Desmond Wolfe's condition
Randy Ricci, a former production manager for TNA Wrestling, claimed in a blog post on Friday that the reason Desmond Wolfe has not been wrestling in recent months is because he has Hepatitis C—a viral disease that leads to inflammation of the liver. We can't confirm or deny this but have heard rumors regarding a disease he has.
Ricci adds that the former ROH World Champion will be offered an office job.
Wolfe last wrestled for the organization in August. He and Magnus were scheduled to receive a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship against The Motor City Machine Guns at No Surrender, but were pulled from the event at the last minute, with TNA citing a "personal issue" as the reason. It was later reported that Wolfe was pulled from the event due to an undisclosed medical situation that would sideline him indefinitely.
Hulk Hogan is the only TNA Wrestling employee to publicly address Wolfe's status with the organization. When asked recently on Twitter about Wolfe returning to television, Hogan responded, "Desmond's situation is beyond TNA's control, the ball is completely in his court."

It's been heavily rumoured for months that this was the reason that Desmond Wolfe was taken off air, it unfortunately looks like those rumours are true. Real shame, for me Wolfe was a quality wrestler.
Does anyone know much on wrestlers with Hep C? I know that Sean Waltman (XPac) was diagnosed with it during his last run with TNA and that was the reason for his release yet he has recently been wrestling in CHIKARAs King of Trios.

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
Aww man that sucks major balls.
No idea on any other active wrestlers with it Hero, Waltman was the only one I'd heard of till now. There was of course the incident back in 2005 with Bob Orton Jr. and the Undertaker where Bob was busted wide open by Taker and unbeknownst to the Deadman the Cowboy had Hep B (think it's B). Needless to say, Taker hit the roof when he found out.
Seems a bit of a waste to stick Wolfe in the office, he'd make a great mouthpiece for someone.

I read this also and was shocked, i personally hope that it is not true as he is such great wrestler who can beat most guys, but he wasn't doing to much in TNA before he got his injury, so i would expect him to return in British Invasion should he return, whereas i think he could easily be part of upper echelons of the TNA Roster!

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
That is a real shame, but the biggest thing to consider is the health of Wolfe and anyone else he steps into the ring with. I would imagine at the moment he is getting his meds and everything settled but I wouldn't have thought he would have been cleared by insurance to be anywhere near a wrestling ring because of the risk of spreading the condition to others.
It may be that a managerial role would have been acceptable, but given that TNA have had a ... errm ... questionable records on some matters recently, I doubt they want the negative publicity of having a guy with Hep C around.

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
Lets face it...he'll probably never work in TNA again...such is their tendency to bust people open for fun.
Such a waste as the guy had a huge amount of talent and could easily have carried the top title.
He would make a great mouth piece for someone though.

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
Imagine the devastation it would cause if Ric Flair was diagnosed with hepatitis?

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
Cowboy Bob Orton was diagnosed with it which is why during his last run with Randy he was swiftly removed from storyline.

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
It's not hereditary so Randy would only have it if he came into contact with his dad's blood (possible) or if he was humping his dad (less possible) or if he used a needle that his dad had used (......)

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
If Flair ever does blade and no blood comes out...he will instantly have to return to Wheelchair Flair.
Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
They'd have to fill the wheelchair's tyres with blood so Flair could blade them.

Re: Desmond Wolfe's condition
Randy Ricci though??? Come on the guy is one of the biggest anti-Tna bloggers out there.
There are far too many rumours abound about Des, and until he himself addresses the rumours no-one can know.
