Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
He looked really good in spits CJ, always good to take a few hidings as a young prop.
Evans looked like he was shot till the last few games, wonder how long he can go for?? Quins will have to manage him well

Rumours we are in for Cips next season. Nev will be ok as long as he gets to rest, injuries screwed us last season

He's not a full season player anymore that's for sure. I thought he was shot but was great at tail end

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
He was being rushed back from injuries and Botica apparently had to play with a niggle the whole season!

He's not close to the level he was 2 seasons ago but always produces a bit of magic, been a top player

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Think it was a good deal for the both of us there, Thomas will come on leaps and bounds at Bath this season, rate him very highly. Gutted to lose Bennett, he's looked good each time I've seen him, imagine he'll be starting for Scotland by time of 6Nations.
Nick Evans is one of my favourite players, gives me an experienced no10 for at least a season and should help me out on predos there. If he'd have been English he'd have a ridiculous number of caps. CJ heard that Quins are going for Cipriani as his replacement - would be a great signing for them.

You certainly needed a 10, a good 9 and a firing TH and you'll be tough to beat

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
To be honest quite happy with Mulipola, he was named as TH of the season in the AP team of the year and has been doing very well for Tigers there in Cole's absence. Will hopefully have another good season and his scrummaging will continue to improve. Though do love a prop who runs in from distance!

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Yea he's definatley better with ball in hand than scrummaging

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Not so sure anymore, he got some very good reviews at the end of last season for his scrummaging - coaches at Tigers do know how to get the most out of their props.

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Took us a year to sort him out. Mulipola is ok at AP level, generally holds his own

Don't think anyone can moan about tigers scrum coaching.
Brooks apparently had an awful attitude at tigers and poor approach to fitness.
To be fair he is only 23 now so is starting to mature. Tight heads take time.
Leicester was too big a move for him. Some people are better at smaller clubs as players and find places like tigers a struggle

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Well that's a management issue.
Brookes left as an England Saxon and came back unfit and overweight and well out of England scene. It's took one season and he's now a full Int.......
Tigers don't develop youngsters well imo

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Tigers are hit and miss.
It is the fault of both player and club in most cases like it would be with Brookes.
Leicester done okay with Gibson. Not so well with Benjamin.

It's bringing youngsters through that Tigers are poor at. How many academy players see AP time?

Youngs, 36, Cole Etc
Also made lots of other teams youth players much better like slater parling Allen flood etc
Tigers reputation for developing England players is second to none

Yeah is meant to also like the sauce.
Thing is Leicester are a sink or swim environment. They challenge players and they either make it
Or don't'
Hard to argue with their success.
A bit like man utd lots of good players never make the grade there

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
Brooke's must be 3/4 choice when all fit so a great improvement.
Think Thomas will come through strong now.
Development of props is so up and down each matures at own rate

Re: Domestic Transfer Confirmation
How many of the Leicester academy make it through to the first time though, it's a really poor percentage. The ones that do make tend to be top class but it's around one every 3 seasons. Cockers seems to have little faith in youth

Stick by that mate, he'll be 3rd choice for me at the minute.
