Where is the link to this...? it was posted yesterday with no further info. And doesn't come up with anything on google.
Ospreys have Baldwin, recovering, and Dwyer benching. do the Ospreys need an import to get us through three weeks of LV=...?
No we don't. Academy or premiership call ups will do fine.

Are the Ospreys allowed to use Prem front row players in competitions now, a few years ago they had to cancel matches because of it

There are some technicalities. If there are no players of sufficient experience then any governing body would rather see a game postponed than a young lad ruin his career with a neck/back injury from scrummaging at a level he was unprepared for.

Don't temporary signings have to be for a minimum of three months?maestegmafia wrote:Where is the link to this...? it was posted yesterday with no further info. And doesn't come up with anything on google.

Or is that a European ruling or something?
I'm reminded of the Januarie case which caused (yet another) Os/Tigers squall.

Ospreys face Leinster, Edinburgh and Cardiff in the Rabo while their Welsh players are either in Poland or on AI duty.
Anyway perhaps Andrew Hore the coach can emulate Andrew Hore the hooker?

Not the kind of Hooker Hoar has the physique for mimicking...!LondonTiger wrote:Ospreys face Leinster, Edinburgh and Cardiff in the Rabo while their Welsh players are either in Poland or on AI duty.

Anyhow, despite the fixtures we have the depth to cover, despite Hibbards' awesome form this season, Baldwin is no slouch. The only reason we would need more is if Baldwin doesn't recover. Still rather dip into the Premiership clubs rather than buy in a cheap Overseas Player.

Re: OSPREYS TO SIGN NZ HOOKER
Sheesh didn't think my comment was that bad to get deleted !! fair play, i think hooking resources are fairly thin on the ground at the moment in the NH, bath had to go for a long term injured and controversial brett sharman in order to find a replacement for injured rob webber perhaps the O's hand was forced.

You're hard to keep up with Mae!
So having an opinion on Welsh rugby if your're not fully Welsh (I'm only part) is now regarded as trolling!

Re: OSPREYS TO SIGN NZ HOOKER
And still no sign of our elusive Kiwi Hooker Link.
Whilst searching, I did find an interesting piece on currently injured Scott Baldwin from June. Worth a read. He spent a spell in Italy near milan with an Ospreys partner club.
Well worth checking out:-

Re: OSPREYS TO SIGN NZ HOOKER
On the Os forum this was mentioned a couple of days ago, the information came off the Gwlad forum again no names were mentioned, as for Scott Baldwin he had a niggle in his shoulder before the Ulster game could have been even before the season commenced,we definately need an experienced hooker brought in, the man in reserve is a soldier being allowed out in our time of need
