16. Brett Sturgess 17. Neil Clark 18. Hoani Tui 19. James Horwill 20. James Scaysbrook 21. Kevin Barrett 22. Ian Humphreys 23. Paul Sackey
Tactics
We will play a structured game built around our massive ball carriers, the strength of our set piece and getting our lightning backline into space.
- Attack the scrum as a weapon - and call when we can. Look to really get the shove on.
- Use Wilkinson's boot to attack our strong lineout with Mafi, Joubert, Pape and Deacon all massive jumpers. We will relentlessly target the opposition's throws.
- Massive line-breakers right throughout the side that will look to tire down the opposition defence. We will use our big carriers consistently to tire down the opposition.
The likes of Afoa, Mafi, Armitage, Beast, Pape, Joubert and Naqelevuki used off the shoulder crashing through the opposition defence.
- Armitage is the man charged with reaching the breakdown first and look to turnover possession. We will always look to attack quickly off turnover ball.
- Box kicks from Peel and up and unders from Wilkinson to give the opposition problems in the air.
Lightning back line to really get the chase on.
- Look to play attacking rugby in the backs, getting the likes of Kahui, Jane and Nacewa on the ball when we can.
- Our back three are encouraged to do what they do best - counter attacking and running the ball back. If isolated all have good kicking games, but the counter is what we ask them to look for.
- Wilkinson to kick all penalites.

TACTICS
General
- We want to make sure that we play rugby in the opposition half and force handling errors, where we can attack the scrum. Use the physicality of our pack to our advantage, keeping the ball tight in the middle section of the pitch to retain possession and build a platform to attack from. In our third clear to touch and challenge for the ball at lineout.
- In poor conditions, the kicking game is crucial. We've got Daly, Steyn and Hook to win the tactical game, with long clearances. In Banahan and Bowe, we've got two wingers that will chase up and unders and cross field kicks
- Steyn to ensure we play sensible rugby in the right areas, kicking long for touch in our 22, using the up and under in the centre of the pitch and delicate grubbers in behind centres to chase and force kickable penalties.
- Steyn leads the rush defence, with SOB flying up to cramp 10 for time and space and ensuring he takes the ball deep behind the gainline and starving their outside backs of ball. Classens sweeps up behind for counter attacks
- Big impact bench, with the likes of Tolofua, Catt, Fearns, Caldwell providing ball carrying options up front. Biggs, Daly and Fearns will wreak havoc in the last 20 minutes, as the space opens up. Real advantage over the opposition in terms of bench options
Forwards
* Two world class and very, young and fit scrummaging props picked, who should dominate at the scrum and force penalties. Mears back in the side for his solidity in the lineout
* In Louw, we have a world class in form flanker to compete at the breakdown. He looks to stay on his feet and slow opposition ball, stealing the turnovers
* Louw and SOB released to play as out and out flankers, linking play. Kalamafoni provides the physicality off the back of the scrum in defence and attack
* We only look to commit 1 or 2 players to the ruck if there is little chance of stealing. Prefering to protect fringes and smash big inside runners, looking to isolate them
* Use ball carriers of Healy, Attwood, O'Brien, Kalamafoni to make hard yards up the pitch and draw defenders into the ruck area, looking to create space around the fringes for Laulala to exploit
Backs
* Look to get territory first, in poor conditions, want to play the game in their half, so use the boot of Steyn, Hook and Daly
* Picked Daly in the centre, to utilise his big kicking boot. We now have him and Steyn to clear our lines
* In poor weather conditions, Banahan has been picked to make use of his power and height to allow the cross field kick and up and under
* Hook to take the ball flat on the gainline, drawing defenders and buying time and space for Steyn. Steyn often used as dummy runner to keep it unpredictable
* Use the inside pass with forward runners of SOB, Attwood, Fearns to keep the inside shoulder honest and force the 10 to make tackles.

Tactics
Big pack to get ontop the Irish front 5 and put them under the cosh at the Scrum and rucks with plenty of impact from the bench.
Scrummage for 80 minutes with strong scrummagers on the bench to come on if need
Steyn to test Irish backs 3s position game with Kicks in behind with North and AAC chasing with neither being on the small side.
Fofana/Tonga to take the ball to the gain line and ask questions of the Irish back line with North/AAC/Payne coming into the line to cause problems
Croft to run our lineout whilst Denton and Robshaw will look to smash rucks to slow down and Irish ball.
Jumpers from 4-8 in our pack giving Joe Grey plenty of targets with Etzebeth and Corft targeting the Irish Lineout.
Wrigglesworth to control the tempo , feeding Morne Steyn the ball at the right times and using his own vision to snipe and put the ball in behind Irish.
Blitz Defence to stop Irish backs playing with Wrigglesworth sweeping behind
Impact from the bench will see this game through Smit will keep things calm up front , Taulava will come on and smash everything in front of him. . Burguss and Heathcote are a exciting half back pair and will put plenty of pace onto the game.

Tactics
- Play in their half all day - there are few sides that can score against us from 60+ metres so it limits their threat straight away.
- Set a decent platform to attack from and gain some confidence. Quick ball to Brock if we're stable, Harinordoquy to pick and go if it's messy.
- In the lineout, we have plenty of options. Opt for full lineouts mostly in their half to tie in their pack, leaving more space out wide. Compete for their ball.
- Target the breakdown for possible turnovers, with Pocock staying strong on his feet. When they arise, lets use them to our advantage. If the back three are sparse, look to kick for territory. If there are mis-matches, lets have a go.
- Be disciplined at the breakdown, with a guard and bodyguard at every breakdown to stop those easy yards around the fringes. No excuses here.
- Simpson to keep the tempo high, getting the ball quickly away from the breakdown and releasing the backs. The back three to be hungry and look to get involved.
- Big efforts in defence, particularly from Bowden and Rougerie. Pocock to work his socks off getting across and chopping them down before they get momentum.
- For slow ball, look to get outside their guards and bodyguards to suck in more and more forwards at each breakdown. This will give more time to the backs.
- Bench is full of impact players to keep the intensity high and have a run at the Quin's tired legs.
Leicester Tigers v Gloucester
Location - Welford Road

16. Jamie George 17. Martin Castrogiovani 18. Alex Corbisiero 19. Richie Gray 20. Maurie Fa’saivalu 21. Karl Dickson 22. James O’Connor 23. Mile Benjamin
Tactics
We will base our game around high tempo, high intensity rugby. We’ll look to use the set piece as a foundation to work from and turn the screw on the opposition if a weakness is seen. We’ll look for big carries from our pack to give us go forward ball which Youngs thrives upon.
In the damp conditions look to target scrum and keep ball in so can get squeeze on opposition. See us having a big advantage here so will look to exploit.
We’ll look to target the lineout throughout with 5 top draw options. Alberts, Parling and Parisse will look to mark the front, middle and back and put intense pressure on throughout the game.
Flood/Barnes will dictate tempo and look to get Manu running angles to either punch holes in the opposition midfield or draw the decoy and allow our back 3 into the game.
When the 3 is on in front of the posts we’ll take and the captain will make the call on set piece if an advantage is seen.
- Turn screw in set piece if weakness seen
- Youngs to attack the gaps and allow Flood time to hit the line
- Manu to be used as crash and decoy with back 3 coming into the line
- Target lineout with world class operators
- Warburton/Alberts to marshal breakdown and slow/turnover opp ball
- Target scrum all game and take points on offer
- Use big boots of Flood/Barnes/Kearney to skid the ball through to the cornersand put pressure on Gloucester throw
Gloucester
16. Korree Britton 17. Dan Murphy 18. Rupert Harden 19. Tom Savage 20. Luke Narraway 21. Dan Robson 22. Mike Tindall 23. Shane Monahan
Tactics:
Our forwards will look to dominate the set piece and cause havoc at the breakdown. Our backs will be given quick ball to look to run through and round their opposite numbers. Yachvilli, Tindall and JSD will use their experience to create the space for the youngsters. Back row will look to be all over the park and our front row have the ability and experience to ruffle a few feathers. Forwards rugby for first 20 mins to suck in and tire the defence before the backs take the overlap's created. A good impact bench with experience and youth.
Forwards
*Experienced front row who will look to dominate the set piece and Jones will be the anchor, we will go up on Jones' side and won't go backwards....we go up, forward and down but not backwards.
*2nd rows are two strong players who will look to control the lineout and to put pressure on their back 5 in the scrum with confrontational play.
*Backrow are heavy hitters Qera both terrorising here and JVN providing brute strength off the back of the scrum and off the backs, again the bench provides more experience with Narraway. Cane will look to disrupt ball and carry a lot.
Backs
* Yachvilli to snipe when space but to release Burns when possible, he will go for goal when in range, Burns is in great form and will look to make his unpredictability show, Lambie can fill in too,
* Roberts and Trinder to hit hard and will have a winger on his shoulder at all times and also look for JVN to break through the defence,
* Exciting backs here who will link well and look to constantly run at and through the Chiefs defence,
* A fast back 3 here who will always look for work and are strong in defence and under the high ball.
Defence
*Trinder to lead this,
*Cane/Qera to be on 10’s shoulder looking to wrap the ball up,
*Contest at the breakdown and all set piece.

Tactics
We look to impose ourselves from the off and let the opposition know how we are going to play the game and how we want to dictate the pace of the game. Our brand of rugby is physical and fast, however we won't just run the ball at every opportunity. We will only play in the right areas of the paddock, and Evans knows when to attack and when we need to clear the lines. We will look to go through simple phases to reproduce quick ball to cut the defence open. We have brilliant leaders all other the pitch in POC, Pienaar, Easter and Evans, and they know what will be required to get we want from the game - a win. With the terrible conditions, they also know how we will want to play our game. We will look to force Wasps to play from in their 22 and use our strong lineout and kicking game to pressure them. After good form in Europe, we will continue to build on our great position in the league.

Replacements: 16.Chuter 17.Catsex 18.Stankovich 19.Cannon 20.Davies 21.Gopperth 22.Cueto 23.Haughhton
We will look to work through our forwards with ball in hand....forwards will do early carrying of the ball, whilst the backs wait patiently for the ball. Look to stay strong and tight at the set piece, Swarzeski will need to be very accurate at the line out. Care will look to get quick ball to the forwards however at times will delibeately slow the ball..Farrell will go for drop goals on regualr occasions, and also maybe kick the ball over the top for wingers to run onto. Quick wings can run the ball, and the obvious class at 12 and 13 can split any defence..

Tactics
Kubs to target Marler at scrum time. He is still week in this area.
Our front 5 has a lot more grunt with our 2nd rows offering more in the loose. This will be key.
Look to use our main ball carriers regulalry. And not kick too much. Defending in the rain is tiring. However Thomas and Cruden will look to kick tactically when needed.
Cruden to take all points on offer.
McLeod to offer 2nd tactical kicking option which will be crucial in bad weather.
JDv2 and JJ will look to run lines off each other as normal.
Our back 3 picked for bad weather, there back 3 has relatively weak kicking game and will struggle with tactical kicking, whereas we have McLeoad at 15 who is a v.good tactical kicker as well as player who normally plays 15 in Shephard on the wing.
We will look to use the bench, however we will not replace Cruden unless needed.

Overall: With the confidence of three consecutive wins we will look to extend the good run putting our carrying to good use in the conditions
Our gameplan will be widely based on big carrying especially from the forwards. We will be looking to get Marler/Robson/Haskell/Morgan on the ball and making gains with the ball in hand. We will not be trying for risky offloads but straight running and recycling.
At scrumtime We feel we have a big advantage here with three internationals. We feel we can have a big impact here with two quality international props. Apply pressure and look to get the nudge on throughout. If we are getting an advantage from the scrum we will look to call for it as much as possible and really look to hammer home our advantage looking for penalties
We also feel we have an advantage at lineout with both Kitchener, Haskell and Robson capable of winning the ball. If we sense an advantage we will look for corners with the boot.
Look to attack the breakdown hard and fast with lots of bodies looking to slow down or turn the ball over. Hooper is absolutely brilliant at getting over the ball and he will be backed up by Haskell and Morgan looking to nuisance of themselves.
Strong half back combination will be looking to control the tempo of our game. Will Genia will play his natural game mixing it up with his passing and his sniping runs. Dan Carter is our main playmaker and will look to use his vast array of talents to adapt to the game. He will look to get his running and passing game involved while his kicking offers another option.
The back five will be looking to make inroads with their attacking running. Nonu will be look to make strong runs, crashing through defences. He will look to draw in defences to offer more space for our other runners. JTH, Strettle and Garvey will be looking to make space outside Nonu and will use their pace to scare defences. Beale will look to join the attack late from deep and take on defenders.
In the rain we will look to target Cruden who is arguably flaky in the rain.
We also feel we have a huge advantage coming from the bench. We have strong row replacements who can build on the platform our starters left. Mostert will come on to add grit on late on. Kvesic will also come on and look to get involved all over the park. George Ford and Matt Hopper will offer varied attack against tired legs.

16. Matt Mullan 17. Schalk Brits 18. Sekope Kepu 19. Ollie Kohn 20. Will Fraser. 21. George Kruis 22. Jordan Burns 23. Vereniki GonevaWeather looks to be wet so whilst we will play ball in the backs when appropriate, the aim today is to play rugby based on hard work carrying in the tight, the set piece and most importantly the breakdown. We will approach the breakdown with the back row as a unit- McCaw fetching, Vunipola clearing out and Brown alternating between the two. The rest of the pack (especially Ryan and Kepu) will chip in and it will be a real team effort, but only look to turnover vulnerable ball- otherwise use the numbers to set the defence better. I want to spin only quick ball, slow ball will be kept tight in pods of 3 and mauls, utilising the carrying ability of Botha, Brown, McCaw, the Vunipolas and Brits. We'll also have Brits and Billy V running at Sexton off Hodgson's inside shoulder. He will be brutally targeted throughout the match. Parra to decide when to grind, kick or spin, and together with Hodgson to make sure we play all the rugby in enemy 22. When we do spin, I want Hodgson flat, Conrad running his support lines off Allen who will run straight and Goode ready to join as another 1/2nd receiver and change the direction of play. Turnover ball will be kept alive and used quickly and without mercy.
Defence- McCaw to be in 10's face when we have momentum and helping Charlie if not. Brown to harry 9. Otherwise, blitz led by Smith with carefully ruck-fringe guarding.
Back 3 can kick or run with ball, but if the FB isn't in position go for the kicks- let's not force it too much. Lots of height on these kicks and I want the likes of McCaw and the pack really chasing these to force mistakes.
Keep it simple in the backs, with basic switches and big runners from the pack occasionally coming onto the inside pop, or ready to hit the ruck if it doesn't happen. Keeping it tight off the rucks doesn't mean artificially slowing it down- if the ruck side defence is on the back foot, keep picking and driving until the back line is forced to react then spin it
Play to our strong set piece- kick for the corners if it's on and take points as we back our kickers to score. Our scrum should win parity at least and if it's going forward, use back row set moves and get Billy running at tier blindside winger- both are questionable front on tacklers
Use our bench cleverly- we can change the style at 10 with Parra or Goode, put on a fresh pack and can alter the balance of the backrow to suit the game- if we need lineout options, Kruis can play 6, if we need breakdown work, McCaw to 8 and Fraser on.

Tactics
We will look to play a fast paced attacking game using big carriers running of the 9/10/12 axis to get us over the gain line and generate quick ball. Keeping the ball alive is crucial so our carriers will be looking for support runners to hit on the offload and get us further over the gain line. Our back three will look to get involved as much as possible running support lines of the halfbacks and midfield looking for the inside ball or offload. If for whatever reason we aren’t getting quick ball, we will look to take control of territory with the boots of Dickson & Sexton and force Sarries to come at us from deep.

Tactics
- Piennar and Wilson are solid technicians and will secure our own feed, to provide first phase possession for our backs. We have strong props on the bench as well, so we should not be outclassed throughout the game
- With a strong lineout, O'Connell will lead the lineout and use himself as banker ball at the front of the line with Mumm jumping in the middle. If winning own ball POC will look to call full number lineouts to tie in the Wasps fowards.
- Our whole pack is mobile and capable of snaffling ball at the breakdown. Collectively we will look to (legally!) slow down Warriors' ball as much possible, only committing men to rucks if the turnover is on, to prevent them any front foot ball for their big carriers.
- The backrow will target the halfbacks, allowing them no time on the ball, which will lead to them rushing and making handling errors and mistakes.
- We will look to keep the ball alive, preventing them from setting any defensive lines and moving the point of attack. Evans will direct traffic with the use of quick pods systems outside the guards of the rucks.
- Off any first phase possession, the blindside winger will come in to create options off Evans so that it can keep the defence guessing to whether we will go wide, or cut against the grain.
- We will look to test the Wasps back three with Pienaar's clever box kicking and Evans throwing the odd bomb in. Their back three can be got at here as they won't be the best defensively, and their urge to attack will find them short in most cases. All kicks will be chased.
- Look to use our strong bench for impact later in the game. To get an advantage in the scrum, and collisions with big impact players.
- Pienaar will kick all points, he can kick from within our ten, so this indicates that Wasps should be wary of giving away penalties.
- At home we make it a struggle for anyone to even get a LBP at our fortress.

- With a powerful front 5 on show we will look to keep the scrum up and use it as a weapon. On our own feed we will look to get the wheel on and give our 8-9-10 axis as much room as possible to attack from.
- In Sarries territory, with 5 jumping options to use, we will look to play off the top and move the ball out to Sexton and the backs. In our own territory, we will look to take the ball down into the maul and drive ourselves into the right areas.
- We will play an aggressive blitz on defence, playing on the edge of the offside line and coming up at pace, looking to isolate the ball carrier and stop any Sarries momentum before it can get going.
- Lee Dickson will act as a sweeper and cover any chips or grubbers behind the defensive line.
- We will leave two players sitting deep to cover any kicks and they will look to counter attack of any loose ball.
- With the blitz in operation, we will look to be at the breakdown first hitting it hard and fast. If the ball looks available we will flood the breakdown with Wood looking to get his hands on the ball.
- If the ball is not immediately available we will only commit 1 or 2 players to legally slow the ball down and instead look to strengthen the defensive line.

Just use last weeks teams for non posters, I'll fine 1m rather than giving the 30-0 loss.

TACTICS

Gloucester

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Chiefs 16-19 Bath
Set Piece: Evens here with 2 strong scrummaging units on show.
Breakdown: Feel Bath could have a bit of an edge here but the Mafi-K clash will be huge.
HB's: More from Chiefs with the control.
Attack: Tactics wise here both have the right attacking options.
Defence: See Bath strong in this area.
Tactics: Not sure about Chiefs doing box kicks, think Bath have the tactics right in the conditions.
Quins 22-21 Irish
Set Piece: Quins with this with their 2nd row pairing.
Breakdown: Feel Irish's international's will get the edge but Quins won't lose much.
HB's: Evens here.
Attack: Not sure about either 12's but Quins have more threat.
Defence: To Quins but not much'll get past Armitage.
Tactics: Both good-tempowise think both'll get the joy they want.
Welsh 17-15 Wasps
Set Piece: Powerful front 5 from both teams here. Think Wasps could cause Welsh some issues come lineout time.
Breakdown: Salvi will win the breakdown battle against Welch here, 2 good carrying 8's.
HB's: Prefer the Welsh pairing here but you can't beat down the form of the Wasps pair.
Attack: More go forward from Wasps here but could be swallowed at 10.
Defence: Nothing will break through the Welsh pairing.
Tactics: Think Wasps need to be a bit clearer here on when they will release their backs...Farrell kicking drop goals may keep the scoreboard ticking but I think Welsh may have more scoring opportunities. The Wasps backrow will keep them in the game but tactics are huge in a game this close. Will be a close match.
Sale 12-15 Warriors
Set Piece: Strong from both teams at scrum but Warriors will cause lineout issues from Sharks
Breakdown: Seymour will struggle, Warriors have the carrying options.
HB's: Quality for Warriors but Cruden played well recently.
Attack: Good centre pairing from both but Warriors will get the scoring opportunities with better finishers.
Defence: Solid at FB for Warriors.
Tactics: 2 contrasting styles of play with tactical kicking against forward power. I feel the Warriors will have a solid enough lineout to hold this. They do have one less player on the bench though with Hopper named twice.
Sarries 18-20 Saints
Set Piece: Buchanan the standout here as a weak point although Tiny's form has been on and off lately. 2 good sets of jumpers from both.
Breakdown: Great balance from Saints but Sarries can provide some unexpectiedness through Vunipola.
HB's: 2 very good pairings who suit both sets of tactics.
Attack: Like the look of Sarries but Saints have international experience across the board which will help in a close match.
Defence: Can't see gaps in either side.
Tactics: Really like the Sarries tactics, well written, think they could get some go forward from their bench. If Brits had started then the result may have changed given his huge influence. Saints have quite a few in form players although, like POC for Welsh, SBW and Ferris need more rugby union gametime soon.

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
All 5 games really really tough these week, not much between them. Have plumped for home advantage making the slight difference in each. Solid set piece counts for more in poor conditions, so giving good value to good scrummagers and second rowers, as well as tactical kickers

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Exeter 22-18 Bath
Not much in the scrum battle with Webbers lack of form just costing Exeter a little. Step up for the home side in the engine room with both players better than their opp numbers. Good flank combo for Bath but Joubert a much better 8 brings things close. Good pack battle.
Little edge for Exeter in the halfbacks with Wilko just shading things and although Kahui out of form think the Exeter combo have just a bit more with Daley just not up to this level. Nothing in back 3's with Banahan dragging a cracking Bath 3 down a little.
Exeter have enough at home to secure win.

Harlequins 20-19 Irish
Nothing in the front rows but Quins a step up in the engine room. 2 fantastic backrows, think Irish just edge with Crofts lack of form(due back this week?).
Not much in the 10's but Wiggles shades the 9's and not much in the centre combos. Irish back is good but Quins is world class, just has a bit of everything. A bloody tight one but Quins sneak it.

Welsh 18-17 Wasps
Probably a little edge in the front 3 for Wasps but similar for Welsh in the engine room. Decent step up in the Wasps backrow sees them get an advantage in the pack though.
Class above in the Welsh halfbacks and balance of centre combo. I'd swap your centres around CF. nothing in 2 good back 3's. really really tight with home advantage just taking it.

Sale 19-20 Worcester
Belting game this one, just think Worcester have a little more form and quality throughout. Sale with a couple of tweaks are a top 4 side though. Cruden, JD, Lobbe give them real class.

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Exeter Chiefs 16-20 Bath
Scrum: Bit more to Chiefs. Afoa should get some change out of Healy.
Lineout: Similar quality jumping options on both sides but Mears the more reliable thrower.
Breakdown: Tight between the two 7s but feel SOB and the Bath front 5 capable of poaching as well.
HB's: Nothing between the sides tactically but Hook can open the defence a bit more.
Attack: Both sides full of carriers but Bath have that bit more creativity and stronger kicking options.
Defence: Both sides solid defensively. Banahan could be got on the turn but it isn’t targeted.
Bench: Both benches are solid but Eastmond offers some spark against tired legs.
Tactics: Both sides gone for a predominately kicking game. Both game plans solid but Chiefs place emphasis on getting at the lineout which I don’t see and Bath have the better options to win out a kicking battle.
Harlequins 25-22 London Irish
Scrum: Edge to Quins with both Irish props lacking a bit of form at the moment
Lineout: Both sides with plenty of jumpers but Irish will nick a ball or two with Quins lacking an out and out leader.
Breakdown: Irish to turnover a ball or two with more in the back row but both sides should get decent clean ball
HB's: More attacking sprite from Irish but Quins more suited to the conditions today.
Attack: More creativity in the Irish side but Quins have a few more carrying options and their back three will be in the thick of it all game.
Defence: Irish can be caught in the 10-12-13 channel with big carriers. Quins can be pulled out of shape though with Fofanna not used to the 13 channel and being the type of player to rush up.
Bench: Great options to open up a defence for Irish but Quins can continue to get at the scrum.
Tactics: Both game plans are strong but being critical the Irish halfbacks aren’t the type to keep the game pinned back in wet conditions.
Leicester Tigers 23-18 Gloucester
Scrum: Even here. Slight edge in the props too Tigers but strong 2nd row locks it up for Glaws.
Lineout: Tigers edge with Parling a stronger leader and better jumpers to hit.
Breakdown: Glaws backrow strong here but Tigers front 5 keep it even with good work
HB's: On current form edge to Glaws with Burns in cracking form in recent months.
Attack: Evens with some electric runners and great playmakers on both sides.
Defence: Glaws wingers not the best of tacklers and Lambie could be caught in the conditions under a few kicks
Bench: Tigers front row could dominate scrum time
Tactics: Strong and detailed game plan from Glaws. Tigers emphasis lineout edge but seem to be playing a big carrying game with no mention of a kicking game.
London Welsh 16-11 London Wasps
Scrum: Edge to Welsh with them getting at Payne with Swaz not the strongest scrummager
Lineout: Wasps to pick a few balls with POC lacking form
Breakdown: Wasps back row offer more here and will ensure messy ball for Welsh
HB's: Better balance to Welsh and they can set the tempo with the Wasps pair just not suited for each other
Attack: Similar carrying options for both sides and both have that bit of spark to break the line.
Defence: Varndell, Monye & Medard could be got at kicking wise in the conditions. Wasps can be pulled out of shape with Twelvetrees at 13
Bench: No back up scrummy is a mark down for Wasps. Welsh have the forwards to tidy up and keep hold of the ball.
Tactics: Much more detail from Welsh. They have set up well for the conditions. They will get good position with the kicking game but the lineout isn’t quite there for them to dominate the game.
Sale Sharks 17-18 Worcester Warriors
Scrum: Edge to Sale with a massive 2nd row backing up the scrum.
Lineout: Both sides have the options to hold their own ball.
Breakdown: Worcester flanks offer more here but the Sale front 5 a lot grittier and will clear up a lot more.
HB's: To Worcester with best combo in the league but Cruden is capable
Attack: Good carrying games for both sides but Worcester with more game changers in the backline.
Defence: Some joy could be got down both 13 channels. Cruden could possibly be got at from time to time but is fairly solid these days
Bench: Goosen is the man who could change the game up the most with his massive boot but Sale have instructions to keep Cruden on
Tactics: Both premises are solid but much more detail from Worcester which is key in a tight game. Need to keep an eye on player references though.

Yeah I find you get into the flow of it quite quickly SirJ! I like the addition of the bench to it too! I try to comment about benches but easier to have their own category.
Glad you found it ok!

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Exeter 15 - 17 Bath
FR- Edge to Bath, better at both props and equal at hooker around the park and in the set piece
SR- goes to Exeter with some serious grunt here
BR- as always an epic duel, both sides capable of huge carrying and solid in D. Tiniest of edges to Bath
Scrum- Just goes to Bath on props
Lineout- Evens, Bath better thrower, trust Ex jumpers more
Breakdown- Just goes to Bath, all back row v capable here
HBs- in wet, Exeter win this
CE- ain't seen Kahui in ages so despite Daly's youth, this goes to Bath
B3- Both good in different ways, probably goes to Ex's 2 FB style (Jane counts) in the weather
Attack- Bath more attack orientated closer in in the back line, more power closer in backs to Ex is probably more suitable here but Bath edge it because I love the carrying of that back row
Defence- Exeter
Plan- Bath's more suited to conditions
Subs- Same
Overall- Bath come away with a hard-earned away win in a low scoring match, based on the scrum and tactics

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Quins 18 - 15 Irish
FR- to Quins, good in scrum and offers plenty in the loose. JJ great form
SR- Just to Quins, v hard working SRs and Etzebeth standing out
BR- Tough as always. Denton off form more than Hari is, but I prefer the all around game of Quins, and Croft Robshaw is a great flank duo.
Scrum- Quins
Lineout- Quins, only because of Gray's throwing really, jumpers pretty close
Breakdown- Though I've gone in favour of Robshaw over Poccock in BR, here Poccock and Hari win- Irish by a bit
HBs- To Irish, though Wiggles could give Simposn a hard time in defence Simpson WILL give the Quins HBs a hard time, rain or not.
CE- Evens, not inspired by either partnership but they'll do their jobs
B3- Just goes to Quins though I expect both sets to kick more than run realistically
Attack- Evens given the weather, very tight-attacking game
Defence- Evens
Plan- mildly prefer Irish's. Not a very exciting plan but will make it v hard for Quins to play rugby
Subs- just prefer Quins
Overall- Quins win a kicky game due to home advantage and the set piece
FR- to Quins, good in scrum and offers plenty in the loose. JJ great form
SR- Just to Quins, v hard working SRs and Etzebeth standing out
BR- Tough as always. Denton off form more than Hari is, but I prefer the all around game of Quins, and Croft Robshaw is a great flank duo.
Scrum- Quins

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Tigers 25 - 20 Gloucester
FR- hardest battle they've had in a while but has to go to Tigers' awesome front 3
SR- Just goes to the class of Whitelock for Glouc
BR- Better balance to Tigers but Warbs out of form- evens
Scrum- just to Tigers
Lineout- Tigers, again just
Breakdown- Gloucester
HBs- Gloucester- love that combo and Yachvilli very useful in this match
CE- On Roberts' form, this goes to Tigers
B3- Tigers- both excellent in attack and equal in kicking but whilst JSD can't overpower Wade as other wingers might, Sharples will not have a fun day marking Ioane
Attack- Tigers, due to backs
Defence- Tigers due to the match ups here
Plan- Gloucester more detail
Subs- Would be Tigers but a lot of players with great reputations but little recent form- evens
Overall- Tigers win this at home with kicking for the line out and the crossfield kick to target Sharples

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Welsh 21 - 20 Wasps
FR- Just to Welsh with a solid but hardworking trio
SR- Wasps- POC needs game time
BR- Wasps take 7, Wealh 8 but Wasps win overall with Dus. I know he has been injured a bit too but I've also literally never seen him have a bad game
Scrum- Welsh
Lineout- Wasps
Breakdown- Wasps
HBs- Welsh. Care's form great and Farrell v useful in this kind of game but Pienarr possibly the 9 of the year and perfect for conditions and Nev is Nev
CE- Probably Welsh on defence
B3- The all English trio of Wasps- v tasty
Attack- evens
Defence- Welsh
Plan- Welsh, Wasps pretty short
Subs- Welsh
Overall- Welsh will struggle a bit in the tight exchanges but have the kicking quality and will get enough ball to the backs to edge this

Re: Aviva Premiership Round Twelve
Sale 18- Wuss 20
FR- To Sale. Actually think nothing wrong with Marler's scrummaging with a decent pack but v powerful Sale front row here
SR- Sale- love that SR for its power and work
BR- Think Wuss take this, though Sale trio make it close with nous.
Scrum- Sale- as I say, I think Marler will do OK but would do better with bigger SRs and Kubs is a monster
Lineout- just to Wuss- smaller SRs but better in line out!
Breakdown- Wuss
HBs- Worcester. Despite neither having the best last game and Genia's injury, Genia and Carter are the most talented 9/10 in the world
CE- Sale- like the Wuss combo (Quins, of course) but JD and JJ looks dangerous
B3- Wuss, thanks to the class of Beale
Attack- Wuss, very dangerous back line here
Defence- Sale look a bit more solid, close though
Plan- Both looking to target weaknesses in ways I think are fair enough, both equal.
Subs- SAle better forwards, Wuss better backs, evens overall
Overall- Wuss scrape a last second win because Hooper and Haskell will get enough ball that the back line gets a chance to do some damage, rain or not.
