Audley v Wilder fight Signed
Audley Harrison (31-6, 23 KO’s) has agreed the terms for his fight against the 6’7” Deontay Wilder (27-0, 27 KO’s) for a scheduled 10 round fight on April 27th at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
Here we go again. Somebody is getting KO'd, guess who?
Adds a little bit more flavor to the already action packed next couple of months of boxing ahead.
Edit: This fight on the Khan undercard. Quigg is being added to the card. Little brother Haroon Khan making his debut.

Its a step up for Wilder but you'd have to think as soon as he lands Audley will go in to his shell and it'll be over.

If Audrey waits that long to go into his shell then the fight might be worth watching. Id wish he would just take the attitude that this could be his last chance ever and just go for it. But history tells us that it won't be his last chance. He'll always be welcomed back for at least 1 more prizefighter.hampo171 wrote:Its a step up for Wilder but you'd have to think as soon as he lands Audley will go in to his shell and it'll be over.
I know wilder talked Thompson, and I think it's good for British boxing that America new (and almost last) hope is fighting in Blighty, but I would have preferred to have seen him in with Arreola.
Since Arreola got beaten by Adamek he seems to have become the forgot man of American heavyweight boxing. Has he retired??

Arreola has hardly been forgotten Jim. He's in an final eliminator for the WBC title later this year.

Wow, thanks hampo, that completely bypassed me. He had been on a very active streak a year or two ago, saying regular fights kept him in shape. Hopefully the fact that he hasn't been active of late, doesn't result in him turning up as a 300lb mess.

Think they due to fight last month but injury delayed the fight.

Arreola came back with a couple of wins and went down in weight for 260/270 against Vitlai, to about 230 in his last couple
I regards to the fight, its a bit bogus tbh but you have to look at Wilders record so far and see its a genuine step up
He needs to be as impressive as Price (or even haye) and the chances are he can be. He has been down a couple times before but audley is too gun-shy to get to his chin

Audley might do it you know.
Wilder is really wild open when he lets his hands go. It'll be a right let down if he's chinny. The division is desperate.

Great move this fight for Wilder who is being managed well.........
Mickey Duff did the same with Mugabi...stiff after stiff after stiff...but stiffs that get you a name without risking your unbeaten tag.........
Harrison is a name and will offer sack all.........
Hurt business might as well get beat for $5 million in a title fight as being beaten like Price in a meaningless one......

Also this one is on the undercard of Khan's homecoming fight.
Should be a media fest.

Re: Audley v Wilder fight Signed
Audley is the most frustrating fighter i have ever seen, if he was even to believe 50% of the stuff that comes out of his own mouth he could still do damage. He has every tool in the box physically and possesses skills most fighters would give anything for, but ironically for a bloke that talks himself up so much, he has no self belief at all and is mentally extremely fragile.

You've got to give it a-farce. Everytime we say we'll never let him sucker us in again. Everytime, he pops a couple of stiffs, claims a new focus and redemption, and we end up giving it the 'if audley is in shape , if audley doesn't freeze, I'd audley has solved those mental demons, if audley has grown a pair and acquired some whiskers.'
It's his destiny. I belieeeeeve brothers!

Re: Audley v Wilder fight Signed
Audley looked good in Prize fighter, in great shape, good timing and looked far better than he has done in his last 4 fights regardless of opposition. He was countering rather then covering up which is what he has needed to do for a while now.. If he takes that into this fight it could be interesting but Wilder is just as big which will reduce Audleys reach and size advantage, and Wilder hits like a steam train so while I would like Audley to win I see a 4th or 5th round KO where he will be stopped. Who knows though maybe the A Force will pass the test

Even in the unlikely event Audley put on a clinic, I think it would say more about Wilder than Audley. I just dont rate him. No world class boxer should be losing to Audley.

I honestly don't think it'll last 90 seconds.
