The Shield
This is my first day back on this board for well over 6 months. Did you all miss me? Bet no-one even remembers me
Anyway, I apologise if this thread has been done before (it probably has) but I want to know what everyone thinks of The Shield. Obviously there was a lot of hype when I was on here about Dean Ambrose, and I must say he - along with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins - hasnt disapointed. They all seem capable in the promo department and in the wrestling department (although we have only seen them in one official match!). I am also liking what they are doing at the moment, attacking faces at random. Not just midcarders either, they have gone for the big guns.
Also do you guys think there will be a connection with CM Punk or even Brad Maddox? Even though they seem to have their own agenda, WWE keeps dropping hints that they are all working together, so it wouldnt suprise me if they are all involved in a big new stable with Paul Heyman and maybe even Brock Lesnar...

Re: The Shield
I did wonder where you went! I envy you for signing Chris Wood though!
I really like the Shield, from day 1 when they interfered in the title match at Survivor Series, i know there has been a lot of hype about Ambrose, yes he has done very well but personally i feel Romen Regins has been the stand out. I do like what there doing in just attacking faces here and there.
I don't think there is any connection with Punk personally.

Re: The Shield
Haha 6 goals in 3 games, what a bargain!
Yeah Reigns does look like a beast and he is the one I can see more as a main-eventer at this stage. They are all doing wel at the minute though, I just hope they really progress this story and delve further into their reasons for correcting "injustices".

Re: The Shield
Look after Wood for us, glad to see he is doing well for you guys after we decided to cash in
As for the Shield same as you two Reigns has been the one who has impressed me the most. His physique is imposing and I genuinely get that "badass" vibe off of him, no words just actions and I feel he could be the first to get a main event run, it will just be keeping him at that level that would be the trouble. Rollins and Ambrose we all know will make it to the main event picture sooner or later just so long as they are booked fairly well, love the fact that they came in as a trio as well as it could make for some interesting feuds between them in the future.

Re: The Shield
I watch wrestling sparsely at the moment, but from what I've seen The Shield look really good. As with the consensus, Reigns is the one for me at the minute for the listed reasons.
Here's a question though - Who do you reckon would be the one to turn face if one did? Rollins for me.

Re: The Shield
Hate to say it Stonee but you may have let him go a bit too cheaply lol.
I wouldnt mind seeing them stay together for quite a while. I hope it isnt just until Wrestlemania or anything like that. I have a feeling they will cost The Rock victory against CM Punk.

The Shield are another wasted opportunity just like Nexus.

Re: The Shield
I think there's a big difference with Nexus to the Shield.
The Nexus apart from Barrett were simply not ready for TV, barely any of them had any uniqueness to them as part of the group, here with the Shield they all have a benefit to being in the group, the spokeperson of Ambrose, the highflyer of Rollins and the muscle of Reigns. I think it's a great stable and I fully expect them to continue for a while and for all three to become high level stars when they eventually go solo.

I think the fact that based on last nights Raw that...
- Spoiler:
- The Rock was willing to be battered and put them over hugely is huge testament to how highly thought of these three guys are backstage

If anybody looks at this thread, without clicking on the spoilers, they'll think something massive has happened.

Re: The Shield
I think they are making such a big thing about Punk being involved with them, that it must be someone else.
For some reason I think it's Cena !!!

I initially thought it was the Rock in a huge swerve, I'm now leaning towards Vince.

GSC wrote:Its Heyman
I think it'll be Heyman as well, I think it'll be a matter of Heyman not actually believing in Punk and organising things without his knowledge. Then you can have a whole "but I'm a Heyman guy!" and Heyman responding "Well I'm not a CM Punk guy"
