postponements

i have noticed newport (11) and halifax (13) have a hell of a lot of games still to play in the remaining 30 days of the season. and with snow forecast for the next few days its likely there will be further postponements this weekened.

newport have reportedly asked for the season to be extended but feel this plea will be rejected. both teams are currently in play off positions in their leagues but both could see their chances of promotion completely fall apart due to the amount of games they still have to play plus another 3 possibly should they somehow still finish in the playoffs. im not sure how they are expected to play all these fixtures with small squads.

any newport or halifax fans about?

The county leagues have had there league extended i believe.

The Ryman leagues have applied to have a league extension.

halifax's game has been called off again today

Newport lost again today, my feelings is that whilst the fixture backlog isn't/hasn't helped them they were probably going to fall away anyway.
