6WF Ascension Results 23rd October 2012

*The show goes live on air from a jam-packed arena in Birmingham. The crowd are piling into their seats and “Time to shine” by Saliva is pouring out of the soundsystem. The cameras pan around the stadium and showcase the Ascension setup and then around to the announce booth where Jeff Thadeus is sat alongside his broadcast colleague, Paul Salisbury.

JT:Ladies and gentlemen good evening, and welcome to another edition of Tuesday night Ascension. We are coming to you live from the home of 6WF, Birmingham, exclusively on Sky Atlantic….Channel 108 on all platforms. Last week we debuted with a blast, a fantastic opening night and this week things are only set to get better. Isn’t that right Paul?

PS:It’s right, in fact you couldn’t be any more right….lights are on bright, the stage is set and these people are ready to see some non-stop action. We here at Ascension believe that professional wrestling is an art form, something that needs to be showcased on a pedestal and that is exactly what we are providing. Each and every week we are taking the best talent in the business and we are seeing them pushed to their limits in the most competitive brand of sports entertainment.

JT:There is no brand as competitive as this one…..the League of Ascension got underway last week and we are happily moving onto week two here this evening……remember the basic premise, the superstars on this roster are competing for top spot……the top two in the League will compete for the AWF Championship……

PS:We don’t yet know exactly how this whole thing is going to work….but I imagine over the course of this evening we are going to get some answers….as well as some fallout from what we witnessed last Tuesday…

JT:It certainly was an explosive debut show, and we are expecting more of the same here this evening….

PS:I would say anything is possible with Miss Jessica in charge…

JT:True that, and what was that rendezvous with Jerome Dubois all about at the end of last week’s broadcast?

PS:Beats me…..heck maybe we are about to find out….

*All eyes suddenly turn to the stage as “Gangnam Style” echoes out and is received by a bemused reaction from the crowd in attendance. Two smartly dressed Japanese men walk out onto the stage and begin to dance. Silver and red pyros then explode into the air and Miss Jessica enters, wearing a very short white dress.She whirls around on her heel and laughs at the men dancing before heading for the ring.

JT:I have never seen anything like this in my life…

PS:Get used to it….this is a Youtube sensation…

*The cameras pan around the arena to show large sections of the crowd performing the dance and there is definitely a lot of amusement in the air but still very audible boos aimed at the General Manager.

JT:This is just plain bizzare….

PS: It’s Gangnam Jeff….

JT:I have no idea what that means….please sit down…

*The camera shot shows Paul Salisbury going Gangnam at the announce table before slowly sitting back down in his seat.Miss Jessica is helped into the ring by her Japanese aids and then accepts a microphone from Mike Bird.

Jessica:Good evening Birmingham!

*Crowd boo furiously

Jessica:Like I am so totally not bothered about how you react. We just made history, hello…..ratings winner right here!....Twitterverse is screaming my name, just like all you wish you were….

*She mockingly blows kisses at the fans

Jessica:I mean here I am, all Marilyned up to the nines and you losers would rather boo me than gawp at the amazing spectacle in front of you…

*She spins again and her dress rides high, giving a very provocative glimpse of her underwear.There are wolf whistles from the crowd

Jessica:Please…like any of you fat slobs would ever have a chance..

*The crowd boo again as the two Japanese men flank Miss Jessica

Jessica:This is Kung Ali…..and Hiroshi Kanyama………I guess you could call them my “hired guns” but I much prefer to call them my “happy little campers…..

*The two men are no longer in a jubilant dance mood. Their faces are stern and focused

Jessica:I am about to totally have a b1tch fit unless that camerman focuses on the main attraction, right here bozo…

*She indicates with her finger for the camera to draw closer

Jessica: There, isn’t that much better. Look believe me I wouldn’t be out here breathing in the pleb germs if I didn’t have to, but as General Manager, I need to make an announcement.

I totally like stole the spotlight last week with the concept of Ascension….I mean hello Phillip and Holly on This Morning, they couldn’t get enough of me…..and that was before the cameras were rolling…

*Jessica bites her finger seductively

Jessica:But it seems like some morons couldn’t quite grasp what I had created. So allow me to like totally simplify this so you idiots understand.

Ascension is designed to bring out the best of everyone on the roster. Only one man out of ten can hold the championship, and only two out of those ten will actually get the chance to compete for that honour. So every month the whole roster will attempt to amass enough points to get to the top of the tree.

At the end of the month…..the top two will fight it out for the number one contendership….whoever wins will like be facing the champion or whatever at designated pay per views…

After each month, the scores are cleared out and returned to zero to start all over again….

*Miss Jessica shakes her head impatiently

Jessica:This month though….and this month only is different….because the little suit people upstairs couldn’t get the ball rolling on this until last week, we are so behind me perfectly planned schedule….talk about rude and inconsiderate…

So we have tonight…..and tonight only to get our challengers in place for the War Championship match…..so not only have I totes brainwaved out again and decided that tonight is “Double or Quits” night……but I have taken the executive decision to say that instead of two…..there will be four qualifiers for that match this coming Sunday….

JT:That is a big announcement….

PS:The top four in the League of Ascension are going to War to fight for the AWF Championship…..huge revelation…

Jessica:I know…I know, I am like so totally clever and stuff….I know all my little munchkins are listening in the back and they now know that it is all on tonight….so like get on the edge of your seats because this is going to be intense…..almost as intense as that time I travelled from LA to England with my love eggs in and we got delayed, I have like never felt that kind of stimulation….

JT:Is she for real?

PS:I think I am in love…

Jessica:Lets just get all our information up on the screen to remind everybody….

League of Ascension
• 5 points for pinfall victory
• 10 points for submission victory
• 3 points for a victory by countout/disqualification
• 2 points for a victory in which you were not involved in the decision (applies to tag team matches)
• 0 points awarded for a time limit draw
• -5 points for defeat by pinfall
• -10 points for defeat by submission
• -3 points for a defeat by countout/disqualification
• -2 points for a defeat in which you were not involved in the decision (applies to tag team and multi-competitor matches)
• Every match in the “League of Ascension” will have a fifteen minute time limit unless the General Manager negotiates otherwise.
• Every four weeks the top two superstars (outside of the champion) shall compete for the number one contendership. In case of a tie, multi-competitor matches may be introduced.
• If the AWF Champion is ranked lower than #5 after four weeks, they will be stripped of the championship and the belt will be awarded to the winner of the #1 vs #2 contest
• Points may be awarded or deducted at the General Manager’s discretion


Jessica: Like I said….tonight “Double or Quits”…..so every point awarded or deducted is totally timesed two….that means double incase you were wondering…

JT:We weren’t….

*She smiles slyly and the boos ring all around

Jessica:Don’t worry you can all thank me later…..because this is just the beginning people….I promise you Ascension has many surprises in store….

And for all of you like completely stalking me on Twitter and the such…..Jerome Dubby is not my new boyfriend…..we are merely just two people in the same business or whatever…..get over it people and get a life, nothing to see here…

*She waves her hand in the air as though mocking the fans

Jessica:Enough of this any way….i’ve got a mobile boutique waiting for me in the back….and this is like a wrestling show and stuff…

*Jessica passes the microphone back to Mike Bird as “Gangnam Style” begins to play again and the crowd boo as Kung and Hiroshi help Miss Jessica out of the ring and then escort her up the rampway.

JT:Well that was….different….

PS:It was magnificent….I mean people were actually doubting Miss Jessica when she got this job, but she is incredible….so smart and her decision making is spot on…..she is creating must-see television…

JT:It’s hard to argue with the facts so far, she is certainly pushing competition and I have no doubt that we are going to see the best from the roster tonight….I am just warped by the craziness we are seeing, how the hell can Miss Jessica be running this show?

PS:She is a natural…..beauty and brains, what a combination…

JT:We are heading for the commercial break right now folks….but when we get back, our first contest will be in the pipeline…

Match 1
Josh Valor vs Zach Corchia vs Jimmy Phillips

JT:First action of the night up now folks and this should be a cracker….

PS:Never easy being first on the bill Jeff, got a lot of expectation on you…but these guys are at the top of their game so it shouldn’t be a problem…

JT:Unfortunately it wouldn’t matter either way because there is a lot of expectation on tonight now….after Miss Jessica’s announcement it really is all or nothing for these men tonight…..”double or quits” it is all about getting to that match at War…..

PS:Exactly…in a way that is beneficial, there is no month long build up like there usually will be, these guys are being thrown in straight at the deep end….it’s nights like this when you truly separate the men from the boys….

“Can’t stop” echoes out of the speakers and the crowd in attendance give a great reception for the arrival of Zach Corchia. Blue pyros explode into the air as Corchia makes his way out and raises a hand into the air, sporting the rocker pose.

JT:Last week we saw Corchia kick off his Ascension debut with a disqualification victory over Josh Valor, but it was an incident after that match that had everyone talking….

PS:Valor zoned out last week….he showed a new ruthless side to his character and he ended up whopping Corchia’s a55…..I am sure Zach will want to try and get a little retribution tonight….

JT:Corchia is not the kind of guy to back down from a fight, Valor started a war last week and I don’t think Zach will hesitate in retaliation….

Corchia throws his leather jacket into the crowd and then rolls into the ring, taking to the corner to pose for the adoring masses. Flashbulbs go off all around and then Corchia jumps down off the ropes and fixes his attention on the entranceway.

PS:Zach Corchia has good credentials coming here to 6WF, but he’s in the elite now…..this will be a real test of how good he can be….

“The world belongs to me” plays out next and is hit by a brick wall of boos from the 6Wf faithful. The lights flash out for a moment and then they come back on and Josh Valor is kneeling on the stage. Valor stands up and pushes his hand up into the air before slowly marching down to the ring, a purposeful glare on his face.

JT:This is a whole different Josh Valor from the guy I saw back in 6CW…..he’s now a mean, wrecking machine as opposed to a dare-devil, crowd pleaser…

PS:Pleasing the crowd got Valor nowhere…..being an a55 kicker just might spark life into his career….this kid is my one to watch right now…

JT:You can see the intensity in Zach Corchia’s eyes, he just wants a straight up fight right now…

Valor slowly walks around the ring, looking up at Corchia as he does so. The Canadian superstar then pulls himself up onto the apron and steps over the ropes into the ring.

PS:This is in danger of exploding before we even get the third guy out here…

There are words exchanged between Corchia and Valor as the referee keeps them apart with a struggle. All eyes then turn back to the stage and the cheers ring out as “Cold Ash” hits the airwaves…

JT:And what about this guy……he might just be a future star…

PS:I think he will be……..a former collegiate football star, Jimmy Phillips is bring explosive action to Ascension….

Phillips rushes out onto the stage and he beats his chest before ripping off his hoody and tossing it into the crowd. He walks down to the ring and slaps hands with the fans before jumping up onto the apron, causing pyros to explode from all four turnbuckles….

JT:Would you look at that…

As the pyros explode, Valor attacks Corchia from behind and pushes him into the corner, where he proceeds to stomp a mudhole. Valor backs away and smirks at the boos from the crowd before raising his arms in the air…

JT:Yeah Josh Valor is real proud of himself…

PS:Not so much now…

The crowd cheer as Phillips slingshots himself over the top rope and he wipes out Valor with a big shoulder block takedown. Phillips welcomes Valor up again and this time launches him into a big hiptoss before beckoning him up for a third time and clotheslining him over the top rope to the outside of the ring….

JT:Jimmy Phillips demonstrating his explosiveness right there…

Phillips turns around and Zach Corchia runs at him, jumping in and attempting a wheelbarrow bodyscissors into a bulldog but Phillips counters with a huge german suplex.

PS:I thought Corchia was going to go through the canvass right there…

Zach staggers up in the corner and Phillips drives into him with a heavy bodysplash before beckoning him out and lifting him…

JT:Northern lights…

PS:No way was Valor going to sit back and watch that happen…

Valor and Phillips get back to their feet and Josh scores with a solid boot to the midsection before drilling his opponent with a DDT……………………..1…………………………..2………………..Phillips kicks out. Valor gets back up and he drags Phillips up by the head…

JT:Valor working for a piledriver…

Phillips rushes backwards and he backdrops Valor over the top rope onto the apron. Phillips looks to grab his opponent but Valor shoulder thrusts him through the middle rope and then attempts to suplex Phillips to the outside…

PS:Wait a minute….my god BALLGAME!

Crowd:Holy (beep) x7

JT:Never have I seen anything like that before…

Corchia runs across and uses the arched back of Jimmy Phillips as a springboard into the air, where he wraps his legs around the neck of Valor and nails a hurricanrana that sends both men flying off the apron into the ringside barrier…

PS:They could be both out cold after that move….

JT:Incredible from Zach Corchia….putting his body on the line….

PS:It really is “double or quits” tonight….

JT:These men know what is at stake, leaving nothing to chance…

Jimmy Phillps is look down at both men in shock before he climbs out of the ring and he grabs Zach Corchia before dumping him back in. Corchia is holding his neck slightly as he gets back to his feet and Jimmy Phillips takes him down with a russian legsweep……………………………1…………………………….2……………………..shoulder up!

JT:Phillips has the advantage now, he is the fresh man after Corchia’s death-defying stunt…

Phillips drags Corchia back up and looks for a suplex but Zach floats over the back and pushes Phillips off the ropes, flooring him with a dropsault as he comes back. Corchia then runs off the ropes and cartwheels back into a standing moonsault………………………………..1………………………..2……………..kickout.

PS:Corchia going for broke with the unique offense…

Josh Valor is attempting to climb back onto the apron so Corchia runs to the turnbuckle and springboards onto the ropes before firing back with a missile dropkick that sends Valor sprawling to the outside once more. Corchia then gets back to his feet and looks to stun Phillips with a superkick…

JT:Phillips scouted that one….

Phillips catches Zach’s foot in time and spins him around quickly, only to be wiped out by an impressive dragon whip kick (ala Shelton Benjamin). Corchia gets back to his feet and runs off the ropes as Jimmy Phillips begins to get back up….

PS:Nice headscissors…oh yes!

The crowd applaud as Corchia flies back into a headscissors which he transitions out into a reverse DDT………………………1…………………………………..2………………………shoulder up from Jimmy Phillips. Corchia gets back to his feet and he bounces back off the ropes and returns with a low hesitation dropkick to the face of Phillips before taking to the skies….

JT:Corchia built up some fantastic offense, he has Phillips exactly where he wants him….

PS:And now is the time to go high risk…..SHOOTING STAR!

The flashbulbs go off all around as Corchia flips from the top rope and lands with an astonishing shooting star legdrop across the throat of Jimmy Phillips…

JT:I think Jimmy Phillips was spent there….

PS:Now Valor’s turn to get aggressive….

Valor easily hauls Corchia up by the head and slings him into the corner, and charges in for a clothesline but Zach slides around the ropes and nails a twisting kick over the top (ala Kofi Kingston). Valor staggers back towards the centre of the ring as Corchia climbs high….

JT:CROSS….OH DAMN!

Corchia flies off the top rope for a crossbody but Valor amazingly catches him in midair and guides him into an excruciating double kneed gutbuster………………………….1…………………………….2…………………..Corchia just gets his shoulder up off the mat.

PS:This is Ascension for you Jeff…..checkout this action…it is relentless….

JT:Amazing stuff….these three men know that a victory will provide them with at least ten points, twenty if they can gain a submission…….

Valor waits for Corchia to get back up and then drills him with a hard backbreaker…………………..1……………………2……………………shoulder up again. Valor pulls Zach to his feet and lifts him into a suplex position, holding him there for ten seconds for slamming him down into the canvass…..

PS:Valor taking control now in this matchup…

Valor looks down at Corchia with dislike and then he heads for the corner and begins to climb the ropes. The crowd boo him furiously as he reaches the top rope and then dives off, driving his elbow right into the heart of Zach…

JT:Could finish it...

PS:GAME-CHANGER!

Valor gets up from the elbow drop and is immediately flattened by the huge running clothesline from Jimmy Phillips. The crowd roar in approval but then look on in dismay as Valor drops through the ropes to the outside of the ring….

JT:That was a three count for sure…..

PS:Sometimes the luck doesn’t go your way….Rollup!

Corchia sneaks behind Phillips and rolls him up……………………………1………………………..2…………………..JP kicks out. They get back onto their feet and Corchia looks for a leaping hurricanrana but Phillips catches him on his shoulders and then drops him backwards, guillotining Zach across the top rope….

JT:Talk about changing the complexity of a match, that was brutal to watch…

Zach Corchia is clearly hurting as he tries to get back up onto his feet. Phillips slowly stalks him, eyes full of focus as Corchia finally gets vertical and turns around…

PS:TOUCHDOWN!

Corchia almost falls prey to the “rockbottom” but he manages to elbow his way free and then quickly spingboards onto the ropes…

JT:Disaster kick!

Phillips ducks the kick at the last moment and then takes Corchia down with a german suplex into a bridge………………1……………………………2……………………………….shoulder up!

PS:I cannot get over how good this match is….you turn on any wrestling show in the world and they are not producing matchups as good as we are here on Ascension….

Phillips pulls Corchia back to his feet again and looks to flip him up into the “dominator” position but Zach drops down behind and counters into a backslide…………………………1………………………….2………..kickout from JP. They both get back to their feet and Corchia scores with a backheel kick to the stomach before grabbing Phillips’ head….

JT:DIAMOND DUST!

Phillips quickly shifts his feet and underhooks both of Corchia’s arms before lifting him up into a full nelson………

PS:Rollthrough…

Corchia rolls down and pulls Phillips’ through into the pinning predicament………………..1……………………….2………………kickout from Phillips!

JT:This truly is sensational….wait a minute…….WOW!

Crowd:Holy (beep) x5

PS:I agree with them….

Corchia and Phillips get back to their feet and Phillips looks for a clothesline but Zach ducks underneath and keeps running, diving through the middle ropes to suicide dive on Josh Valor. But Valor sidesteps at the last moment and Corchia’s own momentum sends him face-first into the announce table…..

JT:That was a risk that Zach Corchia really did not have to take….he laid it all on the line and it may have just cost him….

PS:Sensational to watch, but not so intelligent….

Valor smiles at Corchia’s lifeless body before rolling back into the ring and he quickly lifts Phillips’ up onto his shoulders….

JT:Two powerhouses gonna go at it now…

PS:Not for long….FORGOTTEN VALOR!

Valor looks for “wastelands” but Phillips drops down off the back and pushes Valor off the ropes before taking him down with a samoan drop on the comeback………………………………1………………………..2……………Valor gets his shoulder up!

JT:It was close but this match continues….

Phillips gets back to his feet and he waits for Valor to stand up before lifting him onto his shoulders and running him to the corner…..

PS:Snake eyes…

Valor drops down and pushes Phillips’ chest first into the turnbuckle before decimating him with a huge sitdown full nelson slam as he staggers back out…………………………….1………………………..2………….Phillips just gets his shoulder up!

JT:Valor thought he had that there….

Valor gets back up onto his feet and he kicks the ropes angrily before dragging Phillips’ up and trying to flip him into the air for a powerbomb…

PS:Phillips’ working hard to keep himself grounded…

Phillips manages to push Valor back into the corner and looks for big shoulder thrusts but Valor gets his knee up and drives it into the top of JP’s head, staggering back backwards. Valor then explodes out and lands with a knee lift to the stomach…he drags Phillips up and whips him off the ropes before taking him out with a sidewalk slam………………………………….1…………………………………….2………………………….kickout from Phillips!

JT:Zach Corchia is still in a bad way here down in our position….I don’t know if he will be able to keep competing….

PS:I’m sure medics will be out here soon enough….

Valor bangs his hand against the mat and holds up three fingers to the referee, but is told that it was a definite two count. He stands to his fullest and drives the point of his elbow into the back of Phillips’ neck before looking to lift him up into a suplex…

JT:Phillips with the float over….

Phillips drops out back and pushes Valor against the ropes, only for Josh to return and take his opponent down with a Lou Thesz press, which he follows up with solid right hands. Valor then beckons Phillips back up and scores with a big belly to belly suplex….

PS:That could be the finisher…

JT:Jimmy Phillips is hanging on here….he wants this victory as much as anyone…

Valor gets back to his feet and he has a deep fire in his eyes. He runs his left hand across his right fist and ushers Phillips to stand up…

PS:Remember Josh Valor has that background in bare-knuckle fighting…..he possesses a very devastating knockout punch and he could be lining it up right now…………CURTAIN JERKER!

Valor is about to unload with the knockout blow when Zach Corchia springboards from the ropes and takes Valor out with an amazing dragonrana………………………………1…………………………..2…………………..shoulder up in the nick of time!

JT:Corchia from nowhere, almost stealing this…

Valor and Corchia get back to their feet and Valor looks for a big boot but Corchia ducks underneath and springboards onto the ropes and sails back with a cracking disaster kick to the jaw, knocking Valor down. Zach then waits for Valor to begin getting up again as he runs the ropes…

PS:MAGIC ROUNDABOUT!

The crowd cheer loud as Corchia comes back and he plants Valor on his head with a beautiful front flip DDT……………1..

JT:Jimmy Phillips’ keeping this match alive…

They get back to their feet and Phillips immediately looks for a spinebuster but Corchia counters with a codebreaker and then climbs out onto the apron and springboards back into a falling splash…………………..1…………………………2…………………Phillips gets his shoulder up. Corchia gets back to his feet and he waits for JP to get back up before dragging him in….

PS:SHELLSHOCK!

Phillips elbows his way free just in time and then quickly runs at Corchia, who is caught unawares…
..
JT:GAME-CHANGER!

Corchia just manages to counter at the last moment and drop toe hold Phillips across the middle ropes. Zach then gets back to his feet and charges off the opposite ropes before returning….

PS:619!

The slingshot kick sends Phillips’ sprawling across the canvass and then Corchia positions himself on the apron and dives into the springboard….

JT:Gonna fly….

Corchia looks for the aerial crossbody but Phillips manages to catch him in midair and then scoop him up onto his shoulders….

PS:Slide through….

Corchia rolls down the back and into a pinning attempt……………………..1………………………….2…………….kickout. They both get back up and Corchia dropkicks Phillips’ knees, causing him to land on all fours, before running off the ropes and returning with a rolling cradle cover………………………1……………………….2………………shoulder up.

JT:Corchia desperate to get more points on the board….

Phillips is quick to get back to his feet but Corchia is faster and lands with a superkick out of nowhere, Phillips collapses down on his back and Corchia grabs his legs…

PS:Sharpshooter….Corchia is desperate for those twenty points….

JT:Double or quits night………if Corchia wins and gets twenty points, there is no way he won’t qualify for the championship match this Sunday….

PS:He needs to turn him first though….

JT:Done it….

Phillips tries to scramble but Corchia locks his leg in place and succeeds in twisting Phillips over onto his stomach. The crowd are cheering for Zach as JP yells out in pain and tries to scramble for the ropes…

PS:Phillips may have to tap….

JT:FORGOTTEN VALOR!

Josh Valor is back on his feet and he scoops Corchia up onto his shoulders and looks to take him out with the “wastelands” but Corchia counters expertly into an armdrag takedown. They get back to their feet and Corchia ducks a clothesline and leaps onto the top rope….

PS:Amazing improvisation….STYLIN DDT!

The crowd roar as Corchia moonsaults back over the top of Valor into the inverted DDT………………….1…………………………………….2……………………..Valor manages to get his foot on the ropes at the last second.

JT:Crowd though that was over…………..

PS:So did I……….Valor showing great presence of mind……….

Corchia gets back to his feet and looks a little shocked as Valor is starting to get back to his feet. Corchia looks out at the crowd and draws from their energy before letting Valor stands and kicks him in the stomach…

JT:Ground version of the EaZy Plunge….

The bell sounds to end the contest and the crowd are on their feet as “Cold Ash” echoes out of the speakers. The instant replays show Josh Valor scoring with the “wastelands” on Zach Corchia after standing up out of the crossbody, only for Jimmy Phillips to dump Valor over the top rope and make the cover on Corchia himself.

JT:Jimmy Phillips timed his intervention to perfection….waited for that exact moment when Corchia was done for and Valor had let his guard down…

PS:Josh Valor had this match won, finished Corchia amazingly…..but his eye was off the ball for a second and you cannot even afford a lapse like that in this game….Phillips got in there and stole his pin…..ten points on the board, thank you very much….

JT:What a tremendous match that was…..all three men went to their limits for the victory, but in the end it could only belong to one and that is Jimmy Phillips…

PS:Phillips has put himself in a great position…..he’s top of the tree, 15 points to his name and his spot in Sunday’s championship match is all but secured……Valor and Corchia on the other hand face an anxious if nut futile wait for their fates…

JT:Well that is what Ascension is all about, results gain you opportunities….you don’t get anything for not winning matches and that is the cold, hard truth….Jimmy Phillips won this match, his opponents did not….and now Phillips’ will no doubt have an opportunity at becoming the first AWF Champion…

PS:Miss Jessica designed this concept especially for that reason…to make this brand as competitive as possible as she is sure getting her wish, that was competitive as hell…..this is an amazing product and these fans are getting their money’s worth here…

*The action is backstage and the crowd cheer loud as Cobra is shown standing by with Jack Reynolds. Cobra is dressed for competition, wearing black and yellow MMA style shorts.

Reynolds:Last week you kicked off life here on Ascension with an impressive victory over an old foe, Jerome Dubois. This week you face a much different task, triple threat rules against former 6WF Hardcore Champion, Scorpion and a man you also know well, former 6CW Champion, Geoff Steel. How do you rate your level of competition?

Cobra:Last week I was a little disappointed to stand across the ring from Jerome Dubois, because I have had a lifetime of kicking that frog’s a55 around a professional wrestling ring!

*Crowd cheer

Cobra:I signed my contract here on Ascension to test myself against top class opposition and this week I have got my wish. I know people have differing views on the Scorpion….but I have seen this kid and he has potential, maybe sometimes he lacks dedication but I know I will need to be on my game to get the better of him.

And then there is Geoff Steel, a man worthy of anyone’s admiration. A former 6CW World Champion and one of the hardest working professionals in this game. I didn’t have a lot of time to perform in 6CW whilst Geoff was there, but I saw enough to know he was going to become a big game player. And I was right…because whilst I was competing and triumphing in CWC, Steel was dominating the competition back in 6CW….they do not come much tougher than this man right here…

But as much as I respect Steel…..as much as I see potential in the Scorpion……that is as far as it goes. Because I am not here to make friends, or sit in a circle whilst we all boost each other’s egos….I am here to win, to make a statement and make sure that my name is mentioned in the same breath as the true greats of this business…

Reynolds:Well then you must be fired up about tonight’s announcement….”double or quits”….a win in your next match would all but guarantee you a shot at the AWF Championship this Sunday at War….

Cobra:Exactly….you saw in that first match that nobody is taking any chances here tonight and I don’t intend on being any different. I have come back from some of the best federations around the world to demonstrate just how much I have developed as a fighter….I have fought against some of the best in the world and now I want to beat everything that 6WF has to offer….

I am now performing in front of a worldwide audience….and although I am confident in my own abilities, I don’t I am appreciated in certain quarters….so now is my time to shine, my time to truly propel myself into the upper echelons of this business…

That means winning tonight…..that means moving onto War and becoming the first ever AWF Champion…..after that, who knows but I will not be satisfied until my name is back up in the bright lights of 6WF once again……my last run ended prematurely, this time I will reign as the true king..

Reynolds:That is Cobra….as confident as ever before his match tonight….good luck to you…..

*Cobra nods at Reynolds before walking away

*The scene changes and a doctor is checking over Zach Corchia. Zach is sat down on a medical bench and the medic is shining a torch in Corchia’s eyes.

Doctor:And just look to the right Zach…

*Corchia follows the light

Doctor:Are you experiencing any pain, nausea?

Corchia:Just a little banged up….but I am ok…

Doctor:Perhaps I should have a word with Miss Jessica, have you excused from action next week..

Corchia:No!....absolutely not…..this is my life doc, and next week is the start of a new month here on Ascension. I need to be in action, start fresh and climb the ladder…

Doctor:Ok…..but I recommend plenty of rest between now and then…

Corchia:You’ve got it…

*There is a commotion as suddenly Josh Valor bursts into the picture and kicks Corchia right in the face, toppling him backwards off the bench. The medic scatters in fear as Valor turns the table upside ontop of Zach…

Valor:Son of a…..

*Valor stomps down ontop of Corchia’s head and then picks up a trash can and slams it across the neck and head of his rival.Security burst in and drag Valor away.

Security:That’s enough Valor…..get him the hell out of here…and somebody tell Jessica, she is going to want to deal with this…

Valor:I’m not finished with you yet Corchia…..next month belongs to me…..and I will finish you for good…..

*Valor is escorted out of the scene as medics tend to Zach Corchia

*The crowd cheer as Jimmy Phillips walks through the backstage area with a towel over his shoulder. Kayleigh Reed is waiting to grab an interview.

Reed:Congratulations on your win Jimmy….you must be pleased?

Phillips:Of course I am…..that was one of the most difficult matches of my career and yet here I am, standing victorious after a hard fought battle. I keep saying to everyone around me that the more difficult the challenge put in front of me, the better I am going to perform.

For me this is just the beginning, I am only just starting my journey in the fight game and as good as my performances might be right now, they are only going to get better as time goes by.

Reed:With that being said, your latest victory has all but sealed your position in the AWF Championship match this Sunday…….you have got to be excited about that prospect Jimmy?

Phillips:Anybody involved in pro-wrestling that says they aren’t interested in winning championship gold is a liar…….because this is the reason we get out of bed in the morning. The reason we push ourselves to the limit when we get into the gym…………..

So everytime I get in the ring, I am striving for victory, striving to put points on the board so that I am always in contention for the title…..

Needless to say, therefore, that all but guaranteeing my spot at War in the AWF Championship match is a great feeling. Now I need to prepare, now I need to make sure I am on the top of my game and fully focused for what lies ahead………….because I know that come War there is going to be three other guys wanting this just as much as I do…..I need to make sure that I push myself that little bit further than the competition…

I appreciate all the support from all my great fans…….but trust me when I say, the best is yet to come…

Reed:Thanks for your time Jimmy…..

*Phillips winks at her and then walks away with a smile on his face

*Miss Jessica is in her office, she places her feet up on the desk and kicks her heels off before turning around to Doug McKenzie, who is tapping his foot impatiently.

Jessica:Sorry Dougy, tell me again what it is you want…

McKenzie:The Valor situation….it’s beginning to get a little out of hand…

Jessica:Like I totally know…

McKenzie:So what are you wanting to do about it?

*Jessica tilts her head back and smiles

Jessica:Nothing…

McKenzie:Excuse me?

Jessica:Nothing Dougy….not right now….give little Josh one week to calm down, if not…..I will so totally come down on him…

*She narrows her eyebrows with a dirty smile

McKenzie:You’re the boss…

Jessica:And don’t your forget it…

*McKenzie shakes his head as he walks towards the office door and pulls the door open.

McKenzie:You have a visitor…

*McKenzie leaves the room as Jerome Dubois enters with a bunch of flowers

Jessica:Dubby….

*Jessica stands up and slowly moves across to accept the flowers

Dubois:Madame….you are looking as beautiful as ever…

*Jessica spins around and then Dubois kisses her hand

Jessica:You are like so too kind…..Hiroshi, vase

*She clicks her fingers and one of her Japanese helpers appears with a vase, in which she deposits the flowers

Dubois:Gorgeous flowers for a gorgeous lady……I was wondering eef we could have a quick word?

Jessica:Totally Dubby….totally….

*She motions for him to sit down as she walks around the desk and does the same

Dubois:It iz this match tonight Jessica….you know last week was a disaster for me..

Jessica:I know it was and I apologise for that but this week will totally be better Dubby….I promise you that…

*She slowly licks her lips and sits back in her chair

Dubois:You have something planned?

*She raises her eyebrows

Jessica:Perhaps….

Dubois:Do tell…..no need for teasing…

Jessica:No?....that is my favorite part….

*She laughs playfully

Jessica:Ok….i’ll tell you, if you do something for me…

Dubois:I would be only too willing…

*He stands up and moves closer to the desk as Jessica flicks her hair back and bites her tongue. Dubois bends down close to her face.

Dubois:What is it you would like?

Jessica:Surprise me….

*She smiles again as Dubois edges ever closer and then the door swings open and they jump apart

Jessica:Scorpy what the hell….

*Scorpion is just in the doorway looking less than impressed

Scorpion:We need to talk…

Dubois:As you can see mon ami, we are quite busy right now…

Scorpion:I wasn’t talking to you…

Dubois:No but I was talking to you…

*Dubois stands up and Scorpion gets right in his face

Scorpion:Back away Frenchy, whilst you still have the capability…

Dubois:You do not scare me little boy…

*There is a high pitch shriek from behind and both men turn to face Miss Jessica

Jessica:Like hello I am so totally just sitting her like a plum right now….let’s have a little conversation coming this way….

*Both men look apologetic towards the General Manager

Scorpion:I would just like a quick word Jessica, to follow on from what we discussed last week…

*He looks pointedly at her and she smiles

Jessica:No problem Scorpy…

Dubois:But Jessica….we are discussing….

*She holds her hand up

Jessica:I can sense the animosity but the thing is, the two of you aren’t so different….

*Scorpion and Dubois stare at one another in disbelief

Jessica:And it just so happens I need a favor before I start dishing them out for anyone else….shall we talk business now?

*They turn to her and then nod in agreement

Jessica:Good….now Scorpy you close the door…..and we’ll get down to it….this is like totally going to blow your mind…

*Scorpion shoves the camerman out of the door and smirks before closing the door and ending the scene

Geoff Steel vs Scorpion vs Cobra

JT:What was that all about?

PS:Your guess is as good as mine…Miss Jessica, Jerome Dubois and Scorpion on the same page…

JT:What a disastrous combination that could turn out to be….the rest of Ascension would do well to be on their guard….

The crowd roar as “last resort” echoes out and red/silver pyros explode high into the air. Geoff Steel then brushes through the curtain onto the stage and he smiles at the reaction he is afforded. Steel nods his head in acknowledgement and then strides down to the ring.

JT:Here is the league leader…..former 6CW Champion and the man that made Scorpion tap out last week…

PS:Steel is already in a fine position in regards to Sunday at War…..another victory here would definitely cement his place…

JT:I would go as far as to say that if Steel isn’t involved in the final decision at all he will qualify for Sunday’s championship match….aslong as he isn’t pinned or made to submit then Steel is within touching distance…

PS:He won’t rest back on probabilities, Geoff Steel is coming here to win, make no mistake about it…

Geoff Steel walks down the rampway and slaps hands with the fans before he climbs up onto the apron and paces around, eventually climbing through the ropes into the ring. The crowd continue to chant his name as Steel lounges back against the ropes and waits.

JT:Geoff Steel looks ready for this one, but then again I don’t think there is a man on the roster who isn’t fired up tonight…

PS:If there is, they do not deserve to be here…

Steel steps forwards slightly as “wake up” plays out and the crowd begins to boo furiously. Scorpion marches out onto the stage with a smug look on his face and he raises his arms into his trademark “X” pose before swaggering to the ring.

JT:Straight edge’s saviour…..Scorpion is looking to pick up his first win here on Ascension…

PS:And the Colorado native will be looking for big time retribution on Steel aswell….Scorpion has all the makings of a world class superstar, he just needs to fit all the pieces together properly and who knows….

JT:He could definitely be a player in the future, and if his relationship with Miss Jessica has indeed been rekindled then who knows what we could be in store for, here on Ascension…

Scorpion sneers at the fans as he paces around the ring and then points up at Steel and trash talks him. Steel merely smirks and beckons for his rival to climb into the ring. Scorpion gets as far as the ring apron but refuses to step through the ropes….

PS:Scorpion very reluctant, pausing back and that could be smart….you know what they say, fools rush in…

Scorpion just grins at Steel from the outside and then the crowd erupts into mass cheers again as “King of the stereo” roars out, accompanied by red, white and green pyrotechnics. Cobra then makes his way out onto the stage and he paces back and forth before letting out a shout and walking towards the ring.

PS:Nice to see Cobra has gone to the effort of changing into his wrestling attire this week….

JT:He was shown disrespect last week, whereas this week his opponents are taking him very seriously….Cobra returning the compliment….

PS:He picked up five points last week, it stands him in good stead, but he is by no means safe just yet…..a win is crucial for the former TAW Champion…

JT:I agree, and judging by his demeanor he knows it too….

Cobra stands at the base of the ring and he stares up at Geoff Steel with respect in his eyes before hauling himself upon the apron. Scorpion drops down on the opposite side and backs away towards the announce area as Cobra climbs into the ring.

JT:Cobra and Geoff Steel in the same ring….prime versus prime, 6CW fans would be on their feet at such a mouth-watering contest…

PS:You throw Scorpion into the mix, Scorpion with an obvious new found confidence, and this is a potential epic….

JT:I don’t like that smug look on Scorpion’s face, it leaves me with a bad feeling about what may be afoot….

Scorpion continues to pace the outside with a smile as the referee has a quick word with Cobra and Steel before the bell sounds and the match gets underway. Steel and Cobra nod at each other and then circle each other before locking up in the centre of the ring…

JT:Good old fashioned test of strength to get us underway…

Cobra tries to heel-trip Steel to the canvass but Steel keeps his feet grounded and shoves Cobra backwards into the corner and launches in with a clothesline attempt. Cobra dodges the blow and lands with quick muay thai strikes to the legs before attempting to land one to the midsection…

PS:Steel scouted that…

Geoff catches Cobra’s leg and then swipes his standing leg with his foot and attempts to twist him over in the centre of the ring…

JT:Looking for the steelworks…

Cobra manages to pull his legs into his chest and then kicks out at Steel, sending him toppling back into the corner. Cobra scrambles back to his feet and chases in and looks for a big boot to the head of Steel but GS ducks out of the way and manages to roll Cobra up………………………….1………………………….2…………………shoulder up.

PS:Steel almost stealing one there….

Scorpion continues to watch on from the outside as Cobra and Steel begin to unload with right hands. Steel’s blows are more telling and he rocks Cobra back to the ropes and then irish whips him across the ring….

JT:SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY!

The crowd cheer as Cobra floats back through the air and lands ontop of Steel……………………..1………………………2………………………….shoulder up. They get back to their feet and Cobra clutches Steel by the head and lands with heavy muay thai knees to his opponent’s face before spinning him around 360 and then drilling him with a t-bone suplex………………………..1…………………..2…………Steel kicks out.

PS:Cobra is going to town early, just like he did with Dubois last week….but Geoff Steel is a resilient guy, he won’t just lay down….

Steel staggers back to his feet and Cobra hooks his arm for an “angle “ slam but Steel jumps out the side and pushes Cobra into the corner before following in…

JT:Just not quite happening for Steel…

Cobra lands with a hard backheel kick to the stomach of Steel, who promptly doubles over. Cobra then springboards onto the ropes and floats back over the top of Steel into a sunset flip rollup………………….1……………………………2……………………………kickout.

PS:Cobra said he wanted to come back to 6WF and show what he has become, so far he is doing a good job…

Cobra pulls Steel up by the head and tries to flip him into the air for a powerbomb but Steel keeps his feet grounded and counters with a backdrop. Cobra is quickly back on his feet and he looks to score with a superkick but Steel catches his foot and spins him around before nailing a back suplex………………1……………………2…………………shoulder up!

JT:Geoff Steel is a never say die kind of athlete…..I have seen him in so many precarious predicaments and yet he always finds a way back…

They get back to their feet again and Steel is quick in with a hard kick to the midsection before flattening Cobra with a snap DDT………………………….1……………………..2…………………shoulder up. Steel gets back to a vertical base and he beckons for Scorpion to get involved…

PS:Scorpion is really taking his time here…

JT:It is getting beyond ridiculous now…

Cobra is back up on his feet and he looks to surprise Steel with a swinging roundhouse but Steel ducks it and counters with a german suplex. Steel keeps his hands locked as he drags Cobra back to his feet again and connects with a second german suplex….

JT:Steel could be thinking trifecta here…oh wow!

Steel drags Cobra up for a third time and looks destined for a third straight suplex, but instead he lifts Cobra up and then slams him down face-first into the canvass……………………..1………………………….2……………………shoulder up!

PS:That was amazingly smart by Steel…..he knew that Cobra was anticipating the third suplex, and instead he changed it up…..

Steel pulls Cobra up and whips him into the corner before following in and scoring with a clothesline. He then grabs his opponent’s arm and sends him crashing across to the opposite corner….Cobra staggers out into the centre and Steel lifts him onto his shoulders….

JT:Fireman’s slam perhaps…

Cobra elbows his way off the shoulders of Steel and then pushes him against the ropes. He follows in and looks for a clothesline but Steel drops his shoulder and backdrops Cobra over the top rope to the apron. Cobra manages to keep his footing and he forearms Steel in the face as he turns around before springboarding….

PS:SPRINGBOARD ROARING ELBOW!

The crowd applaud as Cobra floats through the air and seems to knock Steel senseless with the twisting elbow. Steel collapses on the canvass and Cobra dives across to make the cover……………………..1………………………2……………shoulder up from Steel.

JT:Steel fighting on instinct alone right there, he had to be….

PS:Cobra showing off his dangerous strike game….

Cobra waits for Geoff Steel to slowly crawl back onto his feet and then positions himself behind his rival and attempts to twist his arms into place…

JT:Cobra thinking “snakebite”….

Steel counters the spinning impailer attempt by pushing Cobra against the ropes and then twisting him into a powerslam on the comeback…………………….1………………………….2…………………..shoulder up. Steel gets back to his feet and wobbles slightly as Cobra runs at him and dives into the air…

PS:Hurrican…..Wowzers!

The crowd cheer as Steel amazingly catches the giant frame of Cobra and drills him with a release powerbomb. Cobra is prone on the canvass as Steel makes his way over to the corner and begins to scale the ropes……

JT:Steel has managed to work himself an opening…..he really is hanging tough in there…

PS:He’s showing his class….Cobra isn’t the only big name in this contest……FLYING HEADBUTT!

Steel soars through the air, as the flashbulbs go off, and he buries his head straight into the chest of his prone opponent. The crowd are on their feet cheering…

JT:Steel usually uses the move to soften his opponent up…………..the “bladecutter” soon to follow….

PS:Not today…

The crowd boo furiously as Scorpion has finally decided to enter the match and he spins Steel into a huge spine buster as he staggers up to his feet. He then moves over to the prone figure of Cobra and shifts his feet before running off the ropes…

JT:Scorpion taking control now….SCORPION ELBOW!

PS:Smart thinking….Scorpion bided his time and now this is all in his control…

Scorpion drives his elbow into Cobra’s chest and then covers…………………..1………………….2…………….shoulder up. Scorpion gets back to his feet and he kicks Geoff Steel in the stomach before suplexing him across the middle of the ropes…..he then runs off the opposite side and returns with a big boot that sends Steel flying off the apron to the outside…

JT:This is Scorpion at his ruthless best…

He turns his attention back to Cobra and begins to stomp aggressively on the back of his foe before bouncing back off the ropes and returning with a hard knee to the side of the head. Cobra is flat on his back as Scorpion backs into the corner, lifting himself onto the second rope and then dives off with a heavy fistdrop to the forehead…

PS:Scorpion seems extremely confident…I don’t know what is going on between him,Dubois and Miss Jessica but it seems to be having a great effect…

Cobra stumbles back to his feet and Scorpion lifts him into an inverted atomic drop before whipping him into the corner and following in with a diving double knee strike to the chest. Scorpion rolls back onto his feet and he beckons Cobra towards him before kicking him in the stomach….

JT:DEATH STALKER!

Scorpion looks for the stunner but Cobra pushes him away and Steel pulls down the top rope, causing Scorpion to tumble over to the outside. Scorpion tries to quickly get back to his feet but Steel runs at him and clotheslines him to the floor. Geoff then drags Scorpion by the head and pulls him into the aisleway….

PS:Steel’s gonna try and piledrive Scorpion on the hard flooring….

Crowd:That was awe-some x7

JT:That is truly amazing athleticism….

Steel looks ready for the piledriver when Cobra runs across the ring and front flips over the top rope into a senton splash that wipes out both Steel and Scorpion on the outside. The crowd roar in delight as Cobra gets back up this feet and motions a belt around his waist…

JT:Cobra is all fired up…..and he can sense that championship match within his grasp….

Cobra pulls Scorpion back to his feet and dumps him under the bottom rope into the ring. He then climbs up onto the apron and scales the ropes…

PS:For such a big, he has impeccable balance……FLYING RANA!

The crowd show their appreciation as Cobra leaps from the top rope and wraps his long legs around the neck of Scorpion, spinning him into an incredible hurricanrana. They both get back to their feet and Cobra lifts Scorpion up onto his shoulders…

JT:Death valley driver….

PS:Get those ten points ready….

JT:I thought Geoff Steel had claimed a three there…

PS:Geoff Steel is really doing himself proud tonight….

Steel spits across the canvass in slight dismay and then he drags Cobra up by the head and places him in position…

JT:BLADECUTTER!

Cobra swipes Steel’s legs and bridges over the top………………………….1………………………..2……………………..Steel bridges out with expert strength and twists out to face his foe…

PS:ARIZONA BARK!

The crowd boo furiously as Scorpion rushes across and lands a diving spear on both Cobra and Geoff Steel. He then covers Cobra………………………1………………………………2…………………shoulder up. Scorpion then makes the cover on Steel…………………………………..1…………………………….2……………….kickout!

JT:Scorpion really believed he had that one in the bag…

Scorpion pushes the referee in the chest and shouts at him to count faster, which leads to the referee pushing Scorpion back. The Straight Edge superstar smirks and then beckons for Geoff Steel to stand up and then runs at him..

PS:VENOM STING!

JT:STEELWORKS!

Scorpion looks for the punt to the head but Steel catches his foot and drags him to the canvass before twisting him over into the liontamer. The crowd cheer loud as Steel drives his knee down into the back of his foe….

PS:This finished Scorpion off last week….twenty points are within Steel’s grasp….

JT:This is truly wonderful to watch…

Scorpion tries to reach for the ropes but he finds himself too far away. Agony is etched all across his face and his hand quivers….

PS:He’s gonna tap out….

JT:VIPER STRIKE!

The crowd are torn as Cobra suddenly buzzsaw kicks Steel in the side of the head and sends the Sheffield man through the ropes to the outside of the ring. Cobra then underhooks Scorpion’s arms and flips him up into a tiger bomb….

PS:Cobra came back into this fight from being on the cusp of defeat….

Scorpion is flat out on the canvass and Cobra contemplates a cover before moving over to the corner and beginning to climb the ropes. Scorpion is still unmoving as Cobra reaches the top…

JT:This all ends here…..Scorpion may have a venomous sting, but for this move there is NO KNOWN CURE!

The flashbulbs go off all around as Cobra dives off into the double rotation moonsault, only for Scorpion to roll out of the way just in time. Cobra lands heavily on his chest and Scorpion manages to crawl back up to his feet…

Geoff Steel drags Scorpion under the bottom rope and immediately flapjacks him up and drops him face-first across the announce table. The crowd are cheering as Steel shakes his head and then rolls back into the ring…

PS:We look set to be down to two…………..and Cobra is hurting….

JT:This is Steel’s best chance….

Cobra is trying to get back to his feet when Steel climbs up to the top rope and dives off with a shoulder tackle takedown. Steel then gets back to his feet and he pulls Cobra back up….

PS:BLADE…

Cobra counters the piledriver into an alabama slam. The crowd are split in their support Cobra floors Steel with a clothesline as he stands up again. Cobra beckons Steel up for a third time and he seizes him around the throat before lifting him into a chokeslam and dropping him down into a backbreaker……………………..1………………………….2…………………………..shoulder up!

JT:I thought our opening contest was amazing………….and this action is just getting better….

PS:Ascension is where it is at….

Cobra gets back up to his feet and he waits for Steel to stand up again before lifting him up into the air for an “Angle” slam but Steel drops off the back and counters with a russian legsweep. Steel then backs into the corner lifts himself onto the second rope…

JT:Steel dropping the elbow….

Steel flies off for the elbow drop but Cobra rolls out of the way, causing Steel to slam heavily into the canvass, Cobra then gets back to his feet and sizes up his options before swivelling as Steel reaches his vertical base….

PS:VIPER….

JT:STEELWORKS!

Steel blocks the buzzsaw kick and drags Cobra to the canvass before twisting him over into liontamer. Cobra lets out a giant shout of pain and tries to scramble for the ropes, but Steel drags him back into the middle and really jams his knee into the spine of his opponent….

JT:This is expertly applied…..Steel is putting excruciating pain up Cobra…

PS:I’ve never seen Cobra look so vulnerable……Steel is a submission expert, could we about to see the Mexican tap out?

JT:If anyone can make it happen, it is Geoff Steel….

Cobra tries again to crawl for the ropes but Steel’s grip is right and he refuses to let his opponent budge. The referee is on his knees, asking Cobra if he wants to quit but Cobra shakes his head and refuses to give in….

PS:Cobra might just pass out from the pain…..

Cobra’s face is turning redder by the moment and although he refuses to tap out, his fight is becoming less and less pronounced. The crowd are watching on in almost disbelief as the referee turns towards the timekeeper for the signal…

JT:Steel is going to do this….what a performance…

PS:Nobody will be betting against Steel this Sunday…..

CRACK!

JT:NO!

The boos ring out all around as Scorpion rolls back in and he drives a steel chair right across the skull of Steel, the sound echoing all around the arena. Geoff staggers back and collapses as Scorpion then turns around to face Cobra…

PS:Scorpion just wanting to make sure he isn’t stopped….

SMACK!....The crowd roar as Cobra dodges the chair shot at the very last second and then buzzsaw kicks the weapon straight into the face of Scorpion, sending him crashing through the ropes to the outside. Cobra then spins around and looks almost apologetic as he pulls the groggy Steel to his feet…

JT:Cobra has no choice………………SNAKEBITE!

PS:Game over…………..ten points on the board for Cobra….and Geoff Steel’s championship aspirations may have just been ended….

JT:An anxious wait for sure now…..Geoff Steel was on the verge of winning this match, Scorpion put paid to that……

PS:Thanks to Scorpion it is Cobra walking away victorious….it obviously wasn’t his intention but that is how it has played out in the end….

JT:Scorpion is definitely out of the running for the title match…..it will be little consolation that his actions may have cost Steel his opportunity….

PS:Scorpion came in here with a plan, and that plan has quite obviously backfired…..The Straight Edge Superstar will have to return to the drawing board after this disaster…

JT:Say whatever you want though, Cobra showed his qualities here tonight, stuck in there when many would have tapped out and he has come away with a fantastic win….he is going to War…

Cobra looks down, almost sorry for Geoff Steel, and then backs away and climbs the ropes to celebrate with his fans. Scorpion is hunched by the security railing, holding his jaw and looking sullen as flashbulbs go off and chants of “Co-bra” ring out from every avenue.

PS:Sensational matchup whatever way you look at it…..this just keeps on getting better….hats off to all three men, but congratulations to Cobra…

JT:Truly was inspirational stuff from all three of these men…………we know for sure that Jimmy Phillips and Cobra will go onto War this Sunday to compete for the first ever AWF Championship….but there is still two spots up for grabs….stay tuned folks to see who else will earn their opportunuty…

*The scene moves backstage where Lex Hart is shown taping up for the main event.Boos can be heard from the crowd and then Jack Reynolds moves into shot.

Reynolds:Mind if I grab a quick word Lex?

Hart:Am I becoming popular around here or something?

*The boos suddenly answer his question, but Lex takes it in his stride and smiles

Reynolds:I wanted to first ask you about how it feels to have already been named on the War card pay per view this Sunday?....Abe Abercorn choosing you to be the man that faces Marshall Murdoch, that is a heck of a comeback fight…

Lex:I don’t for one minute believe that Abe was trying to do me a favor, I mean why would he?...and more importantly, why should he?....Abe doesn’t owe me anything, I think he would just rather see two guys he dislikes beat the heck out of each other.

But that’s fine because I am thankful for the opportunity all the same. Back when 6CW shut down I wondered whether or not to call it a day. I had a huge hand in the demise of one of the greatest wrestling companies on the planet and only when they closed the doors, I blamed everybody but myself, taking no responsibility for my actions.

I then turned up in CWA and thought perhaps I could start again. Pick up where I had left off in 6CW, but then they went out of business too. It was only then, when I was sat at him feeling sorry for myself that I realized there was nobody else to blame for any of those failures, except me. How many times have I trampled upon people?......how many times have I disregarded the feelings of others, just for my own personal gain.

Nobody will ever know my shame and how I felt at that moment. I don’t expect anyone to feel sympathy or to perhaps even believe me…..but I assure you that for once, the truth is the only thing leaving my mouth.

6WF have provided me with an opportunity to re-write my career, one final chance at bettering myself and I have no intentions of wasting this chance. If that means getting my a55 kicked every week then so be it, fighting Marshall Murdoch at War then bring it on……I will not lie down any more or look for a shortcut, I will meet my demons head on.

Reynolds:Tonight you compete in tag team action, pairing with Johnny Goldman to face the team of Cerberus and Jerome Dubois. There is still an outside chance of you qualifying for the championship match at War….is that something you want, or would you be concerned about fighting two matches in one night?

Lex:Pulling double duty is the very least of my worries right now, in fact it’s something I am almost desperate to do.

Because competing twice at War might just go to show how serious I am about getting my career back on track. Managing to re-invent myself and put on some great performances might just open people’s eyes. I know I say I am not trying to convince anyone, but I do feel I owe every fan and every person that has been unfortunate to cross my path over the years.

Tonight won’t be easy, no match ever is when you are against top talent like here on Ascension…but I am working hard every day in the gym so that I am on point, and I plan on being at my best this evening. I know my chances are slim, but if I can be the man that picks up the victory for my team then I believe I might just have a shot.

Reynolds:What if Johnny Goldman is in an opportunity to get the victory?

Lex:Then the victory is his….I know what you want me to say, that maybe the old Lex may turn up and snap me back into reality but that is not going to happen. I will work as a team with Goldman, no questions asked, and if he gets his opportunity then he will have earned it and I will not stand in the way of that….but if it’s me that works myself into position, well then I hope he respects me in the same way.

???:Like so totally drop the act Lexy…

*The crowd boo louder as Miss Jessica struts into the camerashot.Lex looks stony jawed

Lex:Jessica…..

Jessica:I don’t know what scheme you are trying to pull here baby….

*She moves close to his face

Jessica:But you can’t fool me, I can see right through you….

Lex:Some of us don’t stay transparent forever Jess…

*She grins evily

Jessica:I just thought that if you were having one of your moments….forming a plan in your mind, perhaps you would care to share……we were great together once Lex, why not again?

*She runs her hand along his shoulder but he slaps it away

Lex:My days of being desperate are over….everything I earn from this point will be off my own hard work…

Jessica:Like don’t be so stupid Lex…..you can’t stay on the straight and narrow for long, soon your senses will be totes tingling for some evil doings…..and you know, my door will be open when that time comes…..see you around…

*She waves as she backs out of the scene. Lex watches her disappear with fury etched over his face

*The scene changes and the crowd pop as they see Johnny Goldman standing by with Kayleigh Reed.

Reed:Johnny…..in just a few moments you will compete on tonight’s main event. Teaming up with Lex Hart to take on the team of Jerome Dubois and Cerberus….the question Johnny, is are you feeling at 100%?

Goldman:I went through a table last week, it’s no big deal Kayleigh and I am feeling as fine as you look.

*She smiles

Goldman:It wasn’t as if I felt from a great height….or I was busted wide open……I got chokeslammed by a seven foot monster through a table. And whilst it left some bruises, and I was banged up for a day or two, the pain subsided and I am now raring to go.

Reed:Well tonight you will the chance to exact some retribution on Cerberus, are you looking forward to that?

Goldman:No doubt about it…..see I don’t scare easily, so whatever tactics Cerberus was trying to employ last week, they didn’t work, not one single bit. He may have had the final word last week, but this chapter is only just beginning and I guarantee it will be me that laughs loudest when all is said and done.

So tonight I’ll take on Cerberus….i’ll hand out a beating to him and Dubois that makes them wish they were never born. I’ll put me some points upon on the board and I will secure my place in that championship match this Sunday!

Reed:You sure sound confident Johnny…

Goldman:I am confident, and I am also focused and determined. Because I was unnecessarily stripped of my championship last week, and I will do anything to get that back. I am the only superstar that entered Ascension with championship gold and I didn’t deserve what happened to me last week. But instead of whining and complaining, I am going out to the ring to right the wrongs and do something about it.

Ascension is rocking right now……..but it is still lacking an edge that takes it from being good to great….it lacks a champion of true distinction………………Ascension is lacking me at the forefront of everything that means something…….because Kayleigh, I don’t know if you heard………but everything that glitters….

Crowd:IS GOLDMAN!

Goldman:Don’t forget that!

*Goldman smirks and then walks off towards the entranceway

*Geoff Steel is shown exiting his lockeroom. He is dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt, his kitbag over his shoulder and is heading for the parking lot.Former CWA reporter, Raymond Alexander is waiting for him.

Alexander:Steel…..your leaving?

Steel:Heading back to the hotel to get some rest and re-evaluate on a few things.

Alexander:Your not sticking around for the main event?

Steel:I don’t think so…..I need to get out of here and clear my head before I do anything stupid.

Alexander:Obviously you are disappointed with your defeat tonight, but is that really any reason to leave the building?

Steel:I believe it is…….because right now there is something in my head that is telling me to find Scorpion, rip his head from his shoulders and deposit something very nasty within the hole that remains…

*Crowd pop and Alexander raises his eyebrows in surprise

Steel:And I don’t want to do that because that isn’t the kind of guy I am. I prefer to deal with my problems inside of the ring and that isn’t possible here this evening so I need to go get some rest, calm down and re-assess my approach

Alexander:But you are still in contention for a place in Sunday’s championship match?

Steel:I am barely hanging in there by the skin of my teeth, we both know that. It is going to take a near miracle for me to compete this Sunday at War, and I don’t know about you but I don’t believe in miracles. You create your own luck in life, and I haven’t quite produced when it matters this month.

So I’m heading back to the drawing board to make sure that next week I am back to my best and I don’t allow mistakes like tonight to happen again. It is my duty to myself and all my fans to give 100% everytime I step through the ropes and that is what I vow to do.

Alexander:I think many of your fans may feel you are being harsh on yourself….

Steel:Maybe I am, but what can I say, I am a perfectionist and I am never satisfied unless I am performing to my maximum potential. I am always looking for ways to improve and I don’t think that will ever change. Even when I was 6CW Champion I always found improvements that needed to be made…

I am far from the complete article, but I will continue to push myself until I get as close as I possibly can.

Alexander:Well good luck with that Geoff…..and if you don’t get to War then I am sure we will see you back here next week.

Steel:I’ll be here!

*The crowd can be heard cheering Steel on as he shoulders his bag once again and heads out of the far door into the parking lot.

*The scene changes one last time and Jerome Dubois is shown exiting his lockeroom, dressed in his wrestling attire, heading for the entranceway. Jack Reynolds is waiting to speak with him

Reynolds:Jerome….

Dubois:Can I help you?

Reynolds:I know you have a match right now but I just wanted to grab a quick word……two spots still open for the title match at War. You need a victory in the main event to ensure your passage….are you confident that will be the case.

Dubois:Without a shadow of a doubt….

*He smiles confidently

Dubois:I have never been more confeedent in all of my life…….not when I was in 6CW, not when I was ze greatest Internet Champion of all time…..zis here on Ascension iz ze beginning of something very special…

Reynolds:Care to tell us more?

Dubois:To be truthful, no I do not. All you need to know iz that I have friends in very high places Jack Reynolds…..and for once my supreme talents will not be overlooked. I have it on very good authority that I am looked upon as a “star” and zat makes me even more confeedent than I already am…..I will reign here on Ascension, of that I am sure…

???:You have got to be kidding me?

*The crowd cheer as Cobra walks into shot, getting in Dubois’ face

Cobra:Your going to reign here on Ascension?

Dubois:Indeed I am…

Cobra:Explain how you are going to do that Dubois with me on this roster?....I already whooped your a55 last week and any time you step in the ring with me…it will be the same result….

Dubois:Every so predictable aren’t you Cobra….interrupting me and shouting your mouth off, I do not care what you have to say…..you got lucky last week, that luck will not extend for a minute longer, I assure you…

Cobra:Whatever you say…..because I’m already going to War, which means if you want your grubby little hands on that championship, you’ve got to come through me…..we both know that isn’t possible, the audience knows that isn’t possible…

*Crowd cheer

Cobra:So I don’t care what little plan you have cooked up with the crazy b1tch that runs this show, it will get you nothing…….I came back to 6WF to prove my dominance on the pro circuit, and I came to do it the old fashioned way, with blood,guts and thunder…..I won’t allow a poisonous little rat like you to sneak in here and take what you do not deserve….

*Dubois begins to laugh

Dubois:Your foolish claims are not tricking anyone Cobra, you might be a big attraction somewhere else, but you have never been anything special in 6WF or 6CW, you are a perennial loser….and when I make it to War, I will prove it once and for all…….you might like to think you can stop me, but you have no idea what I have planned….you can tout yourself as some sort of hero to all ze people but me and you both know you are as selfeesh as zey come….believe me Cobra, when it begins, you will be powerless to prevent me from achieving my aim..now if you’ll excuse me, I have a match to win…

*Dubois barges past Cobra and they exchange one last look before Dubois exits down the hallway and Cobra shakes his head with annoyance and heads in the opposite direction.

Main event
Jerome Dubois/Cerberus vs Johnny Goldman/Lex Hart

JT:It seems like it is all going on in the backstage area….

PS:You can sense the intensity…..everyone is on tenterhooks waiting to see if they have made the championship bout….all eyes will now be firmly glued upon our main event………..the final match of the night…

JT:And if is anything like our previous contests, we are in for a treat….

The lights in the arena switch off completely and there are screams from the crowd as “Hell” echoes out and then red flames burst from the stage and the turnbuckles. Boos are very audible as the giant form of Cerberus makes his way onto the stage.

JT:Seven foot tall, three hundred pounds of maniacal beast….this is a man that the rest of the competition will be hoping does not make it to War….

PS:Cerberus is a monster, look at this guy….look what he did to Goldman last week, Cerberus is a freak of nature and he will pose a serious threat to anyone and everyone that is unfortunate enough to come in contact with him….

JT:He ran a path of destruction through 6CW last year and I am sure he will be looking to do the same here on Ascension…..Cerberus could be the difference maker…

Cerberus climbs up onto the apron and steps over the top rope into the ring. He walks around and bounces back off the ropes before glaring through the eyeholes of his mask, almost transfixed by the fire blazing from the turnbuckles.

PS:And what about this guy…..he has got some devious plots up his sleeve for sure…

“Mind Eraser” plays out as the lights dim again and the crowd begin to boo furiously for the arrival of Jerome Dubois. Dubois is wearing a Black suit vest with "Still a Phenomene" written across the back in white. Dubois then turns arounds and stretches his arms out from side to side as he looks up to the heavens as a red pyro shoots off behind him. Dubois then makes his way down the ramp with and walks up the steel steps where he wipes his feet on the apron and then steps into the ring. As Dubois enters the ring he removes his robe and climb on to the apron where he is seen wearing a white trunks with “Culture” Written on the back.

JT:Jerome Dubois is certainly more confident than I have seen him in a very long time…..he has something going on with our General Manager, of what description we have no idea….but Dubois is a master manipulator, so whatever it is cannot be good….

Dubois jumps down off the ropes and he looks at Cerberus, but declines to make any interaction with the monster as he circles the ring and warms himself up for action.

PS:Dubois has a great history in this sport…..former 6CW Champion, Tag Team Champion, 6WF Internet Champion……but can he add the AWF Championship to that resume, a win here tonight is vital if he wants to continue that quest….

Dubois and Cerberus take opposite sides of the ring and wait for their opponents. The lights then dim and “Be myself” roars out, followed by a procession of pink and green fireworks. All eyes turn towards the stage and loud boos can be heard as Lex Hart slowly strolls out onto the stage.

JT:Here is a man that already has a match this coming Sunday…..

PS:Lex Hart was hand-picked by Abe Abercorn to face off against Marshall Murdoch at War, that will be a fascinating matchup….but if Lex is victorious here tonight then he could find himself pulling double duty at the pay per view…

JT:Well Lex seems to be on a redemption mission, so I believe he would welcome the chance to prove himself twice in one night…

PS:Are you really buying this whole “change” scenario with Hart?

JT:I don’t know…..I have fell for Lex’s tricks before so needless to say I am very cautious about buying into anything, he is a great actor so time will only tell with the situation…

PS:These fans certainly aren’t buying it…

JT:They have been tricked one too many times I believe…

Lex takes a sip of water from the bottle in his hand and then pours the rest over his head before making his way down to the ring. He keeps his eyes on the floor, ignoring the jibes of the fans, before circling the ring and climbing up onto the apron.

JT:Lex knows both of these men well…..many run ins with Cerberus during his time in 6CW, it was also Genesis, Lex’s creation, that put Dubois on the shelf for almost a year…

PS:Lex certainly has a lot to answer for…..

Lex watches his opponents closely and then climbs through the ropes into the ring. The referee keeps between all three men as Cerberus moves forwards with impatience. “The Golden Rule” then echoes out and the crowd go wild….

JT:No prizes for guessing who the fan favourite is tonight…

Golden pyros erupt all along the front of the stage and chants of “Goooooooooooooollllllllddddmmmmmmaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn” break out as Johnny Goldman bursts through the curtain and raises his arm in the air. He then removes his t-shirt, cue wolf whistles, and tosses it into the crowd.

PS:Goldman is in great shape, all fired up after the actions from last week…..and he knows, just like everyone else in this match, that nothing but a victory will do…

JT:Here he comes…

Goldman gets halfway down the ramp and he looks towards the ring and sees the giant form of Cerberus glaring back at him. Goldman’s eyes fill with anger and then he begins to sprint towards the ring and slides in under the bottom rope. Cerberus makes a beeline for him but Goldman picks the big man off his feet and slams him back into the corner, driving heavy shoulder thrusts to the midsection…

PS:Goldman is exploding on Cerberus…

Goldman lands five shoulder thrusts and then backs away slightly and begins to unload with right hands to the face. The referee tries to get involved but Dubois gets there first and clotheslines Goldman from behind.

JT:Referee needs to grab ahold of this one quickly…

Lex is in the ring and he drags Dubois away from the corner and lashes hard knife edge chops to the chest of his foe, backing him onto the far ropes. Hart then grabs Dubois’ arm and looks for an irish whip…

PS:Dubois with the reversal…

Dubois reverses the whip but Lex flies back off the ropes and takes him out with a crossbody. Dubois staggers back up and Lex dropkicks him through the ropes to the outside of the ring.

JT:Lex Hart is all amped up aswell….explosive star…

Cerberus grabs Goldman by the throat and throws him into the corner before stomping a mudhole in his midsection as Lex Hart vaults over the top rope and wipes out Dubois on the outside.

PS:Looks like Goldman and Cerberus are going to be our legal men…

Cerberus grabs Goldman’s arm and he sends him flying across the ring, causing JG to slam heavily into the opposite turnbuckle. Cerberus follows across and looks for a giant bodysplash but Goldman drives both his knees up into the face of his opponent….

JT:Goldman using quick-fire instincts there……..SOLE SEARCHER!

Goldman bursts from the corner and looks to behead Cerberus with the big boot but the monster ducks and then clotheslines Goldman to the mat. Goldman gets back to his feet and Cerberus scoop slams him onto the canvass before running the ropes and returning with a legdrop…………………….1…………………..2…………..shoulder up.

PS:All the animosity between these two was started last week by Cerberus….he chokeslammed Goldman through our table for no reason other than to prove a point…..

JT:That is how Cerberus operates….he will want to draw the fury of Goldman, he loves nothing more than being involved in a physical war…

Cerberus drags Goldman to his feet and looks to lift him up into a brainbuster but Goldman swivels out and kicks Cerberus in the stomach before nailing a swinging neckbreaker……………………..1…………………2……………..shoulder up.

PS:Goldman was nigh on untouchable during his tenure in CWA….he blew all the competition out of the water, but he is going to face tougher challenges here on Ascension I believe…

Goldman drives his knee into the midsection of Cerberus and looks for an irish whip but Cerberus reverses and sends Goldman off the ropes, looking to floor him with a big boot as he comes back but Goldman ducks underneath it and charges off the opposite side, returning with a flying shoulder block that takes the big man off his feet….

JT:Goldman has real power when he gets his momentum shifting….

Goldman drags Cerberus back to his feet and lifts him into a big vertical suplex before he heads over to the corner and begins to climb the ropes. …

PS:Goldman taking a risk very early on in this matchup….

JT:FLYING ELBOW!

Goldman drives the elbow right into the heart of Cerberus as he careers from the top rope……………………..1…………………..2…………………Cerberus powers out. Goldman gets back to his feet and Lex Hart offers him a tag…

PS:Lex Hart raring to get some ring time…

Goldman looks at Hart with reluctance and then slaps his hand, giving him the tag. The crowd boo as Lex walks along the ring apron, waiting for Cerberus to stand, and then springboards into a spinning heel kick that takes his foe down….

JT:Nice move from Lex…LIONSAULT!

Lex immediately runs to the ropes and jumps on them for a lionsault, before floating back and landing with the move…………………1………………………………2……………………….shoulder up. Lex gets back to his feet and he beckons for Cerberus to stand…

PS:Lex thinks he might get a chance….FLATLINE!

Lex leaps up for the RKO but Cerberus pushes him away quickly and then drops Lex with a bicycle kick as he turns back around. Cerberus looks down at Lex with dislike and then begins to climb the ropes…

JT:For such a big guy, it is remarkable how dangerous Cerberus is from an aerial position….

Cerberus reaches the top rope and he looks down upon Lex Hart before diving off into a frogsplash, only for Hart to drive his knees up into the midsection of his opponent. Cerberus rolls away in pain and then staggers back up, allowing Lex to nail him with a backbreaker…..

PS:Lex is going to attempt to keep the big man grounded….

Hart nails the backbreaker and then bridges over the top…………………..1……………………….2…………….Cerberus kicks out. Lex gets back to his feet and he stomps down on the chest of Cerberus before heading for the corner and beginning to climb to the top….

JT:Lex is an adept high-flier…..

PS:Nothing adept about that….

Jerome Dubois rushes across the apron and he grabs Lex’s leg, dragging him down onto the apron and then dropkicks him against the ringpost.

JT:That is horrible impact…..and Dubois had no right to get involved like that….

Lex drops down to the outside and Dubois follows him, dropping heavy kicks to the back before the referee intervenes. Dubois smiles and then pulls Lex up and dumps him back into the ring..

PS:Dubois put this match right back in the favour of his own team…

Cerberus is back up and scoop slams Lex to the canvass before dropping three consecutive elbow drops to the chest. Lex begins to get back up and Cerberus sends him flying into the corner with a hard irish whip…

JT:That is serious impact….

Lex flips upside down on the top rope and then staggers back down, straight into a body press into a front slam. Cerberus then makes the tag to Jerome Dubois…

PS:Dubois’ first taste of action…

Dubois lets Lex up and then slaps hard chops to the chest before whipping him across the ring and sending him flying with a backbody drop as he comes back. Lex stumbles back to his feet and Dubois scoops him onto his shoulders before running him into a powerslam………………………1………………….2………………….shoulder up!

JT:The back of Lex Hart is taking a fair bit of punishment….

Dubois has a few words with the referee before getting back to his feet. He lets Lex stand back up and scoop slams him to the canvass before dropping an elbow to the chest…………………1………………..2……..kickout. Dubois then backs into the corner and lifts himself onto the second rope before diving off and landing a kneedrop to the forehead…

PS:Lex needs to get himself in position to make a tag, because right it is not working out too well for him….

Dubois lets Lex up and he lashes home hard chops to the chest, reddening the skin, before whipping Lex into the corner and following in with a solid clothesline. Dubois then sends Lex across to the opposite side and repeats the process…..

JT:Jerome Dubois enjoying himself….

Dubois ushers Lex out of the corner and then hits a vicious kick to the stomach and bellows “Vive La France” before flipping Lex up onto his shoulders…

PS:GARLIC BOMB!

Lex rolls down the back and drags Dubois into a pinning attempt……………………1……………………………2……………….shoulder up. They quickly scramble back to their feet and Dubois immediately lifts Lex up….

JT:AU REVOIR!

Dubois nails the sitout sideslam and nods his head as he hooks the leg………………………1………………………2……………Lex kicks out at the very last moment.

PS:I thought Lex Hart was done there, but he is showing guts in the early going….

Dubois stomps down on Lex before turning around and making the tag back to Cerberus. The giant quickly climbs back into the ring and he rags Lex up by the hair before slinging him against the turnbuckle and almost knocking him out of his boots with an uppercut.

JT:Cerberus is an absolute beast, he might just finish Lex Hart here and now…

Johnny Goldman looks slightly anxious from the outside as Cerberus drives three heavy knees into Lex’s midsection and then lifts Hart up onto the top rope. The monster climbs up as well and lands several headbutts to Lex’s face before pulling him into a front facelock…

PS:This is going to be one hell of a crash landing….SUPERPLEX!

The whole ring shakes as Cerberus pulls Lex off the top rope and drives him heavily into the canvass….he crawls over………………1

JT:Goldman sensing the severity of that situation…

The referee is quick to intervene and push Goldman back out of the ring, allowing Dubois to take over from Cerberus without a tag. Dubois drags Lex up and european uppercuts him back into the corner before lashing more knife edge chops into the chest and then he snapmares Hart down onto the canvass…Dubois struts around the ring with a smile and then runs off the ropes and comes back with a hard kick to the face…….

PS:Dubois slowly breaking Lex down….he is enjoying this…..

Dubois goes to the corner and he begins to climb the ropes towards the top. Lex is in a bad way as he slowly tries to stagger back to a vertical base and Dubois dives from on high…

JT:MISSILE….

Dubois lays out Lex with the flying dropkick and then quickly gets back and grabs ahold of Hart’s leg, attempting to twist him…

PS:Single legged boston crab….this can be a seriously dangerous maneuver…

JT:SMALL PACKAGE!

Lex manages to reach up and grab Dubois’ head, dragging him down……………….1……………………………..2…………………..shoulder up. They both begin to get back up but Dubois is fresher and pokes Hart in the eye before flipping him onto his shoulders…

PS:CULTURE SHOCK!

The crowd boo as Dubois drills Lex with the dominator powerbomb. He looks over at Goldman and dances from one foot to the other before making the cover…

JT:Lex Hart is done here…

Dubois spits in anger at Goldman and the fan favourite bursts with anger, pushing the referee aside and landing a right hand that sends Dubois over the top rope to the apron.

Dubois lays sprawled on the apron as Cerberus clambers into the ring and looks for a big boot on Goldman but JG ducks the blow and then clotheslines himself and the monster over the top rope to the outside. Cerberus lands on his feet and staggers backwards, allowing Goldman to sprint at him….

PS:SOLE SEARCHER!

The crowd roar as Goldman big boots Cerberus in the chest, sending him crashing back and over the security railing into the front row. Jerome Dubois is back in the ring and he quickly crawls ontop of Lex Hart…

JT:Too much time has elapsed…

PS:Dubois has this all susses out………..FRENCH CONNECTION!

Dubois runs across the ring and dives into the bone-crunching spear but Lex drop toe holds him at the last possible moment and quickly turns him over…

JT:Sharp…

Dubois kicks out with both feet and catches Hart in the face, sending him flying backwards and allowing Goldman to slap his back and initiate the tag…

PS:Here comes Goldman!

Crowd:GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN! X7

Goldman storms into the ring immediately and meets Dubois head on with furious right hands, before whipping him across the ring and sending him soaring with a backdrop as he returns. Dubois gets back up and holds his hands up in pleading but Goldman kicks him in the stomach and whips him into the corner…

JT:Goldman has been waiting all night for his chance to take that step towards War…

Dubois slams into the turnbuckle and then staggers back out into a thunderous clothesline. Dubois gets back to his feet and Goldman lays him out with a second clothesline before welcoming him back to his feet for a third time…

PS:Goldman looking to finish it….GOLD RUSH!

Goldman flips Dubois up onto his shoulders for the powerbomb but the Frenchmen jumps out of the back and quickly runs off the ropes…

JT:WHAT A SPINEBUSTER!

Dubois runs back but is powerless to stop the spinning spinebuster from Johnny Goldman………………………1………………………………….2…………………..kickout from Dubois.

PS:The crowd are witnessing the absolute best of Johnny Goldman right now…..when he hits peak, he is damn sure hard to stop…

Goldman gets back up to his feet and he pulls Dubois up to a vertical base before lifting him up and drilling him with a suplex. Goldman then heads for the corner and climbs to the top rope…

JT:Goldman gonna take to the skies again….

Dubois is able to make it back to his feet before Goldman can fly and he lands with a heavy right hand that puts Goldman on the seat of his pants. Dubois then climbs up onto the top rope and he looks to drag Goldman into a superplex….

PS:Goldman showing his brawling capabilities…

Goldman ploughs heavy uppercuts into the midsection of Dubois and then shoves him hard from the top, causing Dubois to land awkwardly on his back. Goldman then regains his footing on the top of the turnbuckle and waits for Dubois to rise…

Both superstars scramble back to their feet and Goldman drives for a knee to the stomach but Dubois catches his leg in midair and spins him around before kicking him in the stomach…

Dubois looks for the “go flasher” but Goldman floats over the back before execution point and connects with a chopblock to the back of Dubois’ knee….

JT:ANKLELOCK!

PS:Goldman is ruthless in a submission setting…..Dubois is in more than trouble here…

Dubois tries to scramble for the ropes quickly but Goldman drags him back into the middle and bends his ankle at an unnatural angle. Jerome screams in agony and his hand twitches on the verge of tapping out…

JT:Twenty points are imminent for Johnny Goldman….he is going to War….

PS:Dubois’ ankle is about to break….no partnership with Miss Jessica can save him from this….

Dubois tries one more time to claw his way across the ring but Goldman’s grip is tight and he drags Dubois back to the centre of the ring and twists the ankle so badly that it is almost facing in the opposite direction…

PS:I’m waiting to hear that snap…..i’ve seen it happen before….

JT:Dubois is about to tap….

The hand comes down to tap out as Cerberus returns to the ring. The monster seizes Goldman around the throat and lifts him high into the air and drills him with a ferocious chokeslam, drawing huge boos from the crowd.

PS:Cerberus saving this match…taking out Goldman again…

JT:It’s becoming a habit…

Cerberus backs away from the ring and climbs out onto the apron. Jerome Dubois is slowly loosening the laces on his boot and checking on his ankle as Goldman lays unconscious on the mat…

PS:Dubois’ ankle may be broken here…………..

JT:It could very well be…he was put under intense pressure and your ankle is not meant to twist that way…

Dubois struggles to put weight on his foot and he uses the ropes to stagger up and slaps Cerberus’ arm, initiating another tag. Cerberus gets into the ring quickly and he takes Johnny Goldman by the head and drags him up….

PS:Goldman is out of it here….he can’t stop Cerberus…

JT:Can anyone?

Cerberus wraps both his hands around the throat of Goldman and lifts him off his feet, choking him to the count of four. He then drops his foe onto his feet again and whips him off the ropes, drilling him with a huge sideslam on the comeback………………………..1………………………….2…………………….Goldman gets his shoulder up.

PS:I think we might need medics out here….Dubois is struggling…

Dubois is sat on the apron, holding his ankle in seeming agony. In the ring, Cerberus draws his finger across his throat and then pulls Goldman up….

JT:Johnny Goldman could be about to “Burn in hell”….

Cerberus flips Goldman up into the air for the black tiger bomb but Lex Hart runs in on the blindside and drags Goldman back down to the canvass…

PS:Lex showing his team skills….well I never…

Cerberus quickly whirls around and he looks for a bicycle kick but Lex pushes Goldman aside and takes the full brunt of the boot, sending him through the ropes to the outside….

JT:And now he’s sacrificing himself……SOLE SEARCHER!

The crowd roar as Goldman uses the distraction to run off the opposite ropes and then comes back with his patented big boot to the face of the monster……..1

Goldman looks a little dismayed as he stares at Cerberus’ foot on the ropes and then he pulls himself back to his feet. The crowd are chanting JG’s name and willing him to finish the contest…

PS:Goldman needs to stop dallying here and get this taken care of…..

JT:He’s setting the monster up………..GOLD RUSH!

Cerberus swipes Goldman’s legs at the last moment and then slingshots him into the corner. JG’s head collides with the ringpost and he staggers back around into Cerberus’ hand clasped around his throat…

PS:What goes up, must come….

Goldman jumps out of the side of the attempted chokeslam and then kicks Cerberus in the stomach, scoring with a double armed DDT………………………..1……………………………………..2…………………………..Cerberus powers out.

JT:What does it take to keep this man down….incredible action….

Goldman reaches his vertical base once again and he breathes deeply before seizing Cerberus by the head and placing him in position…

PS:Goldman is not to be denied with the powerbomb attempted….

Cerberus battles to keep his feet grounded and then succeeds in countering with a backdrop. Goldman is relentless and already on his way back up as Cerberus spins around and looks for a giant kick to the head….

JT:He caught his foot…..anklelock…

The crowd roar as Goldman catches Cerberus’ boot and immediately twists him over into the submission…..the referee asks the monster if he wants to quit but Cerberus yells “no” and drags his huge frame towards the ropes….

PS:Can you imagine if Goldman got the submission?

JT:I don’t know if Cerberus has a breaking point….

Cerberus reaches out to lock his hand around the bottom rope but Goldman drags him back towards the middle, so that he can apply more pressure. Cerberus shakes his head but is visibly in pain as he manages to slam his elbow down into the canvass and roll forwards…

PS:Goldman going for a ride…

Goldman staggers forwards into the opposition corner and Dubois has managed to stumble up, where he subsequently grabs JG’s head and guillotines him across the top rope. Goldman staggers back around and Cerberus scoops him onto his shoulders…

JT:F-5 and you can call it a night…

Cerberus drills Goldman and hooks both legs…

The referee’s hand is just coming down for the three count when Lex slingshots himself over the top rope and planchas across the pinfall, breaking it up before completion. Lex rolls right back onto his feet and dropkicks Dubois off the apron, causing the Frenchmen to land badly on his already injured ankle…

JT:Lex coming to the rescue of his team once again….he doesn’t not want to be defeated here tonight…

The referee is quickly onto the scene and he begins to back Hart away and forces him to leave the ring. Cerberus is already getting back to his feet and he glares at Lex before drawing his finger across his throat…

JT:Cerberus is not happy about what just went down….he wants Lex to watch him finish Goldman now…..

Cerberus grabs Goldman by the head and hauls him up into position before flipping him up onto his shoulders. He spins JG around, demonstrating his strength and then…

PS:BURN IN….

JT:SPEAR…..SPEAR…..SPEAR!

Goldman slips down at the very last moment and runs off the ropes, returning with a rib-crushing spear as Cerberus turns around. Both men are motionless on the canvass as Lex urges Goldman to find strength to make the tag…

PS:Both men are down….both men need a tag…

JT:And Lex Hart is itching to get back involved….Jerome Dubois is having difficulty getting back onto the apron…

Dubois hobbles on the outside and then drags himself up onto the apron as Cerberus edges towards him. Goldman is visibly tired and sweat trickles from his forehead as he summons the strength to pull himself across the canvass and slap the outstretched arm of Lex Hart…

JT:Tag made…

PS:Dubois in in too…

Lex is full of energy as he bursts into the ring and floors Dubois with a clothesline. Dubois staggers back up and Lex lifts him into an inverted atomic drop before clotheslining him down again. Dubois gets up for a third time and Lex knees him in the stomach before drilling him with a vertical suplex……Hart swivels his hips and drags Dubois up again before connecting with a second suplex….

JT:Hart thinking three amigos right now….and he got it!

There are some audible cheers from the crowd as Lex pulls Dubois up for a third time and successfully hits the hat-trick of suplexes. Lex looks at Dubois for a moment and then runs off the ropes….

PS:ASAI MOONSAULT!

Lex floats back into the moonsault and covers…………………..1…………………………….2…………………….Dubois barely gets his shoulder up!

JT:Hart is bang up for this…..he wants that victory and he can sense it….

Lex gets back to his feet and sizes up the scene in front of him. Dubois is trying to stand but his right ankle is causing him a lot of problems. Lex grabs ahold of the injured appendage and lifts it off the ground before slamming it, hard, into the canvass…

PS:Hart going back to work on the ankle now….

Lex drops three hard elbows to the ankle and then jumps up and stomps on it with both feet. Dubois is writhing in agony as Lex drags him into the middle of the ring and twists around, applying a standing leglock….

JT:Dubois is experiencing excruciating pain right now….

Dubois is slamming his elbows into the mat as Lex cranks up the pressure and seems to be enjoying himself. Dubois reaches back for the ropes, but finds them too far away…

PS:This is the cold,calculating side of Lex Hart….he is the master of technical wrestling and you are seeing why right now…

Lex releases the hold and stomps down on the ankle twice more before grabbing both of Dubois’ legs and locking his own legs in place…

JT:Lex is going figure four….

Lex twists around and is about to sit down into the submission when Cerberus breaks back into the ring and he seizes Lex around the throat….

PS:Choke….GOLDMAN!

The crowd cheer as Johnny Goldman rushes back into the ring and he collides with Cerberus, sending both men staggering back into the ropes and through to the outside. They trade vicious blows on the outside of the ring and Goldman kicks Cerberus in the stomach before slamming his head against the announce table…

JT:This one has descended, Goldman looking for his revenge from last week…

The referee has his head out of the ropes and is ordering Cerberus and Goldman to stop, but they pay no attention. In the ring, Lex is beckoning for Dubois to stand up….

PS:Lex has Dubois in the crosshairs…..FLATLINE!

*Crowd boo in disgust…..

JT:Cmon referee….

Lex jumps up to take out Dubois with the RKO as Dubs drops to his knees and scores with a brutal low blow, that leaves both men on the deck. On the outside, Goldman looks to irish whip Cerberus into the steel steps but Cerberus reverses the whip and sends JG towards the steel…

PS:Goldman dodged that….OH MY!

Goldman gets his foot up and blocks himself from hitting the steps. He then turns quickly and sidesteps, sending the onrushing Cerberus head-first into the steel. The crowd cheer as Goldman drags Cerberus up and pulls him towards the announce table…

JT:Payback is a b1tch, Paul…

PS:I tell my wife the same thing every day………………

JT:GOLD….

Goldman looks for the powerbomb but Cerberus counters with a backdrop, causing JG to land on the concrete floor. He looks in a lot of pain as Cerberus wastes no time in grabbing ahold of his head and dragging him back up…..BOOM!

PS:Damn!

Crowd:Holy (beep) x7

JT:Forget it…

Cerberus runs Goldman forward and throws him, back-first, right through the security railing. Goldman is motionless in the front row of the crowd as Cerberus stands and stares at him….

PS:Cerberus just demolished Goldman once again….that is crazy carnage….

In the ring, Lex is still feeling the effects of the low-blow as Dubois stumbles up to his feet and grabs his legs….

JT:Dubois has not much left in the tank….but he might just get Lex over here…

The crowd boo as Dubois, on unsteady legs, manages to get his foot in place and then succeeds in twisting Lex over onto his stomach, applying the sharpshooter…

Ding ding ding

PS:What….

JT:Wait just a damn minute here…

The crowd are booing furiously as “Mind Eraser” plays out and the referee raises Jerome Dubois’ hand up in the air. Cerberus is glaring from ringside as medics come down once again to check on the unconscious form of Johnny Goldman. In the ring, Lex Hart is on his knees looking at the official and the triumphant Dubois…

JT:This has to be a mistake….or a goddamn joke……………Lex didn’t tap out there….

PS:Referee called an end to the match…why would he do that if Lex didn’t tap, Jeff?

JT:You watched the same thing I did….Lex did not tap out…….this stinks…something is not right here….

Lex makes a rush forwards as Dubois rolls out of the ring and hobbles into the aisleway with a smirk on his face. Lex grabs the referee by the front of his shirt and pushes him into the corner and begins to berate him…

JT:I don’t blame Lex Hart one bit….he has been screwed here tonight………what the hell is happening….

PS:Dubois won the match…..that is what is happening….twenty points….

JT:This is disgraceful…..Lex didn’t tap, Dubois deserves no points…..oh I should have known…

Dubois reaches the top of the ramp and is smiling down at Lex as Miss Jessica struts out to stand by Dubs’ side. Huge chants of “you suck” roar out from the crowd as Jessica smirks and raises the microphone to her lips.

Jessica:Like let’s totally have some calm here….

*The boos grow louder

Jessica:You see Lexy….I offered you a chance to be back with me, like old times, and you turned me down……you missed out…..

*She grins maliciously as Lex stares up at her with cold fury

Jessica:Nobody rejects me……and over time Lexy I am going to make you so totally regret your decision…..by time I am done, you will have no uber choice but to show everybody what the real Lex Hart looks like…

JT:This is sick…..Jessica is trying to manipulate Lex into relapsing into his old ways….

Jessica:Dubby here knows what is good for him…..and that is why he is going to War this Sunday to challenge for the AWF Championship….and why you are nothing but Abe Abercorn’s lapdog for a fight you like can’t win at all….

*Lex is seething with anger

Jessica:Your loss….because you could have had it all…

*She bites her finger seductively…

Jessica:And instead….you will have nothing….this is my show, my power and my influence…I am going to make your life a living hell Lexy until you do exactly what I want….

*Lex runs his hands through his hair and looks on the verge of snapping

Jessica:You can feel it, can’t you baby….you want to lash out….you want revenge….I know you too well…..this feeling inside of you is only going to get so much worse….

*She laughs to herself

PS:Jessica is playing a very harsh game…..

JT:And as General Manager, who can stop her?

Jessica:But besides all that….let’s take one last look at this month’s leaderboard…

*Johnny Goldman is sat up in the crowd and looking groggy as medics check him over. Cerberus looks at him and then moves away as all eyes move to the big screen.

*Furious boos from the crowd as Dubois mockingly bows…

Jessica:Will compete for the honour of becoming the first ever AWF Champion….this is going to be like so totally a mega match……

JT:There you have it folks………….Jimmy Phillips, Cobra, Cerberus and Dubois….the four men that will meet this Sunday………..only one is walking away from War as the first ever AWF Champion…what a match that is going to be…

Jessica:Don’t feel too bad Lexy….there is always next month…

*She smiles vindictively as her and Dubois slowly back towards the entranceway. Lex is on one knee and looks ready to explode. The official in the ring tries to edge past him but suddenly Hart bursts onto his feet and flattens the referee with an RKO. Miss Jessica screams with pleasure from the stage as Hart stares at her with cold fury

PS:Lex Hart is a man being pushed towards the brink….how much of this can he take?

JT:He is not in a great state of mind…..this Sunday at War he must battle Marshall Murdoch and I am not sure Lex is ready for that….

PS:Miss Jessica has Lex exactly where she wants him….this is going to get interesting….

JT:Talking of interesting….our main talking point has to be, the match this Sunday at War….Phillips, Cobra, Cerberus and Dubois….who is walking away as champion?....that is a huge array of talent…

PS:Smart money on Cobra….but Phillips is firing right now….

JT:Dubois’ involvement with Jessica makes him a shoe-in, and Cerberus is a seven foot monster of destruction….split it however you want, this is nigh on impossible to call….all I know is, it’s gonna be a great one….

PS:That’s this Sunday though….for now we are out of time…what a night, so many twists and turns….
