Will Arsen Wenger Be The Arsenal Manager At The Start Of Next Season???
No trophies in 8 years and potentially missing out on a Champions League place this season.
How many managers would be indulged to this extent? Wenger seems to be surviving on past glories.
Should Wenger be moved on? Bring in a manager with fresh ideas. Wenger was revolutionary 16 years ago but he seems to be stuck in heavy mud at the moment.
Is Wenger's time up at Arsenal?

There are some seriously fundamental issues with arsenal which seem to stem from Wenger:
Defensive issues still a problem season after season that arnt addressed
Now a selling club who can't hold on to their top stars
Refusal to spend serious money despite constant statements that funds are available
Wenger has lost faith in his own ability to find quality players a trait that stood him apart from his peers for years
His ridiculous wage structure that sees the top players earning almost as much as the worst
I could go on...
Personally I hope he stays!

This year he has spent quite a bit, Cazorla was a £20 million signing, so investing nearly all the Van Persie money. Podolski was signed for about £11 million. £10 million on Giroud. £8 million on Monreal. And tying down Theo Walcott to a big contract.
Not including wages that's nearly £50 million spent on international quality players. I'm not sure what more you can ask from him in the transfer market.

The bizarre thing is that as a squad they are probably much better than last year. Going forward they look good with Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud, Wilshire and Walcott. But defensively they look horrible. The only height they have is Mertesacker and he doesn't seem in control of his own legs at times. It's the same old problem with Arsenal they need a leader at the back.
I think Wenger will stay on for one more year then step up stairs.

There's a lot of talk about Wenger not drilling the team on defensive play and position awareness. Bould alledgedly is not afforded the time to do basic drills like backs versus forward to build the defense into a cohesive unit. It's very much the opposite of George Graham marshaling the defense with ruthless discipline.

If he doesn't get 4th he has to go.
To think Arsenal still have players like Squillaci, Djourou, Andre Santos on ridiculous amounts of money a week (even though some have been shipped on loan)

It stands to rights that the likes of RVP are going to want to move on when he looks over his shoulder and see's Squillaci earning almost the same as him. The logic of wenger's wage structure is understandable but in practice it just doesn't work

In Wenger we trust.
Arsenal's problems started the moment Dein left. Gazidis seems to be totally inept at sponsorships and player contracts.
Arsene is still the best available manager out there. Be careful for what you wish for. Look no further than Liverpool. They wanted Dalgleish and got him.
