We're down to 22 cars for next season HRT are gone
The FIA has announced the full 2013 Formula 1 World Championship entry list, reduced to 22 cars following the demise of HRT.
Although several driver names are still 'tba' on the list - believed to be because teams have yet to allocate numbers to each driver - the only remaining vacancies are at Lotus, which is yet to confirm that Romain Grosjean will stay, Force India, Caterham and Marussia.
Paul di Resta is expected to keep one Force India drive, while Marussia will retain Timo Glock and is expected to add Max Chilton.
Sauber has signed Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez. Caterham has one vacancy but has confirmed Charles Pic. Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne stay on at Toro Rosso.

Can't say I'm sorry to see them go. I just hope Marussia and Caterham can make big leaps in development and start mixing it up with Toro Rosso and Williams. I'd hate for either to become the "new HRT".
Funny, I never noticed until now that there is no number 13 car. Driver / team superstition or tradition?

They used it until the 1920's until a team had 2 fatal incidents inside a year at the same team so dropped it altogether. Although has been used 3 times since then but neither were very successful 2 didn't qualify and 1 retired but finished 11th
Also what your notice is that a Japanese driver will never use the no.4

I can't see Marussia making a step forward after losing that battle with Caterham. Lost a whole heap of money and I'm sure there will be alot of negativity surrounding that team over the winter amongst it's workforce.
Shame really because Caterham have shown nothing in terms of performance gain over the last two years with a bigger budget. I'm just glad Karthikeyan is gone, simply an embarrasing driver who simply can't understand what a mirror is used for.

Good point He was always a bit of a strange one though Sato and that wasn't a very good year for Takuma until near the end of season

On the losing of another team Bernie (Ecclestone) the warmer seemed happy enough claiming there are too many teams as it is. He just changes like the wind and was saying more teams were needed two or three years ago when the new teams came into being around that time. Seems obvious Bernie doesn't know what he is talking about.
