David Moyes at Man City ???
Pepe has gone.........Mourinho isn't the Sheikh's kind of guy. So why not give Moyes the job he probably deserves...
Reading, Sunderland, Everton, Liverpool have all shown the World that If you chase everything in midfield and defend narrow then you can stop £400 million worth of players from playing..
Liverpool should have had 6 points from us this year...Twice they've bashed us and I'm glad we can't have them in the FA cup.
Look at our bench yesterday....Why not stick Tevez on and apart from him....who can change a game...
Time for a change.....Moyes can tighten up the back and he's shown how effective Everton are going forward this year.....
David Moyes...Why not...he'd do for me!!

Maybe, have to wonder whether hes better scouting gems that persuading the best players to join/managing their egos.

Thing is it's not the managers doing the scuoting. The clubs have their networks set up, and when the scouts think a player should be brought to the club's attention they compile a dossier on him for review. Moyes will look at 3/4 new players every week, and review the progress of probably a couplf dozen more. He's the guy who says 'get me this guy', not the guy who finds him. Thats the scouting network.
Albion's is first-class, and it shows every single season.

Moyes lack of big club experience will hurt him...but he could be the next Ferguson.....
Certainly with our struggles down the middle (Mancini has never heard of wingers) he can at least maybe keep it tight at the back..
Think he deserves a shot..

Its one thing at Everton though, another at Man City when you're expected to get the best players to join rather than the gems. Would he have signed a Cahill at City for example

Moyes' contract up in the summer as well, so it'd be an ideal time for him to test himself elsewhere. What makes you think Mourinho's not to the Sheikh's liking Truss?

I don't think so, because Cahill isn't where City should be aiming in my opinion. They should aim for better. And I think Moyes would be very good at persuading players to come and win things with him.GSC wrote:Its one thing at Everton though, another at Man City when you're expected to get the best players to join rather than the gems. I'm sure I read somewhere that Mourinho's disciplinary record doesn't count favorably with the type of Image he sees city as having..

Re: David Moyes at Man City ???
I think you will have Mourinho at City next season and Moyes will join United in a couple more and get the job he deserves, no disrespect to Everton. City will not be patient with Moyes and I think he would need a bit of time to adjust to a team with all those big names in there. With no real experience in Europe (Champions League) and never troubling the top teams for the league he would quickly be under pressure. I hope Fergie takes a back seat at the club but not fully retire in a couple of years and oversees the changeover with Moyes as the replacement. He would be perfect for United with a little help and time and Mourinho would fit the bill at a big spending, star studded team like City.

Re: David Moyes at Man City ???
I actually see moyes as the perfect replacement for ferguson. I think jose would want to stamp his authority straight away and make too many changes.
Moyes is from the same ilk and background as ferguson with a lot of the same attributes.
Depending on how many years down the line it were to happen the only problem I would foresee is his legal history with rooney.
City on the other hand. I wouldnt be suprised to see someone like loew come in. I get the feeling he would like a chance in england, hes young with a decent record. The only real blip was that one game against italy. He stays fairly loyal with his lineup once someone earns a role too. I think he would bring am air of stability

Like has been stated, I think Man Utd suits Moyes a lot.
I believe he and Rooney settled their dispute a few years ago, so I cannot see any problem with them resuming their relationship. I think Rooney would be very glad to see Moyes as the manager.

Re: David Moyes at Man City ???
having been to the everton game yesterday cant see many of the big clubs liking moyles style, there tactic all game was just fire it long to anichebe and fellani. i know you have to play to your strengths and he has had very little money to spend but he has always had a direct style that seems to be overlooked more so than the likes of big sam, pullis etc
think he deserves a chance with a bigger club and we would possibly see a change in style but dont see any of the bigger clubs giving him that chance.
