Tell us about your username today...
First topic message reminder :
Hi all,
Bit of a break from the norm here: I've noticed some unusual usernames on ye olde golf board, maybe you could share the inspiration and origins for your chosen moniker.
Mine comes from a character in Life of Brian. Incontinentia Buttocks, the wife of Biggus Dickus who was an officer in the Woman awmy.
Do share your own story...

I'm tempted to ask "who are those guys?" but I don't want to know. Seriously.
Friend asked me a trivia q recently - which was the first British (artist?/)band whose debut album went straight to no 1 in the US chart? Beatles? Nope. Stones? Nah.
When he told me the answer, my response was a loud but unintelligible "WHAAAA?"

[Sorry, perhaps wasn't clear that that was the reason why I brought up]

"One Erection" and "artist" don't belong in the same paragraph let alone sentence.

Puligny calling and he is a he! Favourite wine, though I do try very hard to find an alternative, haven't managed it yet. Will have another go this evening!

...ah...as in Puligny Montrachet? Good shout, Classy
I could have gone down that route and called myself Amarone. As a general lover of a wide range of decent wine I did contemplate calling myself The Sommelier but the intention was to give up booze a few years ago and a Moniker like that would never have helped, having said that I haven't actually started giving up yet!!

A very reliable ristorante on NYC's West Side called Amarone, good service, decent food, reasonable prices . . . . . .

Good moniker puligny but I have to say I hate that style of over-oaked, over-priced French burgundy. Still, could have been worse, you could have called yourself Mersault.JAS wrote:puligny wrote:Puligny calling and he is a he! I wonder if there's a wine called John Cregan?
Irish self made millionaire retires to the Napa Valley and buys a vineyard.
Names the Zinfandel after himself as he can't think of another name at the time!!

Navy - that's the beauty of wine. You like some you don't like others and you make your own mind up what suits. Never been able to get on with anything fizzy, though I am told it is very popular!!!
JAS - never thought about giving it up - interesting concept - but if I do I will hope to do it very slowly!
