England Squad to face Brazil
Jack Butland, Joe Hart, Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Leon Osman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Daniel Welbeck.
Good squad, filled with England's future and some experienced names (Cole to win his 100th cap!). Bring on Brazil!

The Ox? Has he being playing for Arsenal, because I cannot remember seeing him play for weeks.
Carrick, Lampard & Gerrard have all hit good form, along with Wilshere.
Cleverley? I'd even put Henderson in before him.

Re: England Squad to face Brazil
hopefully Butland will play...we all know Hart is class and is our no1 keeper, but in friendlies we may as well give the likes of Butland etc a game.

I think Henderson might have got into the senior squad if he wasn't so important to the U21s. They'll want him for the tournament this summer, so no reason to just have him sitting on the bench for the senior squad.

Defoe and Carrick are out, Sturridge is a major doubt.

Not sure whether Hodgson will bring anybody in to replace them or who he would, doubt Pearce would be happy with him plucking out of the U21s.

England team
Irrelevant of the players, I fully expect to see Brazil thoroughly/comprehensively beat England.
I expect the score to be something like 5-1 to Brazil.
I wish England all the best, however, I hold no hope.
Should England actually win.....I shall consider Brazil not treating this game with the seriousness it should receive.
If only English people held England in similar regard as the Brazilians do with their country.
I expect the score to be something like 5-1 to Brazil.

You sound like the English media before a friendly:
Brazil win - England not good enough
England win - It's only a friendly, the opposition didn't care.
Make no mistake, Brazil will be up for this game.

I believe Brazil will thrash England and yes I can have a media type of perspective but then again why not since England haven't produced much since 66.
Euro after Euro, World Cup after World Cup, England have shown fear and hesitation when it comes to the bigger teams when it really matters and they lose, it is for this reason I have chosen not to get myself all hyped up, all excited and wish them well but to be fully prepared for the usual loss whether it be friendly or official. England are good but not great, Brazil are simply majestic as are Spain and the up and coming French. My feelings are that of others who know England's national side and their repetitive defeats, lack of determination and collective team work......the exact opposite of Brazil and Spain plus Holland.

The usual loss? England haven't lost a competitive game for nearly 3 years, and have only lost three times in the knockout stages of major tournaments in the last 27 years.

England haven't gone beyond that certain stage/point in the euro's or WC. They've failed to achieve their potential time and again, 20+ years of dashed hope and pain is enough for any fan to endure. The FA will not learn from lessons past and this is reflected in the team.
The last speck/particle of hope is in Saint Georges Park and yet it'll take over 10 years before England actually reach their true potential depending on if they really want it or not.

Good job but they were lucky in terms of Lampards goal, not often he scores for his country.
