Notes: I've tried to give awards so that the same player doesn't win 2 awards, dunno why just have. I would also give Vince Wilfork a mention in the defensive player of the year category, doesn't have the stats but has been immense this season. Same can be said for Geno Adkins

Re: 606v2 End of Season awards
I somewhat missed the boat on this last week due to the Christmas and New Year family festivities, but with an extra week of NFL action on everyone else...
MVP:
1. Adrian Peterson - Vikings would be nowhere close to the playoffs without him. This week sealed it for me.
2. Peyton Manning - Hugely impressive season, but as a few pundits etc have pointed out - they also got there last year.
3. Tom Brady - Solid as always... tempted by the homer pick of Rodgers but he has held onto the ball too long and taken to many sacks, particularly early in the year though clearly the line hasn't helped.
Offensive PotY:
1. Adrian Peterson - See MVP.
2. Calvin Johnson - Not in the MVP race due to the fact his contribution has yielded few wins, but he is literally the only weapon in Detroit and you still cant stop the guy.
3. Peyton Manning - See MVP.
Defensive PotY:
1. JJ Watt - To put up that many sacks as a hand on the ground DE in a predominant 3-4 rather than as the OLB/Edge rusher deserves a tonne of credit. Plus he's more than just sacks to the defence as he gets involved in run stuffing, plays DT from time to time and gets his hands up for pass deflections.
2. Von Miller - A complete OLB with another fantastic year leading a great defence.
3. Geno Atkins - The xtra week convinced me that whilst Aldon Smith has talent, a lot of his production comes from being a specialist rusher who follows Justin Smith's blocks. Geno Atkins plays fantastic for a DT, is key to the Bengals defence and actually puts up pass rusher sack totals.
Coach of the Year:
1. Chuck Pagano / Bruce Arians - In some senses I was going to put Arians on his own, as controversial as that could have been. However Pagano lead the team fully through training camp and that's where the systems were put in place that made the team what they are, so despite technically not coaching most of the teams game he needed to be on the award... only circumstances stopped him.
2. Pete Carroll - He's got guts going with Russel Wilson from day one and it worked out a treat.
3. Leslie Frazier - It may well be all AP, but you have to credit the coaching staff for getting the Vikes to the playoffs after last years debacle.
Comeback PotY:
1. Adrian Peterson - See MVP.
2. Peyton Manning - See MVP.
3. Jamaal Charles - Bundle of yards on a terrible team with no viable passing threat after a year spent nursing his torn ACL.
Offensive RotY:
1. Andrew Luck - The impact of Luck and RGIII is pretty similar really and you could give it to either. I however favor Luck because the Colts were predicted to fail miserably, plus the defence isn't all that great and they had to deal with a hell of a lot of adversity... they also won more games.
2. Robert Griffin III - See above really. Most years he would have won it and I commend the 7 game streak to end the year... maybe doesn't help that Kirk Cousins came in and won a game with confidence... I'm not sure Drew Stanton could have done that in Indy.
3. Russel Wilson - If it were measured on the final half of the season he might just get it, but he was held back by his performances in the early stages of the season where he was game manager and not game winner like the other two.
Defensive RotY:
1. Luke Kuechly - Just a machine of a linebacker. Tackling stats are lifted by the fact the Panthers had to play a lot of defence, especially early but still.
2. Bobby Wagner - Calls the defence as a rookie MLB... and it turned out to be a hell of a good defence in the end. Deserves a lot of credit for a 2nd rounder from a relatively average football college to do that straight away.
3. Harrison Smith - Has just played really well in the secondary, has made a few key plays and lots to have solidified the Vikings secondary a fair bit.
MVP:
