Personally, I'd have Nieto, Joubert, Garvey, Salvi and Goneva all starting

Garvey? He doesn't play for Leicester yet. Wink

Not bad choices though Bathite. Just being nice to the Quins guys. Very Happy Easter vs Joubert is a tough one. Nieto is getting a little old now.

You would leave out Wood or Croft? Fair enough.

There's not that much bite in the Northampton Tigers wingers.

I really like their frontrow though.

Who do you think would win?

Big fan of Nieto, love my old school tight heads. Just want them to walk from scrum to scrum a la Julian White, everything else is a bonus! There's zero bite in a Botha / Borthwick second row, so you'd need Garvey or Kohn in there. I'd have Salvi over Wood at 7, easy decision for me. There's only one Saints winger and he's a cracking little player, just not a 'big name' Him and Goneva would be a good combo.

Midlands team would win it for me by quite a bit, as you've got the combination of the two nastiest, most effective packs. London back three a bit more dangerous, but prefer the Tigers midfield and I'm delighted Allen is in the squad. Floor - Allen - Tuilagi is the way forward for me.

Ashton and Monye would destroy Thompstone and Artemyev. Artemyev is an awful defender!

stnick88 can you suggest better wingers Leicester and Saints could use?

I know Bathite said Goneva but I can't say I am hugely convinced.

I agree the Saraquins could do with a bit more grunt in the 2nd row but I don't think either Quins or Sarries have the ideal player to give that.

I might change the sides a bit to go with your recommendations.

Myles Benjamin. Move Foden to the wing to accomodate Murphy. Tait is another option.

Is also have Crane over Waldrom and either Castro or Mujarti over PDJ.

Wow Sam. How could I forget Castro and Mujati!

I don't think it would be fair to put those two in.

Only starting change i'd have is Johnston in for Nieto. And I think Saracens have an impressive young lock who could cover on the bench better then Robson, or else use Quins Mathews.

In real life I would love it if Quins signed Brown, he'd be an immense fit for the Quins backrow.

Yeah, and they are really good players that might not make the 22! for all the flack Sarries get, they can put forward an all EQ 23 that looks like this

Goode
Ashton
Tomkins
Barritt
Strettle
Hodgson
Wigglesworth
Joubert
Saull
Fraser
Borthwick
Botha
Stevens
George
Vunipola

Saunders, Spurling, Du Plessis, Kruis, Wray, Spencer, Farrell, Short

Which is very impressive

Was going to put something like this as a whole topic as some people still think were packed to the eyeball with saffers and assorted others.

if fact take out wiggy and george and that is nearly our strongest side, with them on the bench at least
