Re: BPL 2 - Highlights
Live Coverage Sky channel -, i think
http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan/content/story/601114.html
Pakistan didnt want to send any players to BPl, because Bangladesh postponed the tour to pakistan waiting on security clearance and ICC didnt want to pass it or even really look into it, knowing the risks of a wrong decision.
No one wins here, but Pakistan lose more, They are now more isolated than before, only Bangladesh were talking about touring them, now thats gone, the current PCB is ran by idiots, it denied its players big salaries, guys like Imran Nazir lose out on 280 thousand, thats more than what he will earn playing for pak in 4 years

Re: BPL 2 - Highlights
The whole Holly Wilaboobie-for-tat between Pakistan and Bangladesh is ridiculous, although both are somewhat to blame. Pakistan must accept that circumstances are not yet right for tours to the country to resume. This must be difficult to accept but recent escalations suggest Bangladesh was right. On Bangladesh's part they should have conducted a thorough private investigation into whether they could tour before publicly changing their mind a number of times.
The BPL is a farcically run tournament on a number of levels. But there are a number of English players playing, so it might be interesting from that point of view. I also think that last year's tournament was good for the Bangladesh players, who seemed to kick on a bit from the confidence of playing in the same team as some superstars. Sadly most of the overseas this year are now third rate, with the Dhaka Gladiators looking the strongest team by a distance. There will, however, be good opportunities for some Irish players. After last year's poorly thought out rule making Associate players a mandatory presence in squads but not teams, I expect Stirling and O'Brien to be selected this time round.
EDIT: I did not write Holly Wilaboobie-for-tat! The swear filter won't let me write t*t-for-tat!

Very true, BD should have sent the security team earlier to asses Pakistan, but Pakistan waited very late to pull out, so they can damage the BPL, but more so they have isolated themselves more.
Shah is on fire. Khulna going down bad.
Ch. 834 - better coverage than last time round, no stupid banner and shorter ads

what about Owais Shah?, also a good player - Bopara hasn't done much, so far.
Shah seems to be a class player, Luke Wright, can open with the bat and bowl, not so sure about him finishing off in the later overs though

Re: BPL 2 - Highlights
I've been banging on about Shah for a while. Should've been in the WT20 squad in SL. Afraid, his time may have gone though. Selectors decided to move on from him 3 yrs ago, which I think is a shame but ah well!

Owais Shah anger at lack of BPL payment
www.espncricinfo.com/bangladesh-premier-league-2013/content/story/602818.html
"I have received the remittance slip via email but nothing has arrived in the last four days," Shah said. "I don't know where the money is, and it is a pretty embarrassing situation."
turns out it is, he gave the wrong account number

Yeah, he's looked in one innings, he's surrounded by excellent players, don't see why he shouldn't preform

Knock out stage structure:
1 v 2, winner in final, loser of 1v2 plays winner of 3 v 4, winner of that goes into final

Gayle - 114, Shakib 38, Pollard 18
Sylhet
Mushfiqur Rahim - 86, DR Smith - 41, Chigumbura 24
Dhaka into final
Sylhet will play winner of Chittagong v Rajshahi to determine second finalist.
Dhaka far too strong of a team, with Gayle, Dilshan, Shakib, Pollard, Thomas amongst other world class players, Pollard coming in at 7 shows the depth of DG batting line up.
