom Coughlin surely likes where this was placed in the schedule.
Oct. 30 DOLPHINS
Last time they played in London. No such luck this time around.
Nov. 6 at Patriots, 4:15 p.m.
First matchup in a meaningful game since Super Bowl XLII.
Nov. 13 at 49ers, 4:15 p.m.
Giants have owned the 49ers in recent years. But now it's Jim Harbaugh's team.
Nov. 20 EAGLES
No, seriously, kick it out of bounds!
Nov. 27 at Saints
The last trip to the Big Easy was ugly for Giants.
Dec. 4 PACKERS
Giants get a shot at revenge against the Super Bowl champs.
Dec. 11 at Cowboys
The first of two matchups in four weeks against their rivals.
Dec. 18 REDSKINS
Washington hasn't beaten the Giants since 2007.
Dec. 24 at Jets (Saturday)
Hold your Santa/Rex Ryan jokes please.

Not sure about the date on this one. Trying to find out.

I think if this is the real schedule and we have our annual winter collapse with the Cowboys twice, Jets, Packers and Saints in our last 6 we'd have to go 10-0 to be certain of making the post season.

It's confirmed http://www.giants.com/schedules/2011GiantsSchedule.asp
The Rams and Saints games are MNF and the Eagles home and Cowboys away are SNF.

Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
Nice post, M2M.
I can see us grabbing 4-5 wins prior to the bye week. But the schedule gets really tough after that. We have to capitalize playing the NFC West division. I don't see any reason why we can't sweep that division. I can also see us going .500 in the East so I'm thinking 10 wins is the best we can do this year.
Predicted wins against: Bills, Dolphins, Redskins (1), Eagles (1), Cowboys (1), Hawks, Niners, Rams, Cardinals, Saints (upset pick).

Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
i think ul have to beat the redskins twice to stand a chance of making it, i cant see you sweeping the west i expect the 49ers will be a tough place to travel to and the rams at home could also be a tight game

Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
The 49ers away will be very hard, as we also have a trip to New England the week before. I wouldn't fancy going 3000 miles to face SF the week after going to Foxboro.
Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
Since I live in the NYC area, nj.com is one of the best sites when it comes to the NY Giants. The writers there are really close with the organization and I'll even say its better than the NY Post and the NY Daily News.
Manning-to-Manningham, if you want a really good NY Giants fan news site. Check out bigblueview.com. The guy Ed, who writes it, pretty much made it his full time job.

Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
Anyway, I think this is probably one of the most brutal schedules I've ever seen for my G-men. There's 9 weeks of games against playoff caliber teams.

Re: New York Giants 2011 Schedule
November 6th to December 18th looks like the hardest part of the schedule, so many top teams and large distances in a row. Starting with a tough fixture against the pats, then travelling all the way to the west coast and all the way back east again to play the Eagles. Packers will be tough too with, and two rivalries in a row afterwards. Christmas Eve game should be an intersting one.
I can't quite say what our record could be at this stage, it does seem we've drawn one of the short straws this year with this schedule.

I think I'm more worried about the health of this team by Christmas. Coughlin might have to have open tryouts to find players to play.
