Sale Sharks vs London Irish Thread, Kick off 8pm

London Irish
1. Max Lahiff, 2. Scott Lawson, 3. Halani Aulika, 4. Bryn Evans, 5. Matt Garvey, 6. Declan Danaher (Captain); 7. Jamie Gibson, 8. Chris Hala’ufia, 9. Darren Allinson, 10. Ian Humphreys, 11. Marland Yarde, 12. Sailosi Tagicakibau, 13. Guy Armitage, 14. Topsy Ojo, 15. Anthony Watson
Replacements: 16. Brian Blaney, 17. Cai Griffiths, 18. Leo Halavatau, 19. George Skivington, 20. Ofisa Treviranus, 21. Steven Shingler, 22. Shane Geraghty, 23. Jack Moates
Looks like this could shape up to be a decent game. Not a true Sale fan myself but I've been following Richie Gray and now Cameron Shepherd! He was a brilliant player for the Western Force and I really hope he can emulate some of that talent at Sale. Not to get ahead of myself but i think Sales woes may be about to diminish slightly whilst the Autumn internationals are on going.
London Irish's side look fairly decent to me, but I'm sure any LI fans will know a hell of a lot more than I do. Backline looks pretty competitive, yup should be a good 'un!

Should be a cracker, my heart wants Irish but there maybe a reaction from the Sharks players with everything that's gone/going on - all so much about the top 2 inches.
Irish may struggle in the centre, however I'm really hoping Geraghty(?) gets a run out.

Great to see Watson get a go at full back. He looked electric for the England under 20s last season.

I know I've banged on about it, but that Sale backline looks so pedestrian!

Come on Irish! That Sale side looks so bad, it really needs to get a humping.

So Sale just 4 table points behind London Irish & London Welsh - who'd have thunk it?

Radio commentators are saying that London Irish are playing a bit like Sale.
It's 15-6 right now and a Cipriani dummy almost took Sale through the Irish defence.
Sale have an edge in the scrum but both sides are giving away penalties.

Cipriani just slipped while taking a relatively simple penalty and his kick has missed wide.
13 minutes to go.

It was 15-9, but Cipriani had a kick from the same position as his last miss, and this time he has slotted it.
18-9 to Sale with 4 minutes left.

Sale win another penalty which Cips also gets.
21-9
Only moments left now, so that looks like the win and Irish don't get a bonus point. 50 seconds left with Sale pressing on the opposition line.

Sale were due a performance, even when Tigers put them away up North their were signs that Sale were playing some good stuff. It was only a matter of time before they actually won a league game, they'd already beaten Cardiff in Europe.
