Great Britain beat Poland and eye potential promotion
Great Britain beat Poland 3-2 in Kiev to set-up a potential promotion to the top flight in the World Championships.
GB now need hosts Ukraine to beat Kazakstan by no more than three goals later on Saturday.
Filip Drzewiecki gave Poland the lead but two goals in 40 seconds from Jonathan Weaver and Russ Cowley turned the game around.
Krystian Dziubinski levelled before Ben O'Connor scored a dramatic powerplay winner with seven minutes remaining.
A gold medal for Great Britain in this Division 1B event would bring promotion to next year's elite division and a chance to play the top nations in the world, such as Canada, Sweden, USA, Finland and Czech Republic.

Unlucky for GB, to just miss out like that.
A question.
Is Team GB, GB and NI. In otherwords, does Team GB include Northern Ireland based players or do they play for Ireland? Or is that a loaded question?
(Ireland, who play in a lower division didnt fare too well in the Worlds, by the way.)
P.S. - Cant believe the 'Elite Division' World Championships wont be shown on TV, dont Eurosport usually cover them, in Ire/UK?
