headhunting wrestlers
no, its not a racist islanders gimmick change but a hypothetical question.
If you were starting a new federation to compete with the wwe and tna, and could take 5 superstars from each organisation and 2 divas/ knockouts, who would you take and why?
Who would be your top tier of the ten you take and what feuds would you do?

Re: headhunting wrestlers
The Undertaker - Total legend in the industry and respected by everyone.
John Cena - Hard worker and a merchandise selling machine.
Randy Orton - Versatile all-rounder and still young.
CM Punk - Best all rounder in the business. Criminally under-utilised by WWE.
Bryan Danielson - Best wrestler in the world.
AJ Styles - Best wrestler on TNA roster.
Samoa Joe - Could have cracking feuds with anyone.
Kurt Angle - Possibly the best wrestler ever to lace them up. Only if he was clean.
Jeff Hardy - Popular, can get it done in the ring and would shift a tonne of merchandise. Same condition as Angle though, only if he was clean.
Bobby Roode - Main event waiting to happen.
Beth Phoenix & Awesome Kong - Best female workers in US mainstream. Would have hard hitting, realistic feuds.
Gotta head off just now so can't expand on that at the moment!

Re: headhunting wrestlers
Great thread Hobo. Really got my thinking.
WWE:
CM Punk - My favourite wrestler of all time, quite a statement I know but this guy has it all. He has immense in ring talent and is brilliant on the mic. Would put on a great match whoever he was facing.
John Cena - Ok, the guys in ring ability isn't the best but I put that down to the way that the WWE have booked him. He is a selling machine when it comes to merchandise and would have the fans rolling in.
Drew McIntyre - Not a huge name across the world but I rate the guy and have been wishing the WWE would use him better. Good in ring ability and still young.
Bryan Danielson - Fantastic wrestler and I'd have my Fed giving great technical shows. He'd steal the show every night.
Cody Rhodes - Been really impressed with him recently and would make a great heel. Good on the mic and good wrestling ability.
TNA:
AJ Styles - Another outstanding wrestling and a fan favourite.
Jeff Hardy - Another huge fan favourite. His in ring ability and heart have never been questioned but would only sign him if he was clean.
Matt Morgan - One of TNA's most under used wrestlers. Massive guy who would be great as a heel or face.
Robert Roode - Great in the ring and on the mic. He could be huge and has main even screaming from him.
Samoa Joe - Fantastic movement for a big guy, he'd be another that would put on a show stealer every night.
Divas:
Awesome Kong - One of the best female wrestlers ever IMO. Unbelievable talent.
Gail Kim - Her matches with Kong proved how good she was in the ring, really badly under used in the WWE. I'd look to ignite her feud with Kong.

Re: headhunting wrestlers

Wwe:
cm punk
cena
ziggler
sheamus
barrett
kong
gail kim
tna:
styles
daniels
joe
mcmg
i will post reasons later but I would say that my list would be very different if you could guarantee a wrestler getting through health checks (angle and wolfe to name two who would make my list)

Re: headhunting wrestlers
Great topic Hobo.
From the WWE:
John Cena - Like him or loathe him, he gets a reaction and he is the biggest star in wrestling right now.
CM Punk - Personal favourite and brilliant in all areas. Very effective heel, should be main eventing PPV's rather than carrying the undercard.
Jack Swagger - I really like his style, and I think he may stay at the top for some time.
Kane - Everyone loves a monster and he's my favourite...
Zack Ryder - Cos' I'd actually put him on TV! His youtube show cracks me up.
TNA
Kurt Angle - I wish he was still in the WWE, great performer, one of the best.
Mr Anderson - Again, I wish he hadn't blown it in the WWE; nonetheless he has great charisma as heel or face.
AJ Styles - Easily the best wrestler TNA had pre-Hogan.
Jeff Hardy - Minus his troubles, he is (was) so ridiculously over that he deserved to reach the top.
Robert Roode - He is a great performer in tag teams or when solo.
Women/Divas
Kong and Beth Phoenix - as everyone else said/will say. They are the best performers. I approached it from that angle rather than for their pant-stretching qualities.
