Oprah interview with Lance armstrong, DISGRACE!
I cannot conceal my anger that is rising in inside me that like an erupting volcano.
From what I saw it was an absolute cakewalk for him.
He isn't sorry for what he did, he is sorry he got caught. There is no remorse in those cold, calculating, meticulous eyes.
The interview so far has been an absolute waste, a farce, a sham!
I had hope this could clean up cycling but the most important areas that would implicate the corrupt and complict UCI remains hidden.
I have no faith now, it is all very sad, so goes the future of cycling .
thoughts?

Re: Oprah interview with Lance armstrong, DISGRACE!
It didn't really seem like an interview to me. From the snippets I saw, it looked scripted.
This particular exchange just doesn't seem spontaneous to me.
Oprah: Did it feel wrong at the time?
Armstrong: No. Scary.
Oprah: Did you feel bad about it?
Armstrong: No. Even scarier.
Oprah: Did you feel you were cheating?
Armstrong: No. The scariest.
He also seemed to find answers to her questions rather too easily.
I can't say I expected anything else, but I'm still annoyed that he got such an easy ride.

exactly, powder puff stuff. Like the USADA said he needs to be subjected to much harder questions under oath!

The good news is that everyone (apart from the apologists) have rumbled it.
Oprah. FFS.

What the hell. He owned up to the fact that he used PEDs. So what if he wasn't wringing his hands and sticking needles in his eyes to show remorse. Guilty is guilty with or without tears.
Geez, you guys want Hollywood performances before you're satisfied. For me, he got caught. End of.

So, Armstrong showed no remorse, he was sorry he was caught, and he was cold and calculating...
How did that make Oprah a bad interviewer? I thought she did a good job in bringing that side of him.
I quite liked the way the interview went. Of course, there wasn't much spontaneity as both went along with their carefully prepared and rehearsed scripts. This wasn't meant to be a spontaneous expression of feelings. After all, he had to be careful with every sentence as this for him was an exercise to lessen legal damage. Nevertheless, there was admission of guilt and some revelation to the extent his lawyers would allow.
I am looking forward to Deep Throat, episode 2.

Just bored with this creepy megalomaniac.
Wish he'd just crawl under a rock and never come out again.
The really scary thing is that he was considering running for governor of Texas. He probably would have won too.
In fact he's probably the perfect candidate.

Cold calculating liar with no scruples.
Sounds like the perfect candidate for a political post.
Besides, he has that Rumsfeld look about him.

Rumsfeld has never been Governor of Texas.
Scruple enough to raise money and save lives though...

What I want to know is why is Lance still telling lots of lies. Does he really think the public are stupid.

do you actually know how big his confession could be for the sport of cycling???
If he completely came clean, he could change everything in the sport.
All the dealings with the UCI, the omerta, how to beat the doping system, those involved in beating it, the current practices, the federations involved and so many jobs and livelihoods are at stake, it could be HUGE!!!
I'm sorry but that is such a blase, throw away comment from someone who it appears doesn't know much about the sport.
