Okay I'll say it. This one actually looks like it could be good. Iron Man was rubbish, I have yet to see the sequel. This one comes across as a bit more serious. I don't like Downey's characters (Ironman, Sherlock), he can be a bit annoying. Seems to have left all that and put on a more heroic role here (if this trailer is anything to go by). I still prefer the Avengers and Thor though.

I agree the trailer looks decent.

With a new director on board it may just capture the essence of the character and move away from some gimmicky scenes in Iron Man 2.

Yeah Ironman should have really got with the times just like Batman did. Bale's character was how a hero/superhero should be.
