Over 30’s lions tour
Let me say to start with I’m a massive fan of the lion’s tours and I’ll be cheering them on as ever this year. From a purely selfish point of view though as far as England are concerned this particular tour is coming at an annoying time when I’d rather we were left to focus on England. Got me to thinking though that if they limited to the tour to over 30’s players that would pretty much solve the problem for me. It’s never going to happen but with there being no real long term development requirements with lions tours it could work in principle. I also started rattling off names in my head and reckon you could put a pretty decent side out.
Dashing to lunch now so I’ll do mine a bit later but can name an over 30’s lions 22 that you think could have a decent chance down under? (This is purely for fun, not a real suggestion).

Best XV I can come up with (finding subs as well is a real stretch). Back row is actually the hardest to work out - there isn't a Lions eligible proper 7 over about 26 (Rennie, Barclay, Tipuric, Warbs, Robshaw), so I cheated a bit as Kelly Brown's last Scotland appearance was in the 7 jersey even if he is far and away better as a 6

Re: Over 30’s lions tour
Nice work and have to admit to some plagiarism here having seen the above:
Sheridan
Best
A Jones
Hines
O'Connell
R Jones
Brown
Easter
Cusiter
Wilkinson
Monye
Henson
BOD
Lamont
Byrne
Rees
Jenkins
Murray
Hamilton
Waldrom
Philips
Hodgson
Geordan Murphy
Probably not good enough for the win but should give them a good game! Maybe a few out of work coaches to help them along...Geech, Robinson, Ashton...
