Always fun revisiting this one!
Had it 115-114 to Ibeabuchi, and that's acknowledging that there were some seriously close rounds thrown in. In the end I had Ibeabuchi winning the first, third, fourth, ninth, tenth and twelfth. I had the fifth even with the rest for Tua.
Amazing inside exchanges throughout, but the key for me was the moments in which there was a bit of space between them, and in those moments Ibeabuchi really took over with that ramrod jab of his. I think Ike was allowed to get away with a few sneaky fouls to make that room, mind you.
Great to see it again.

Yes I enjoyed watching it again,at the time I had Tua sneaking it but after replaying it had to agree with the judges. If only Ibeabuchi hadn't have gone mental I'm sure he would have been a top contender. That was only his 17th fight.I don't know when he's due out of prison, somehow I don't see him getting out early for good behaviour.

ike ibeabuchi is evidence that boxing leads to brain damage. Not all boxers uffer damage as severe as his but ike's was bad. If your job i to get punched in the face for 20 years you are bound to siffer some kind of trauma.
I honestly think that in 100 or 200 years time people will look back on boxing the same way we view extreme sports that went on in the past.

na - same thing happened to McClellan. He walked through Julian Jacksons shots but it damaged him in some way, so when he fought benn - first one to give him a bit of difficulty it came out.
For ike it caused him to act erratically and the doctors practically begged the court to assign him psychiatric help and drugs after he kidnapped his nephew and then tried to commit suicide. Reckon some money changed hands and he was let out.

I havent seen this fight for a good 5 years but I do remember giving Tua the close decision originally. It will be good to watch it and score again. I will do when I get home later.

I'm up for giving it a score. Only seen the fight once and that was only because I had heard how batcrap mad "The President" Ike Ibeabuchi was!
Is he still in prison? (Didn't he slap a stripper about or something?).

More like took her hostage, the police needed to use smoke grenades to get him out and restrain him. Yer he's still in prison, been turned down for parole a few times aswell I believe.
Dont think this fight helped his psychosis much

Damn! I heard about the hostage taking the the kid (got off from an attempted murder with an attempted suicide). If it wasn't for the psychosis I honestly think he would have been a World Champ.

I think the story goes after the fight he went to see a doctor because he was complaining of headaches, (Can see why) the doctor could find nothign wrong with him physically after conducting all kidns of tests on him. Then he started claiming he could see demons appearing in front him (Never a good sign) think it just sent him properly over the edge.
