Gaff, for someone who like me watched from the late 80s, your favourite PPV is MITB 2011?

Yeah, I never thought I'd enjoy a PPV like that ever again, was shocked that the WWE would produce something so good and so many results went to guys I really liked

The whole CM Punk story was immense, Cena played his part excellently, the crowd was one of the best I've heard too, the match, the aftermath, it was all top quality

Christian winning the World Title from Randy Orton, I thought their rivalry was potentially rivalry of the year and the psychology used to get Orton to snap to lose the title to Christian was very fitting

D-B winning the MitB was awesome

For me Money in the Bank 2011 will always mark missed opportunities, from that point on they messed up the Punk angle, Sheamus' push was stalled before being reignited, Mark Henry's push was right before ending oddly (down to injury more than anything else) and Bryan was buried for months after winning Money in the Bank.

At the time the show was great with probably the best Money in the Bank match ever in it and the best world title match in years, but the aftermath of the show puts a sour taste in my mouth in hindsight.

You can't look at something and look what might have been after it, that's not a true reflection of the show, surely the true reflection is how the show went at the time.

We could pick the bones apart of every PPV if we looked at the aftermath and what went on in the months after

I know what you mean, I enjoyed Money in the Bank a lot at the time.

However I think it's impossible to judge it in isolation and I think the aftermath of the pay-per-view for me ruins the show when looking back. I suppose it depends whether the question is asking what was the best PPV at the time of watching, and I agree Money in the Bank 2011 has to be up there, but looking back I can't help but feel aggrieved that WWE put on this excellent PPV but then booked it so obviously poorly afterwards.

That has to be one of my worst. 60 minute snoozefest. One of those matches you couldnt watch twice.
