Hi everyone, i'm Lance Taylor and welcome to EWF presents behind the curtain.

Behind the curtain takes a closer look at some of your favourite EWF Superstars and what makes them tick. On this weeks episode we explore the brawler from Hell's Kitchen New York, Vincent Costello and how he found his way to the Elite Coliseum here in the city of angels, Los Angeles.

It all started in the flames of Hell's Kitchen for Vincent Costello who tragically lost his father at a very young age, it was shortly after his fathers untimely passing that Vincent was recruited into the mob and it was this Italian 'family' that saw the potential in Costello right from such a tender age.

As the years went by Costello was making a name for himself as a fearless street thug with stories of him overcoming insurmountable odds in street fights whilst brawling for territory with other gangs and it was this solid education that put Costello on the path to the EWF.

The mob were right to invest in Costello as his potential quickly turned into financial gain, Vincent not only had the only territory which was fully paid up for their protection each month every month but he was starting to acquire notoriety amongst some of the more senior members of the mob. It was one of these more senior members that would take Vincent under his wing and teach him how to exploit your opponents weaknesses both in and out of a fight.

However it was one afternoon late in spring that saw Costello's affiliation with the mob come to a rather sour end, he had become very successful and very well know at such a young age and resentment among more senior members of the mob was starting to develop. Vincent had become cocky and arrogant, untouchable he believed and it was this cocktail that would see his expulsion from the 'family'.

Costello was sold out by a senior member of the 'family' in a deal that went wrong and Vincent was left to take the blame, outraged and angered he beat the man to within inch of his life. Now under normal circumstances this wouldn't have been too much of an issue in the mob, however the injured party who to this day has never full regained vision in his left eye just happened to be a made man, which is a major faux pas in mob culture.

Costello was out of the mob and everything he knew was taken away from him, overtime he grew resentful, jealous and twisted, combined with his indestructible self opinion he soon found himself in trouble with the law, without the back up of the mob to protect him and bribe for him. Vincent ended up in the dock for GBH after a robbery went wrong and was sent to the state pen after the jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict.

Costello spent 5 years in the pen, kicking, punching and scratching his way to the the top of the food chain, it was during this time inside that he developed an interest in wrestling and soon became transfixed on conquering the professional scene. After his release from prison Costello went on to be formally trained by legendary former world heavyweight champion Italian Luca Rossi. He didn't last long in the infamous 'hole' training academy and was expelled by Rossi for unsportsmanlike conduct and use of excessive force in sparing matches.

Following his expulsion from the 'hole' Costello joined the independent wrestling scene where he held an amateur record of 20 fights- 14 victories-0 draws- 6 defeats (5 via DQ).

It was in late December 2012 that Costello officially signed his EWF contract after being identified by the companies scouting network as 'one to watch'.

So what next for Vincent Costello? He's scheduled to face Mike Conrad in a race for the championships match this coming week on conflict, will this battle hardened competitor claim the biggest prize in EWF and become the next world champion? Only time will tell but one thing is for sure Vincent Costello plans to take everything and leave nothing from the EWF roster.

Thanks for tuning in folks, I've been Lance Taylor, you've been watching EWF presents: behind the curtain and that's all for now, until next time...good night
