Apparently Nadal resumed training today. Admittedly this sight may not look that pretty to some... more like scary! Ha ha!

A 'clown' whose critically revered thread 'Rafael Nadal - A Breakthrough' received the following comments...
'I quite enjoyed it' (emancipator)
'This is...genius' (HM Murdoch)
'A good read' (Jeremy_Kyle)
'SH sense of humour was missed for quite some time' (invisiblecoolers)
You may not agree with all our opinions, It Must Be Love, just as we agree with little of yours - but you cannot possibly deny that we are a Box Office attraction and an extremely good thing for these boards. We welcome your comments - discussion is always healthy - but why call for our banning when we are merely bringing up the very legitimate question of which slams carry greater weight and value?

Why stop with hawkeye - I am sure pot noodle could help her develop a sense of humour albeit not to everyone's taste lol

There's a piece in the Daily Mail that shows Rafa doing some serves and a bit of light movement. Long way to go, but this is great news and leaves me more optimistic of a Melbourne return.

You're more entertaining than Jersey at-least.

Do you actually like the sport of tennis?
Or do you just like Nadal?

Clearly you don't read the forum much, or you would be aware of IMBL's contributions.
Feel free to contribute yourself at some point, if you consider yourself capable.

Thankyou, It Must Be Love, and let us now put this little dispute behind us for the good of the boards.
'We' are the original Main Event Lads - a collective of impartial investigative sports journalists who currently post under the banner of Spaghetti Hans.
We have returned to the boards after a long absence, and, if we may be forgiven for blowing our own trumpet, have made quite the splash already. We are proud to announce that our article, 'Rafael Nadal - A Breakthrough' has become the most viewed article (with fewer than 10 comments) in this quarter (highest since August). A stunning achievement when you consider that the tennis season is over, and so many casual-posters may not currently be frequenting the boards.
It points to 2 irrefutable facts...
1) That upon reading our articles, viewers are rendered speechless by our prose and unable to argue with the points put forward.
2) That they return time and time again to re-read the articles.
Thankyou all.
But enough about us - I'm sure Julius H Marx would want to remind us all that this is an article foremost about the return of Rafael Nadal - an event that we must all take incredibly seriously for obvious reasons. Dark days are ahead.

Not sure if you're asking me, but I'll answer anyway. I like tennis and I like Nadal. I love how competetive he is. Puts absolutely everything into every point, and his desire to win is a treat to watch. I play loads of sports myself and am very competetive, so I really love to watch a top sportsman like him throw every sinue into it week in week out.
If you don't like his game style fair enough, it's not for everyone. But you won't get me agreeing that Rafa is in any way bad for tennis. He's box office and I can't wait to have him back.

The total madness of anyone on this forum who enters into any form of dialogue with this nutter is beyond me. Your all knowledgeable and intelligent posters ... Mark my words he will do what he did on 606 and bring everyone down to his level. He isn´t even funny a troll and a loon. Nadal isn´t even back yet I just ask you to guess what he will be like when he is.

Come now Haddie - this is not the place for personal slights. Consider yourself forgiven but not forgotten.
Danny - you argue your point well.
Never let it be said that we don't see the skill in Nadal - there is no-one on tour, nay in history, who can match him in the dark arts of counter-punching tennis. He has a Masonic prowess over Roland Garros, and no man has worked harder, or done more, to undermine the legacy of Roger Federer.
And you're right - Federer v Nadal is the match we look forward to the most

Counter punching is a dark art?
Federer v Nadal is good vs evil?
Right, that's enough for me. I'm not 15 anymore (sadly) so this is not my kind of discussion. This is where I check out of the conversation.

Oh noble brothers Spaghetti-Hans (The artists formerly known as Main Event Lads) let not the whingeing and whining of the ingratiates from amongst the minions deter you from the matter at hand.
For indeed it is an honourable yet perilous path that you have chosen. Dark days may be ahead: I too feel it in the winds.
However, take courage oh brave one.
I bring glad tidings...
The Great One, the wielder of the liquid whip, has awoken from his slumber. He shall venture forth with a wrath unmatched in the annals of history. All shall crumble before him; The (not-so-young-anymore) Bull, The Mercurial (oft disguised, impersonating) Djoker (aka Screech) and even the Muzza (yes, even the Muzza) shall surrender before him.
It is not upon us except that we remain steadfast.
Victory is assured.. what has been fortold shall come to pass.
